Truly a shame this mod is dead
Martarion máj. 21., 14:54
The crash that you get when acquiring tech from a corporation can be fixed by deleting a text file called iisc random events, or something like that. However, in my latest playthrough from v3.14, I rarely had a corporation fully functional. They would usually still spawn fleets, science ships, and convoys, but would never use their construction ships nor upgrade (or even spawn) their headquarters. With the sweeping changes to the game in v4.0, even if crashes can be averted, I don't think it's worthwhile to continue to use this mod if it would still even work.
WalrusMan máj. 17., 12:46
damn shame this never got developed anywhere near the potential they hoped for. It happens, but still sucks. Not really a mod that effectively does this for the current game. I really want something to bring that Distant Worlds feel
Aech máj. 5., 10:07
was such an awesome mod, what a shame.
Atomistic ápr. 23., 13:50
yeah fuck this mod, holy shit. took me way too long to find out this crashes my game. what a shame
闪耀卷心菜 ápr. 11., 7:17
So why is it that when my company acquires new technology, as soon as I click OK, the game crashes?
smirkyshadow márc. 2., 16:32
Yeah this needed to be fixes, it genuinely crashes the game after a while, it's specifically this mod
jtbush00 febr. 7., 22:59
Would really love this to be updated
Pixel Brick febr. 5., 11:25
Whenever I fight ships from another empire it crashes any fixes?
Despasibo jan. 3., 16:45
While it was a great proof of concept initially, I'd advise others who think about getting this to avoid it purely because of the potential lag and other problems that arise from this mod when it works. The mini corporations construction system resource miners is helpful along with the money, but in my opinion I don't think it's worth all the fleets all the companies make clogging up the game's processing resources, especially when every faction gets their own set of companies.
Martarion jan. 3., 15:17
In case anyone wants to rename their corporation after it has spawned - the name components are located in your gamestate file. It seems like each corporation might spawn with its own naming rules (my corporation was FedTec Group, components "prefix," "suffix," and "final" but the mod file contains other component groups) so be aware of how your name is constructed. There are two locations, thankfully right on top of/below each other, where the name is recorded that you should change.
Spider 2024. dec. 5., 7:09
Really? It works just by deleting the tech events? Awesome! I'll give it a try then.
Seamus, That's the Dog 2024. okt. 7., 20:14
CTD issues can be solved by deleting iisc_technology_events.txt . Better yet, add a .old extension to it or something similar.
Obviously this disables the free tech feature, but hey, at least the mod works and the game doesn't crash.
:) 2024. szept. 26., 9:02
is this mod still alive?:steamsad:
:) 2024. szept. 26., 8:51
i got ctd from this mod and it needs to be fixed

Failed to find a random name for ship size 'living_industrial_06', for Country 'Civilians (193)'

