This mod causes the new traditions to be missing tooltips. Any fix?
The Dank Lord [GER] 17 Apr, 2022 @ 6:35am
was an awesome mod but too bad I can't use it anymore. For some reason this mod creates a bug where the Uplink Node from machine empires don't produce any Unity anymore...
MrFunEGUY 5 Apr, 2022 @ 8:41pm
Thanks for originally making this!
OnlyKarlos  [author] 19 Mar, 2022 @ 2:10pm
@ClockworkC0rvus officially and fully abandoned, I don't intend to update it to any future versions.

@Mute you can keep it up and update it to future versions if you want, no need to call it an unofficial update.

Did an unofficial update to 3.3.* to get rid of the admin cap - unity issues among other things.
@Only Karlos will take this down again if you want
ComradeCorvus 19 Mar, 2022 @ 6:38am
Just wanting to clarify. At the top of the description, it says that the mod is abandoned, but in your last comment you said you will update it when you get some free time to do so, so is it just on hiatus or fully abandoned. I just want clarification, so I can post it in the abandoned mods channel on the Stellaris modding den discord if you don't plan on revisiting it.
JC12231 1 Mar, 2022 @ 12:18pm
fair enough, i just wasn't sure why it modified those jobs, i wasn't expecting the mod to be broken in that way, but i guess some ascension perks modify bureaucrats?

i was expecting some things to be broken since its not updated for 3.3, that one just caught me off guard
OnlyKarlos  [author] 1 Mar, 2022 @ 6:44am
@JC12231 the description says 3.2 "Herbert" Update so it's not updated to 3.3 and the new changes yet. I'll update it when I get some free time to do so.
JC12231 26 Feb, 2022 @ 1:48pm
Not entirely sure why, but this mod edits some of the specialist pop jobs, which includes bureaucrat, which now produces Unity instead of Admin Cap, so using this mod currently makes bureaucrats still produce admin cap, which is useless now, instead of unity.

So until the dev fixes that, don't use the mod, or just patch it out manually.

Maybe buffing transcendent learning would be sweet?
Helobu 19 Jan, 2022 @ 9:37am
According to my observation, clear blocker time the variable no longer works.
General Justinian 17 Jan, 2022 @ 9:03pm
@Only Karlos Ah, I didn't realize they changed the Vanilla perks. I've been using mods for too long. Thanks for your response!
OnlyKarlos  [author] 17 Jan, 2022 @ 4:37pm
@General Justinian I can't make a compatibility patch with ESAP because they already changed every AP this mod changed, and in specific ways inteded to work with the new ones they added.
You can't have two version of Imperial Prerogative, for example. You can either have mine or theirs, not both. So the mods are essentially incompatible because you can't have both changes.
General Justinian 17 Jan, 2022 @ 1:02am
Hello, I really enjoy this mod a lot and I appreciate your work. Is it possible to make a compatibility patch with the "Expanded Stellaris Ascension Perks"? I'm not really sure why, but id both are enabled, your mod just doesn't work. ESAP uses a completely different file and yours uses the default. I'll never understand how Paradox games loads mods. Here's the link if you're willing to look into it, if not, totally fine. Keep up the great work!

