Hi everyone, thanks for the support :)
I have updated the mod, the portrait should be under Dwarven class now.
Ideally, I would love the portrait to be under Humanoid class so this is just temporary, once the game fixed portrait modding, I'll probably move them again to Humanoid.

This still shows the dwarves in "mammalian". Unfortunately, on race select, that means all other mammalians don't show.

I have an Asari mod which has its own species class "Asari" with only the Asari portrait. So the solution may be somewhere along those lines.

Yes it does indeed crash when designing your homeworld. Once you've selected it, it goes to the city design and crashes. I imagine it is overwriting something as others have stated, only in this case what it is overwriting is not immediately visible. Others have fixed their races to go into the same category, others have used a new species class.

Can confirm that the crash happens despite disabling DLC. It's may have something to do with their mammalian classification as similiar mods have solved this problem via creating a new species class or moving to the Humanoid species class.

It doesn't crash right at the start. When you go to the ship or city designs, then it crashes.
I've been able to get around it by just not messing with either, although I would like it to be fixed at one point.

Hmm. I'm not sure what caused the crash, unfortunately :(
Since I'm able to start the game with the mod enabled on my end.
Could be because I don't have the latest dlc, and maybe it does something differently from the vanilla game?

@Commander ♠ Jasina I have to admit though i know and already played Dwarf Fortress I did not know that specific playthrough.
I´m not asking him to do events ;) A friend and me are going to add them to our mod and link to mochakingup´s mod page for the dwarven pictures.

I hope you will continue you work on this mod. I´m a big fan of the Tolkien style dwarfs. As your dwarfs fall in that category as well I assumed they could use a fitting homesystem and story. You know there is only one thing that exceeds dwarven achievements: great tragedies that nearly destroy their whole civilisation and forcing them to start from scratch. I´m working on system initialisers and for this purose have already added a system to it which will get a questline with your dwarfs in mind.

@Malthus Hi, thanks! yeah that's ultimately what I'd like to do, separate the hairs and clothes just like the vanilla portraits. Unfortunately that's outside of my capability right now. I have some plans, but not sure when will I have the time to get them done.
As for the naked dwarves, pretty sure they can withstand the cold, lol xD

Or what would be really cool would be an option to choose the head and armor seperately. It would be also nice to get rid of the naked male bodies (don´t get me wrong, they are well done but those armors are just to sweet to not wear one ;) )

Awosme now i can play my foavorite fantasy race and the traits support their fantasy tropes, Long lived vernerable, Xenophoibic, Militaristic, Repundent, slow breeders, had to chooses arid planet as their is no base mountian planet to choose as homeworld

FYI you can grab an educational license for Maya from their website. Pretty much has the same features as the pro one, you just cant use it for commercial purposes (which means mods are Ok).

Have you considered moving the Dwarves to a separate fantasy category? Since you have them in Mammalian, you are forced to scroll to get to the other portraits. If you click to another phenotype while scrolled down, there is a UI bug where the next phenotype selected after Mamallian is just blank boxes.
