Just to go ahead and put this out there:

- Yes I do plan on updating this for 4.0 but New Dawn takes priority.
- No I don't know when it will be ready after the update comes out

Chances are its not Planet States causing the issue. Try disabling some of your UI mods if you're using them and see if that fixes the planet view problem.

Also the holdings thing is probably an oversight. I'll ask 24 about that and see if they remember if it was an intentional thing or not.

Literally over a hundred of them, but Planet Diversity is probably the only one likely to mess with the planets.

I can't post on your Discord without owning a mobile phone, so I guess I'll post my bug report here: Viewing a system containing a Planet State causes the whole screen to white out whenever the planet is in view.

Also, signing a Commercial Pact with them does not allow you to build Corporate holdings on their planets, which feels a bit like an oversight.

These Planet States will spawn at the start of the game in random systems and will have random names."

They should be spawning on all map sizes. You probably have another mod conflicting with it. If you check your game.log file, it should show you that they spawned.

I added the mod, and installed it according to the instructions. But at the same time, I don't see any planet-states in the game. Shouldn't they be like empires with one star system or something else?

Its because frontend.gui is changed with the mod. I plan on releasing the 3.9 compat update today and it should fix it.

Just a heads up:
I will be updating Planet States with minor things such as spawn logging and basic 3.9 compatibility. Don't expect an immediate release day update unless the amount code reworking is next to minimal.

There are some things I want to add but they will have to wait until after 3.9 comes out and I get this (as well as New Dawn) up to date.

I have been working on it some this week, just some background bug fixing and such. Nothing too major or important yet.

Would be neat if this could somehow function similar to Independant Colonies. With citizens sometimes founding their own planet states on other systems.

Unfortunately that didn't work either, the construction ship can still enter the system (even on passive), it just can't build anything.

Check the construction ship's stance and switch it to passive instead of evasive. That should fix it I believe

Heyo, great mod! Unfortunately, I've run into an issue with it. I had a planet-state, the fanatic pacifist one, in my empire. I put a bunch of fleets in their system, attacked their station, and blew it up. However, in the battle, they destroyed my starbase, unclaiming the system. That wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that my construction ships refuse to rebuild the starbase since there's "a hostile fleet in the system", despite the station being destroyed and no such fleet existing. Any help with that would be appreciated. Thanks!

The Great Khan dying into these seems to be pretty common. Anyway to make their starbase grow with strength over time rather than start with 300K bases? Just a thought.

I might be remembering what we did when Planet States were in LOTOR but you should be able to brute force them by ctrl + m2. It should give you a little prompt about attacking a neutral party or something but go ahead and say yes if it pops up.

so I think I found a bug, I started a war with an empire that had a planet state in their capital system and the exhaustion screen thinks the system isnt fully occupied but the galaxy map says it is, I think its to do with the fact I dont have the planet state and I cant just brute force through it because it wont let me attack the planet states outside my borders

A planet state spawned on a chokepoint in the Chosen's home cluster. They're stuck in four systems and it's hilarious.

The mod description is unclear on whether the egalitarian planet state is buying or selling CG. But in either case I am intrigued by the mod.