OnlyKarlos  [author] 5 Jan, 2022 @ 3:00pm
@lordfil Should be, since it only changes the effects of the base-game Ascension Perks, but don't count on it if you're using other mods that change Ascension Perks or Traditions.
Lordfil 5 Jan, 2022 @ 4:46am
is this savegame compatible?
Phoenixel 20 Dec, 2021 @ 7:54pm
seems to break voidvorn
凶猛的小可爱 5 Dec, 2021 @ 1:03pm
nice mod
OnlyKarlos  [author] 3 Dec, 2021 @ 11:23am
@DesertDragon79 I see no reason to improve Hydrocentric further than it already is.
Its purpose is to facilitate terraforming planets to Aquatic Worlds and, being only available for species with the Aquatic (trait that gives major bonuses to Aquatic Worlds) it's already very worthwhile to choose it.
OnlyKarlos  [author] 3 Dec, 2021 @ 11:20am
Update 1.5.2 released just now. It fixes the Hydrocentric AP not showing up.
DesertDragon79 2 Dec, 2021 @ 10:31pm
Perhaps you can make the hydrocentric perk more worthy while you are at it?
DesertDragon79 2 Dec, 2021 @ 10:20pm
Hi, this mod removes the "hydrocentric" ascension perk from the list of available options in the game.
dragonmaster977 30 Nov, 2021 @ 12:25pm
I had problems with pop unemployment, too, but after an update, unsubbing and resubbing fixed the issue. However, when I am using this mod Hydrocentric perk disappears from the list. When I disabled this mod it reappeared. Can someone verify if you have the same issue?
Ulterior The Panzie 29 Nov, 2021 @ 5:00pm
Alright so, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game again, unsubbed and resubbed to this mod after deleting its mod file, and I placed it right at the end of the mod list (but still above the rules merger mod) and so far so good. No idea what was goofing it but that seemed to fix the issues I was having. Will update further if I find anything more.
Ulterior The Panzie 29 Nov, 2021 @ 4:42pm
Yeah I'm not sure what it is that's causing your otherwise perfectly fine mod to wig out with some of us. Perhaps it's a regional update thing? Or perhaps the steam workshop is messing something up as that has been known to happen with other games and other mods for this one so who knows! I'm going to continue messing around with it so if I find anything I'll be sure to pop by and let ya know here in the comments.

Thank you again for putting out this mod and for all the work you have done on making the game experience feel better as a whole. It's a largely thankless job I know, but don't forget there are a lot of people out there who truly appreciate what you and others do to make this game great!
OnlyKarlos  [author] 29 Nov, 2021 @ 2:58pm
Ideally I wouldn't even touch the starbase modules and pop job files, since I know those can often be replaced by other mods (and because the Ascension Perks mod should only mess with Ascension Perks), but I don't know how to make Imperial Prerogative and Galactic Force Projection have the same effect without modifying those files. Maybe there is an obscure code I can use, but as a programmer I just copy and edit sections of code I understand, so the ones I don't are just gibberish to me.

If any modder out there has any idea on how that could be possible, like a custom trigger or something, let me know and I'll update the mod to be more compatible with others :)
OnlyKarlos  [author] 29 Nov, 2021 @ 2:58pm
@Ulterior The Panzie
Unfortunately I have not been able to recreate this issue in my games, as you can see from the screenshots here: https://imgur.com/a/G6tUKbb
I let the game run for two years and checked all AI planets and none have the described behaviour anymore.

What I could see being an issue is mods that mess with the base game jobs, because this mod does to add +2 Admin Cap to Bureucrats Jobs and +2 Naval Cap to Soldier, Duelist and Warrior Drone Jobs.
Changing the base game starbase modules would also remove the +2 Naval Cap to Anchorages.
King Crimson 29 Nov, 2021 @ 11:33am
I have had the same issues as many others on these comments as I have really enjoyed using this mod on my playthroughs, I tried the suggestion in the description of placing the mod at the bottom of the list and this has interestingly solved the pops issue for me so far, it may not work for everyone but I thought it was worth mentioning for those wanting to use it whilst this is hopefully resolved.
Ulterior The Panzie 28 Nov, 2021 @ 9:38pm
Ah, also, completely forgot to mention: I really love this mod so if you would like me to send you my mod list to see what it's compatible with (on the surface level at least) I'd be more than happy to toss it your way!
Ulterior The Panzie 28 Nov, 2021 @ 9:36pm
Okay. I have finished troubleshooting my entire mod list and unfortunately it seems to be only this mod. Even completely alone with no other mods, this one is borking the pop employment somehow. Tried verifying game cache and even a complete uninstall and reinstall after nuking all the files and redownloading it from scratch and for whatever reason this mod is just not playing nice with Stellaris.

