일단 감사합니다!
결론부터 말씀드리면 BSB 에는 BSW 에 했던것처럼 대대적인 컨텐츠추가는 없을꺼에요.
이번 3.6 부터는 1. 함선클래스에 따른 역할구분이 더욱 명확해지고 2. 함급이나 무기에 따른 상성관계가 강화되었고 3. 무기슬롯 종류의 의미가 줄어들면서 (S/M 슬롯 폭발형무기, L 슬롯 근접무기 등) 결과적으로 BSW 스타일의 함선구획을 기초로 한 모딩은 의미가 없어졌어요.
아울러, 전자전이나 특수전도 그 코딩특성상 렉유발의 가능성이 상존하고 호불호도 갈렸던 시스템이라 당분간은 건드리지 않으려고 합니다.

아이고.. 덕분에 잘 쓰고 있었는데 아쉽네요.. BSB에서는 여기 있던 선호무기 자동설계 반영이나 특수전함, 구획 추가 같은 게 없어져서 더 그런 것 같기도 하구요. 개인적으로 너무 잘 써먹고 있던 기능들이라 그런데 혹시 다른 모드나 BSB 업데이트로 다시 추가할 계획은 없으신가요?

Please try my new mod for Stellaris 3.6 Orion, which is similar with BSW.
This mod also enhance the ship behaviors and AI ship designs, and much lighter and more compatibe. And as BSW was, will be updated and improved as the main game updates.

Is it ok if i take some of the mechanics from here that aren't added to vanilla and move them into their own mod, love all the stuff this adds and don't want to see it lost to time

I'll miss special forces corvettes, ECM ships and any other stuff pdx is not putting into the patch.

I do believe that they took a lot of inspiration from this mod though. You made a difference.

:( Would you ever considering creating something akin to bsw lite, to make some smaller tweaks.
stuff like the starbase regen, repeatable changes and ecm ships are things that vanilla still havn't added/change that i thinks theres modding space for.

Either way, been my top mod for the last few years so thank you for your hard work

BSW 3 will no longer be updated from now, and will not support Stellaris 3.6 'Orion', which will be released on November 29th.
In 3.6 Orion, many changes and improvements have been made to space warfare and ship design.
Some are similar to what BSW was aiming for, and some are not of my taste, but it is clear that the Custodian team share a number of critical issues that motivated the production of this mod as a whole. .
Now, in a completely cataclysmic universe, the 'problem' of tactical space combat that BSW was trying to fix will change to a completely different form, and there will be no reason or ability to maintain the mod anymore.
I hope that the vanilla version of Stellaris will be a more fun game, so please unsubscribe the mod now.

having a looks at their steam profile, they've averaged 15h total on steam all on other games so probably not coming back to stellaris for a bit, especially for the amount needed to to rework the mod

I have gotten most of the way through rewrites but the mod is about to be borked in so many other way with 3.6 its hardly worth the effort of finishing when the rest of the mod isn't being updated

@lyra_tcm have you made progress on your adjustments? I took a look at the code, and as written, it looks like the events I spot-checked such as ECM need to run constantly because they are not triggered otherwise. These are definitely performance-intensive, querying every owned ship in every empire every day against the trigger criteria. Hoping you've had some success with an alternate method that still accomplishes the behavior intended by the mod.

Pdx has now made hardened parts for shields and armor, but they have not solved the problem that shields and armor are too expensive, and AI does not necessarily use hardened parts. I think we can give different levels of shields and armor a little hardening, which can improve their cost performance and make different levels of shields (armor) more different.

@Tiuopy: I can't speak with authority but I've noticed that, yes. Both with this mod, and with Vanilla stellaris. However it could be deceptive, because in at least this mod, the enemy will use one ship NAME per ship size (i.e. all their Covettes will be called 'XYX-class Corvettes' for instance), but they will use the same class name for all the different designs. I have no idea HOW that is the case, but I don't like it.

The AI seems to favor building one class per ship size, is this true and if so why? it just seem like a really had idea.

Also, I see the AI likes to keep an even amount of flak and guardian PD weapons, with choosing to have an a majority of flak in the case of an odd number.

I would understand this when the game is at a point where the enemy could have fighters and/or missiles, but I still see this even in the very beginning. It'll be a some time before anyone gets hangars and there are a bunch of flak corvettes. Shouldn't they have guardian systems first to deal with station missiles or am I confused on which PD is for missiles and fighters?

Minor bug report: the "Carrier Operations" research is visually glitched out, and after some investigation I believe this mod to be at fault. It's a level 1 research so it shouldn't be too hard to verify.

Hi. When using this mod, approximately three days into the game, a pop-up appears. This is the 'BSW Auto-ship design setting'. This lets you configure the default weapon preferences and ship design preferences for the whole game. I wonder, is it possible to reconfigure the default options for this so that I don't have to change it each game? I tend to use the same settings but the settings I use are not the default ones. This means I have to click through to get the settings to be what I want each time. Can this be over-ridden in the mod files on a per-user basis so that I don't have to keep clicking through; and if so, please can you tell me how? Thank you!

The paradox finally needs to make some changes to weapons and combat computers. It seems that they want to increase the difference between the two p slots. Maybe there will be some useful new codes at that time.

by disabling most of the mods events (and reworking the combat computer ones) i've seen a 3x improvement in 1 year times + no stuttering every day
going to be reworking all the event to not check every day as well

This mod currently creates huge extra amounts of lag with some of its events as they don't have a is_triggered_only leading them to be attempted to be triggered every day which for ship events like the ecm stuff ends up with a huge amount of lag although that not the only event file doing this (i have a save with this and giga that is unplayable when those events are running that i can send).

Hey there!

Will the mode be supporting Progenitor hive (Offspring ships) in the future or do you maybe plan on adding them? Playing, a hive in my last game and the mod causes som serious penalties on my fleets without them being compatible with BSW :)

So just wanted to know if there is a chance for it in the update :)

Great mod, would you make it accessible via Dynamic Mod Menu and remove edicts buttom?
