Greetings K-medlock, I was outfitting this cruiser for extended deployment for and incursion into hostile territory. Its purpose was to savage the enemy and leave smoldering wrecks in its assault. However, its jumpdrive system seems to have an issue. It wants to always find an obstacle about 107 meters away and trunicates the jump. I have even taken the step of moving the jump drive to various locations and received the same result. Being you are the master shipwright of this vessel, perhaps you could solve this issue. My many thanks and I commend you on your designs.

Yeah i used Kinetic penetrators in quite a few of my builds, but their size is quite anoying.

Heh happy to be of help. For added damage, drop the warhead. Turrets will pop it too easily. Use either blast block alone (kinetic penetrator), or blast block with a cargo container behind it. Put a few seperate (5k?) stacks of iron ingot in the cargo.

I used torps very similar to yours when I first started using special weapons in SE. They are very cheap and very effective for price.

These days I do more guided missiles, working with Alysius. Will be uploading a guided torpedo frigate in a day or two; fires 3d printed anti cap ship torps up to 100km - with script guidance for fire-and-forget action. One shot kill for most cap ships. But the material cost for both firing ship and torpedo itself is much greater than the system your using. Your way has its advantages. And no scripts required, always nice.

Got ya. Similar to my old gravity torps. Thought yours may have thrusers.

Try adding a sensor to turn off the mass block when it detects a grid. That way mass block turns off right after torpedo fires, thus preventing gravity shields from deflecting.

@FowlPlayChiken The torpedo constists of a merge block, battery, mass block, warhead and blast door block.

For some reason the Havok Guided Missiles won't launch. I can open the doors and weld them together, but the missile launch program does absolutely nothing.

personally if it were me i would want it big have it run right down the center of the ship. glass windows over the track. that would be really cool. i figure the longer the barrel the faster it will go.

Spent some more time exploring this ship. I really love the way you have used the large ramp pieces as archways ect. Mass Driver is just plain cool The detail on the LCDs was really well done. Great Job.

@cswheele A mass driver is basically a coil gun, which means that a projectile is electomagnetically accelerated and fired. The projectile then leaves the barrel at an incredible high speed.

@Ento i find that building as you go along helps, say i start with a detailed front and go along, like a nice front, Upsidedown triangle like, Maybe with a rectange over the bottom half of the bottom of the triangle? that the triangle goes for a long way (50 blocks) and then expands alot and becomes a hanger ETC
