Are you still intending to update this mod? I also wanted to say that MEM has an option to disable the shield visual for people in the settings. Nothing is better than immersion breaking while we wait for the update.

Hi; sure I can fix that.

I'm just waiting on the big 4.0 update to drop before making any mod changes (personally, I haven't played this due to the pop lag - given 4.0's attempts to fix this, I'll be playing it a LOT more around then ;))

Sorry for the nitpicking, for the next update, could you please add the "v" letter for the "supported_version" property in the descriptor? mod file for the next mod update? Otherwise, the launcher still complains, "This mod was created for another game version ..." and displays an exclamation mark icon.

You can also set "supported_version=v3.*" to avoid updating it for every minor version.

I've also reported this as a bug but so far no fix.

It just that the problem this mod fixes is the same problem that I described with the other mods I mentioned, sorry, IDK why I made that comment in the first place, I think some cables got mixed in my head

This patch is for Real Space and the More Events mod. What you're asking relates to an entirely different series of mods which this does not cover unfortunately.

In addition, I don't use the mods you mention so wouldn't even know where to begin.

Hello, thank you for your help, I was wondering if you can also look into the precusor shipyards building that we get around some planets and some stars when it comes to some event mods, these happen to be out of place just like the planetary shields, and I believe that these buildings spawn from Guilli's planetary effects mod... tysm

Well that can't be right; I've made it so that the mod considers planets up to size 32 (I don't expect many planets will come close to that size). Try testing with planet size 32 and let me know if I may need to expand the mod to say size 40.

Thank you for checking. I installed only this mod and the essential mods and checked again, and it seems that it doesn't work properly if the planet size exceeds 31.

So I've tested the planet shields in game; set one planet size to 25, another to 30. As you can see from the pictures, both work fine.

You may have a conflict with another mod in your game; also, just to be sure, make sure that you have More Events, Real Space AND Real Space - System Scale downloaded and placed ABOVE this mod.

Ahh I see; planets of 25+ size don't have a shield. Simple explanation is that I never added parameters for such sizes into the shield gen file. I'll have a look over the weekend and see if I can fix this.

UPDATE: Updated this for 3.11.

Additionally, expanded shield for larger planets (size 25+) so they now will also display shields correctly. Any questions let me know!

I'm having this isssue... but with orbital stations? Don't want to bother you, but I was able to get my shields fixed and now I've somehow switched the problem to orbitals? Has anyone had that issue? I do not think it's got anything to do directly with this mod though.

You were both right, it seems Gigastructural enginnering is the culprit, or specifically the real space system scale/giga 3.8 patch.

Ah yes; if I recall Gigastructural Engineering conflicts with this. Try disabling that to see if it works fine and get back to me.

I have the same floaty shield issue turning off this mod makes the shield disappear completely was testing to see if a conflict between this and Gigastructural Engineering Patch 3.8

Hmm. Try moving your other mods around as well (e.g. System Scale) and see if that makes any changes.

Alternatively, you might have a conflicting mod - I believe AoT affects the shields as well for example.

Not sure what is affecting it, but I have moved this all the way to the bottom which fixed the planetary shield size to be correct, but the shield itself is still hovering above the planets. :( Anyone else got the same issue?
