When I picked this origin, I am unable to build any robot from the robot assembly line, my pop just refuse to work there at all !

It would be good if the new aquatic machine portrait was added to the lineup of portraits for your robots. Also, is this compatible with the Machine and Robotic Empires DLC patch?

hbg31 This is due to the 2.6.3 update. It has major problems regarding factions and game performance overall.

I advice playing the newest beta until the official update is here.

maybe its because robot naturally drift towards materialist and since i was a fanatic militarist authortarian it would make the militarist and authortarian factions but all the pops moved to a materialist faction, so constant pop ups of militarist and authortarian factions keep popping up because of my ethics but they keep swapping back to materialist. probably just me not having materialist as a governing ethic

a faction gets founded but starts losing and regaining pops until it disappears and factions get formed again to lose pops and cycle continues, other all it does affect gameplay it is just annoying

Omnishambles, I'm wanting to upload a mod similar to this one but with my own ascension paths, traits, traditions, events, ect, is it alright if i borrow some elements of your mod to help set a foundation?

This mod includes adjustments to several traditions to make them robot-friendly, along with a whole slew of fixes. Maybe look into-built in support or compatability?

I considered that but then you get bonuses to jobs that you can't use instead of governing ethics attraction. I haven't looked into traditions too much though, it could be possible to only use some from synchronicity and some from harmony. That would also make it incompatible with tradition mods though.

Just reporting that you should probably change the Harmony Traditions so that it adopts the Gestalt version of it. Stuff like increased lifespan are totally worthless for a Robot Civ. (Synths still breakdown and stuff)

Turns out my issue was caused by some portrait mod. Also had no idea that Barbaric Despoilers have adaptability tree. Again, thanks for awesome mod, everything seems to be working perfectly now.

I just noticed my Federation tree was replaced with Adaptability on a normal empire.

@Rhaas It works perfectly fine for me, must be something else causing your problem. Robot and machine mod points are different, the techs are different.

I found a major bug, technology that adds robomodding trait points simply doesn't work now. It's probably because robots with your origin are considered synths and not machines.

Maybe bio-assimilation could additionally unlock a new living standard? "Virtual Bliss" or "Augmented Reality" or something. +15% Happiness and slightly reduced pop upkeep, maybe 0.8 consumer goods? Plus unemployed research production and you have a unique, flavourful bonus for robot empires that doesn't make other options like shared burdens, academic privilege or utopian abundance redundant, ore acting like a useful halfway between all of them

I think removing the trait point from bio-assimilation makes sense, it's a little balancing and doesn't "fit" with the perk. An ascension path should be more than just tons of trait points

@Ragadad Nope, just empires with the origin will be able to use them, they're meant to be the robot equivalent of the ascension paths.

I'm also thinking of removing the +1 points from bio-assimilation and removing one from robotic mastery, because at the moment ascended synths end up with 5 mod points and robotic civs with 8 which seems at bit OP.

You might want to add possible_secondary false. Everything works fine without it but it's causing some ui glitches on my end during syncretic creation.
