To everyone asking here about sound issues, there are mods for that. It was the first thing I looked up when I heard Bows having cannon sound effects, and matchlocks having bow sound effects.

It's in there for Shogun 2, about 3/4 of the way from the left to right. Shield is half white and half blue with a crest in the middle.

@Lenny_Froggins Where do we select Portugal in the menu? I can't find it in ROTS, Shogun 2 nor FOTS since FOTS shows regular screen.

Huh Ikko Armed Mob got absolutely crushed in a stand up open field fight. Not everything in these games can be quantified with the stats, I have a feeling that they won in your situation because spearman units spread out when they fight, and katanas dont, so your spearmen were funneling themselves into 3 vs 1s at the wall?

IDK but suffice to say: the stats are correct.

I forgot to update the submods. THIS is WHY I dont like making submods btw, because I have to remember to update them. So be thankful I am even willing to make a Sandbox.

@Wolfie that bug is always there since the first few Shogun 2 mods were released. Just use Unofficial Patch 1.7 on workshop, that should help

also after figuring out the issue, when I started a new campaign, the faction trait that you can can see in the faction summary, is not present.

Is that just a visual glitch and the faction trait is still active? Is it intentionally disabled from your end? Just wanted to let you know. Might just be something that is unintentional.

Had to boot up the game around a dozen times to figure which mod was causing it, and yes the load order was correct.

@Lenny_Froggins found an issue on my end, UEFC submod that gives 24 turns per year, crashes the game on start of a new campaign, really like that mod, hope you fix it :)

Well just happened anyway again, on turn 13, when I moved my army out of Hizen one unit of mosqueteiros, piqueiros, and espadichins stayed and instead a general unit, kachi samurai, and yumi kumi were created in my army. Got screenshots of it this time too.

Hello there, just tried the new updated portugal and found that the sandbox submod's reduced recruitment isnt working on the units (at least the lancieros and the arquebusiers). Perhaps you might need to check and update the sandbox mod? Thanks.

Just reinstalled the game and mods and now I don't start with those extra pikeman and unit of arquebuseirs, and those were the units that mutated, so must've just been updates that caused it hahae.

If you are getting crashes and you are new to the mod, try validating game files, clearing your user script ( https://sp.zhabite.com/app/34330/discussions/0/3835423585504483506/ ), and making sure that you have the correct mod load order.

I just played Portugal to 15, no crash,time for bed. GL.

You are ONLY using UEFC? or my submods too? If using submods, load those all above the base UEFC.

On two separate campaigns as Portugal around turn 10 a couple of units when ordered out of a town turn into yari kumi (for pikemen) or yumi kumi (for arquebuseirs/mosqueteiros). If I keep trying to move them out eventually an army is created for a random clan from them, and it appears to corrupt the save file since it crashes when trying to load back in. I checked the save file with editsf and found it still keeps those armies under the player faction.

There are fields for unit icons in the units tables, so where do you set unit icon? UNIFORMS TABLE OFC!!! lol

@Myślenie The Ikko Ikki Armed Mob is the unit you are talking about?

@thecallmeblanketman Thanks for the report. I am starting a new Portugal game but if I cant replicate a specific turn crash, I cant test it. Are you sure your mod files are in the correct order? (check the UEFC mod collection)

Me too man, ive been playing shogun 2 for a while and have been using pfm to edit some files but i never thought about the voices would be in unit text, i thought that it was coded in somewhere advanced modders only knows

On turn 12, playing as Portugal, i get a crash when I hit end turn. This occurred on two separate campaigns, where i have conquered Hizen, and Northern Hizen. This crash does not happen if i do not leave the starting island settlement. I think it may have to do with a random clan adopting Christianity on turn 13.

Could you take a look at the ikko units as I think they are a bit broken (I tried to fight them but they destroyed my "improved" yari, I understand that in 1v1 katana is better but when climing a wall it easily shredded 2 yari)

@Snedeck Modding these games is so fun, I never in 1 million years would have figured out that the voices are controlled by the "unit description text" field in units_tables.

What do u think about Tenka Fubu 1567 Map instead of the traditional Expanded Japan? It's not like MoSS, basically an edited Expanded but with way more regions. It just lacks islands, and i don't know how to edit a map to add them.

Dammit I just realized this will break everybody's saves, I was so excited to have Portuguese voices that I published it. .... Im going to roll back the update for now. I might have to make the voices a Submod. I hate to do that but I also dont want to figure out where to host a 1gb file for people to download to play through their saves....

-Portuguese Voices for Infantry! Cavalry and Artillery will be silent for now, but Portuguese infantry should now speak Portuguese most of the time! (There will be a few random American-accent english phrases from FOTS spoken for your entire army, it is unavoidable) Huge thanks to Snedeck!

@snedeck It is crashing because the Startpos.esf file that acts as the first "savegame" state for a new campaign, has the old unit names still, Port_Musketeers instead of Boshin_Port_Musketeers. I fixed it for my mod and now it works! Huge thanks to you for helping me figure this out!

But I really cant get the hang of why is it when starting new campaign, the game will crash after I edited the Musketeers, Pikemen and Swordsmen

Some units may have other tables (Like when you search Port_Swordsmen db/agent_uniforms_tables will pops up and for now i didnt edit that because I dont think thats relevant, but if u think its relevant feel free to experiment like im doing right now)

Also after changing the text to (Inf_Elite_Royal_Marines) the land units is great, feels very cool however for artys and cavalry they will be mute so for now I added (Boshin_Inf_Elite_Royal_Marines) to their text so they have some english voice atleast not muted

also after having permission from RavenBuster (thank you), you can also not add Boshin_ to the (Boshin_Inf_Elite_Royal_Marines) to (Inf_Elite_Royal_Marines) the results is much better, when you click them, no more english voices, only portuguese (yippee)

but the units still must have boshin_ (might not be needed but for now we need it)

@Snedeck can you list which tables you changed the names in? The tables, not the fields. I dont need to know "unit key" I need to know "unit_stats_land_tables" etc etc.

Like, did you change the value in the "cdir_unit_qualities" table or the "units_to_exclusive_faction" table?

but i didnt add boshin to equipments and models, only the sections i mentioned