Secutor 2024. júl. 10., 14:56
I get instant CTD when one of the my corporiation tried to release a new technology.
Omar Al-Farouq 2024. júl. 7., 16:48
so it says its based on free pops, but is that only at time of founding? for example, if I ascend do they ascend with me? also, a mod gives me a trait that makes pops produce energy, does this mean that the corps get bonus energy?
Maschinenmensch 2024. jún. 22., 4:36
Nice
cosmicomic 2024. jún. 9., 19:38
i have a problem, its tough to democratically vassalise people because corps count as vassals so its almost a -600:Blessing:
Kitten 2024. jún. 5., 23:10
Leaving this comment here to show my support and desire for an update to this mod, I love it to bits! You guys wouldn't perhaps be able to give any timeframes for when we could expect an update to latest version? If not, all good!
Saber Caster 2024. máj. 12., 2:34
PLS:steamthumbsup: I need your mod
KaleQueen123 2024. máj. 2., 7:33
likely the cause of several crashes across a few of my modded games. love the work though and can't wait to see it develop further!
cosmicomic 2024. ápr. 28., 22:07
anyway to force corporations to spawn with commands?
hubertkenobi 2024. márc. 24., 14:05
Are you going to update this mod?
If you want, we can work together on the flexScript mini-software of my "More Picks & Points: Traits|Civics|Ethics [FLEX EDITION]" mod, and I can extend it to auto-update your mod, so everyone is happy, and frees up a bit of your time. I did that for the users of my mod, so they can autoupdate it whenever stellaris is updated.
Ocelot 2024. márc. 21., 3:30
seeing just a random trade fleet get eaten by the space dragon was perfect as a random soft event
Ocelot 2024. márc. 21., 3:28
the world needs this mod
Spider 2024. márc. 19., 3:12
Can confirm the game is crashing when corps release a new tech. The tech overhaul in 3.11 broke the mod.
WalrusMan 2024. márc. 9., 13:59
really hope this gets updated
Elden Ring 2 when? 2024. márc. 6., 2:31
My game is also crashing when a corporation releases a new technology. The moment I hit the button to confirm I instantly CTD reloaded a couple times to make sure it wasnt just a random CTD. The CTD is in fact coming from this awesome mod whenever a corporation releases a new technology.
kIckass 2024. márc. 5., 11:54
my game crashes when a company develops a new tech. Any idea why this happens?
muted = all reported&feed 2024. márc. 5., 6:19
please add a way to buyout all corporate assets or the corporation itself

also renaming corporations for better roleplaying :))

I love this mod, among the best
kIckass 2024. márc. 4., 18:50
it crashes when the companies develop a new tech
Elden Ring 2 when? 2024. márc. 3., 22:59
Can we get an option to choose the corporation shipsets? or are they randomly generated?
jtbush00 2024. márc. 2., 14:55
I would like to change the shipsets of the corporations just to give variety
MasterBot 2024. febr. 22., 18:52
Is there a corp which gives priests per 20 pops?
Elden Ring 2 when? 2024. febr. 21., 18:55
load order?
zlogan999 2024. febr. 13., 6:05
one issue I've encountered is that the corporations take systems, even attacking my allies stations, and it messes with the AI. really enjoy the mod but this messes up a lot of stuff
BayBootyBanger 2024. febr. 12., 10:56
Author I would like it if there is a custom setting to reduce the number of millitary fleets for the corporations.

OR make it part of your mod to focus on civilian trade instead of security fleets.
QuietFoods 2024. febr. 12., 3:32
@Cinnamon Park I know right? ruins such a fun part of the game.
BayBootyBanger 2024. febr. 11., 13:11
hey author is there any way to make corporations a non-subject? I cannot vassalize nor make tributaries because the corporations count as a subject giving me a -1000 malus :(
RedNovember 2024. febr. 6., 18:56
Have blockades been added to this mod yet? I know its listed on the planned features, but I didn't know how up to date that was.
Juhn 2024. febr. 3., 4:49
Yeah, a nationalization/privatization policy sliders could be interesting to deal with annoying corporations, or reward/favor those who do well... :v
Drone Operator 2024. jan. 29., 11:23
Yes it's really annoying how they take rare resources super early
Nanao-kun 2024. jan. 27., 9:03
Is it possible to appropriate company stations in my space? It's incredibly annoying to see them preemptively take over a resource that I can see but can't research yet.
QuietFoods 2024. jan. 26., 11:08
No worries dude, I got no idea how this works so im happy that you even responded lol.
TheFlyingPotato  [készítő] 2024. jan. 26., 9:48
@QuietFoods
I might be able to hack a workaround together. I will take a look this weekend, no promises though
QuietFoods 2024. jan. 26., 2:45
Idk if you have answered this but empires consider companies vassals so it gives a -800 opinion when you attempt to propose vassalization. Anyway to fix this? It really hurts one of my favorite parts of the game, this mod is great but this makes it unusable for me.
TheFlyingPotato  [készítő] 2024. jan. 17., 11:10
@Vincenator I don't think that there is any "billboard" in this mod. The only billboards mod I can think of are the "Living system" ones, but I don't know if there is any up to date
