Description
Short Description:

- This mod grants all empires an edict that allows them to enter into wars being waged by their allies.

- In a Federation, only the Federation leader can suggest joining an ally's war.

For the purposes of this mod, an ally is an country that:
- Has a positive opinion ( > 0 ) of your empire
- Has greater than or equal to 10 trust of your empire
- Has an embassy in your empire

Changes From Original:

- Does not require Diplomacy tradition to be adopted.

- One year wait time between interventions as opposed to 5.

- Interventions start at 120 Influence, and increase in cost every intervention you have within a 15 year period. For the price to reset, wait 15 years between interventions.

- If your ally is engaged in multiple wars, you must specify which war you want to join.

- Various English localization changes.

- Allies whose wars you join will get a +150 opinion modifier from you that decays -3 / year, so it will completely decay 50 years after the you enter the war.

Support:

- Full support for Zenith of Fallen Empires

- Support for new AI personalities added by More AI Personalities

Notes:

- Right now, this can be used to get around the 10-year truces. This may be fixed in the future.

- The AI had been coded to be able to use the edict, but it seems like they will always use it if they can, so I'm taking their ability to use it away for now until I figure out how to make it more random.

Credit:

- Obviously credit to lpslucasps and their original mod. I never got to use it, but it was great idea that I wanted to be able to use. Check out the original mod description for more info.

Yeah it should work fine. I'll update the version number soon.

Is this mod working on the latest update? sounds like its right up my alley, but not tried it before.

@MrFunEGUY
How about something like this: base 50% for an AI to join war in favor of a friendly nation. -25% if the enemy is also a friend. -50% if no participant in the war have close borders, +25% if they also hate the friend's enemy.

These are just some random numbers to better convey the idea btw. I know the game have a built-in way to calculate border proximity due to how the AI calculate if they want to join a federation or not, so that could be helpful to you.

@Zenchi.Senkusha - Not a bad solution, for sure. It's just that the lack of actual nuance, or even the appearance of nuance, kinda annoys me. Even in your proposal, the AI could join a war that none of their ships can reach. That's definitely what I view as the biggest problem. There are some workarounds I could try though, I suppose.

Perhaps for the time being a hard coded trigger for if an AI has say 500 (making up numbers) friendship and at least 120 trust, then there's a 20% chance of the AI joining said war after Random(1-12) months. With another 1% for every additional 10 friendship (10% per hundred), and another 1% chance for every 5 trust. Even modded out games should passively cap at about ~50%

Regarding the previous comment, is there an option to enable the AI to use this mod? I would personal love to see what this woul look like:

Commander Star Feb 23 @ 10:42pm
Does the AI also have the option to get involved? Can you imagine, a conflict that started with 2 nations, but as nations get involved and now the war escalated to a galactic scale. The chaos! lmao

@Commander Star - No, because there isn't a good way to have them do it. I want them to, so I'll look into it again eventually.
