The mod is still working well as of v3.14.15926.

I have noticed something odd in my last game that might indicate a compatibility issue with the Nemesis DLC. I was using one of the custom map sizes, spotted compact (300 stars) with Islands shape. I became the crisis and started using Star-Eaters to blow up stars, but noticed I wasn't getting any dark matter from turning the stars to black holes. It then occurred to me that the Star-Eaters give you dark matter based on the galaxy size, but they might not be coded in a way that would recognize new galaxy size generation settings. Can the mod author confirm if this would be because of the custom galaxy sizes or not?

I haven't encountered any issues with this in testing, bumped the version to 3.12.x

Any chance of an update to 3.11? Or maybe a submod for the new galaxy shapes that doesn't necessarily need to be updated? The islands map is awesome

does this work with gigastructures? specifically the one with the aeturnium, i'm doing a playthrough with eclipse enabled and i've taken over the galactic core but i just want to know if the black holes will also spread into the galactic core.

I don't know if it is only me, but relular endgame crisis don't seem to pop. Is it intended? i'm with the default mod options (aka, "everything off"), crysis type 'all', crisis strangth 5x.

Since the mod doesn't overwrite any vanilla files the new sizes aren't in order and galaxy shapes aren't available for vanilla sizes.
Try setting options to default, then changing galaxy size to any of the modded sizes (go past the maximum vanilla size; it should go from huge (1000 stars) to micro (100 stars) ) then you'll be able to access modded shapes as well.

I'm not sure what mod exactly you're referring to, but this should work with pretty much everything out there. Although you probably won't be able to pick shapes from this mod with other modded sizes and vice versa.

Just checked it out & you're right, there was an issue. Thanks for noticing!

Updated, Attrition should work correctly now. Additionally, I've added options to customize eclipses' chance to blow up systems as well as the percentage of the Galaxy which is being destroyed.

Let me know if you encounter any other issues!

Not for this mod I'm afraid, but I was working on something very similar to what you just described not that long ago. Right now the only way to survive is to settle on the innermost planets and be very lucky, or by going back into the destroyed systems and building habitats. Eclipse doesn't go from system to system via hyperlane, it's entirely based on distance from the galaxy core. Which I'll also update to be a customizeable option in the future. Sudden Death isn't really something you're supposed to be able to defend against. It's different from a crisis because it is supposed to bring the game to an end, or at the very least drastically accelerate the end.

I do have a mod planned which adds actual crises though...

the eclipse scenario sounds cool :)
i once posted an idea for a crisis event, about systems imploding or exploding from system to system (via joined hyperlanes), and using the gigastructure mods to remove key hyperlanes to prevent a full cascade, so its nice to see the eclipse concept as a mod :)

maybe that extra feature could be a part of it somehow too? :lunar2019piginablanket:

Looks like a really cool mod, I'll be checking it out. I think a Hyperlane Stabiliter tech and space building could be fun with this. A Sunshield tech and building/relic could perhaps reduce or stop the Eclipse?

Update!

I've added a new Sudden Death: "War in Hell", which will begin every available crisis randomly over the specified duration.
There's also two new Cosmic Seasons with purely positive effects on Research and Energy Production respectively.
Lastly, I've added several new delay options and shorter timeframes for all existing features.

Shouldn't be a problem, mod was created with multiplayer in mind. Menu only shows for Host.
I'd recommend to have Eclipse turned off though, as it can sometimes have bad interactions with other events and may lead to crashes. Even if it's pretty rare (maybe one in twenty+ games) and usually resolves itself by simply restarting the game.
Other than that I'm not aware of any issues, would love to hear more mp feedback.

As for new timeframes for Emperor's Throne, that's an easy addition. I was going to post a small update soon anyway, will include that.

Hey! I run some community games in my discord server and some of these win conditions would be great. We play with quite quick setting so we can get a full game done in 3-4hrs.

Would it be possible for smaller time settings, especially on the emperor's throne win condition. 5/10 yrs would be great :D

I dont get any of the new Sizes or shapes appear at all. Is load order something to do with this as i have no other mods that change the sizes of the galaxy?

I forgot to post about this last week but playing on one of the modded sizes seems to have broken the 'Become The Crisis' stuff. When blowing up stars it gave no dark matter when I was playing on a size 700 world.

There will be new variants in the future, but I haven't planned for a wild space one. Which doesn't mean it can't happen eventually though.

Any possibility of implementing a galaxy variant similar to the mod "Wild Space 3" where chunks of the map aren't able to be claimed? The mod hasn't been updated in almost 2 years.

Ahmm Is there a way to deactivate emperors throne system after game start because it looks like anyone can reach them all the time and I dont want to have borders with multiple nations at once?

Maybe deleting its event may help before the tech or trigger?

Everything is turned off by default, you have to turn on the individual options at the start of the game. So yes.

It's another Sudden Death Mechanic I'm working on. I suppose you could consider it a Battle Royale type of Endgame; It forces total wars between all empires until someone wins the game. It also spawns every possible crisis, including midgame crises.

Nothing fancy, just pure chaos.

Yeah I was thinking more as actual galaxies like we see in the default game, only there's multiple of them in the same session.