(I know my previous message was sent like a couple minutes ago but I'm an idiot who forgot to click "post comment" so it was sitting there for around 30ish minutes while I was continuing on troubleshooting)
Ulterior The Panzie 28 Nov, 2021 @ 9:32pm
Having the same issue, been troubleshooting for the last couple hours. So far I've tested its functionality with nearly 50 mods and I'm getting the inkling it'll be this mod and Dynamic UI Overhaul that are conflicting. Will get back shortly on that.
Dream O Cinzento 28 Nov, 2021 @ 8:48pm
Having the same problem here, Its probably a problem with a combination of mods, Im willing to send you any files you require to help you iron this bug out.
OnlyKarlos  [author] 28 Nov, 2021 @ 6:04pm
@凶猛的小可爱
I have just double checked, and it's not my mod causing it. Just launched the game with only this mod enabled and all pops are working normally.
凶猛的小可爱 28 Nov, 2021 @ 5:10pm
still causes pops to not fill specifically Artisan, Metallurgist, or Worker jobs. after Update
OnlyKarlos  [author] 28 Nov, 2021 @ 2:42pm
@SargR I have not. It is already a very powerful Ascension Perk and I couldn't come up with any changes that wouldn't make it way too powerful.
SargR 28 Nov, 2021 @ 2:39pm
Fantastic! also also, did you make any changes to the new aquatics dlc ascension perk?
OnlyKarlos  [author] 28 Nov, 2021 @ 1:46pm
@SargR Yes, it does work with existing saves.
I think the only exception would be Mastery of Nature, if you already have it you won't get the Blocker Technologies.
SargR 28 Nov, 2021 @ 1:41pm
does this work with existing saves? like if i put this mod in will it update the ascension perks?
soulpelt 28 Nov, 2021 @ 12:20pm
huzzah!
OnlyKarlos  [author] 28 Nov, 2021 @ 12:00pm
Update 1.5 is out and the mod is compatible with the 3.2 "Herbert" Update.
soulpelt 28 Nov, 2021 @ 11:08am
Moviematrix's fix works perfectly and its east to do until the maker fixes it themselves.
kamiyosha 28 Nov, 2021 @ 2:07am
decided to not unsub from this mod, but it needs a patch bad. currently causes a lot of jobs to not be taken, due to a code conflict. looking forward to a fix.
BasicGeoduck841 26 Nov, 2021 @ 8:28pm
OMG I WENT THROUGH 100 MODS AND IT WAS THE ASCENSION PERK MOD THAT STOPS POPS FROM JOBS!?! AAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Lord_Malacrat 26 Nov, 2021 @ 7:10pm
Took me so long to figure out this mod stops pops from taking jobs
【E•L•E•M•E•N•T】 26 Nov, 2021 @ 5:54pm
@renvira same, I never would've expected this of all mods.
Chissana 26 Nov, 2021 @ 5:14pm
Also confirming that this mod causes pops to not fill specifically Artisan, Metallurgist, or Worker jobs.
Renvira 26 Nov, 2021 @ 1:26am
Took me several days to manually figure out that this mod was the problem, but yes, pops in 3.2 do not fill jobs at all no matter the Authority, which confirms @Crimson and @arnolddr
Moviematrix101 22 Nov, 2021 @ 5:02pm
Pop job code has been changed in 3.2, instead favoring possible_precalc instead of a possible check.

In order to quickly update Gestalt job behavior:
Recopy vanilla 04_gestalt_jobs.txt and place the custom triggered_country_modifier for the mod in warrior drone
Recopy vanilla 03_worker_jobts.txt and place the custom triggered_country_modifier for the mod in soldier
Recopy vanilla 02_specialist_jobts.txt and place the custom triggered_country_modifier for the mod in duelist

And it should all be good to go.

I hope this speeds up update progress!
arnolddr 22 Nov, 2021 @ 4:26pm
I can confirm with @Crimson that the mod currently conflicts with 3.2 Herbert, where pops do not fill any jobs.
Crimson 22 Nov, 2021 @ 2:28pm
Little heads up, the mod currently conflicts with 3.2 Herbert and makes it to where pops dont fill jobs at all, if an update or fix could be put out sometime soon that would be much appreciated!
