What is this?

This collection was carefully crafted to turn L4D2 into a next gen game while keeping it as close to Vanilla L4D2 as possible (no stupid color filters, no spongebob survivors, just L4D2, but in 4k)
The purpose is to make L4D2 as next gen as possible without going against the art direction of the game.
It uses all the available compatible mods in the workshop as of 2025, including particles, physics, textures, water improvements, remodels, sounds etc
Note : Dead center and The parish are often oversaturated, so I added a grim color correction in the collection to mitigate this and keep it as close as possible to the original game colors. If you don't want that, simply do not subscribe to the Dull Parish and Dull Center mods.

How to download?
First of all, to avoid bugs and conflicts, I recommend you unsubscribe from all visual mods before subscribing to this collection.
If I didn't add them to the collection there is a reason, I spent a lot of time going through pretty much the entire workshop and tested A LOT of mods. Either they provide inferior visuals or they straight up break something.

Now to download, simply click the "Subscribe to all" button, this is going to take a while to download.

What specs do I need?
It won't run on a potato, but you don't need a RTX5090 either
Personally, I get 300fps on a 1080ti
I recommend storing the game on an SSD because the addons take a while to load on first game startup

Will this work in multiplayer?
Yes, provided that the server allows mods, however some mods, such as the ragdoll physics mod might not work, but the game is still entirely playable.

Some of those mods conflict with eachother, is this normal?

Some of those mods conflict with eachother but don't worry, they work anyways.
I cannot guarantee that this collection will be compatible with other mods, I can only guarantee that this will work without bugs, as I have extensively used it, and noticed no major issue.

Known issues :

        
  • Dead center hotel signs are tinted blue (unfortunately I have no fix for this)
        
  • The burger tank menu on screens is too zoomed in (unfortunately I have no fix for this)
  • In the Passing, the lights are quite blinding, a quick fix is to disable "Enhanced Lighting Effects v2" and "Cinematic Lighting Effects" when playing this campaign, another fix is to play a better campaign ;)
        
  • Game crash : To fix this, go to Options -> Video - > Advanced settings -> set your "Paged pool memory available" to "Low"
