Excellent reimagination, really enjoyable. I was a bit bummed that some scripted events weren't included, but I can imagine how difficult it would have to be to make those from scratch. Just a bit of a shame that some sounds seem to be missing and the screen isn't shaking when Gargantua is walking around, but those are just details.

Can't get this to play, even via console. It mentions a couple of prop physics error and something about a missing material related to the Gargantua.

I'll utterly think about it's worthiness, since yet there are only changed corpses ragdolls (in vanilla they're used one face and they're all was without extra gear), and my farther plan is adding here seamless Lambda Core transition, like in Half-Payne.

I mean I can't stop you but unless you're making massive enough changes that it's a significantly different campaign/experience, I'd prefer you just make your own content rather than piggyback. I don't think the Workshop needs another "This person released this other person's work but slightly different" entry, there's plenty of that. I made Further Data, it works, there are no game-breaking bugs, I don't really see how anyone would benefit from you rereleasing it and muddying the authorship waters.

This mod relies on no other content. Unsub then resub. Worst case scenario you may have to manually extract the mod VPK, but all necessary content is included.

if regular uplink weren't in the original half life (which I believe is a bit mid) then I'd have played it already

Nice rework of the original Uplink demo. I liked the enhancements (especially the small downstairs office corner after getting out from the first elevetor) and some small story changes differing from the original.

Still I think this would shine even brighter with more polish. Some very remarkable scenes where missing (like the vent falling down from the Gargantua walking by or the zombies pushing the big computers down to block your path. Also there needs to be more work put into the ambient sounds (if you come out of the radiated sewers back to the container area there's no ambient sound at all and you can only hear the slaves talk, or if you go up in the very first elevator there's some kind of mall ambient sound which I really don't understand).

Best I've got is check your other mods. Some other mods (like More Monitors) can cause FD to crash.

I keep consistently crashing on fd02 after the security guard says "I can't bring myself to put him down". it happens every single time i try to play, and is completely preventing me from doing so. any ideas on what the cause is and how to fix it?? D:

a slap in the face and a disgrace to the original "uplink", to start things off, the player is met with an annoying jump puzzle, it skips a whole lot of places from the original - instead the map is littered with boring sloppy placement of shipping containers and trucks, the combat is un-engaging, annoying elevator hatch puzzle, and the finale - the satellite is locked due to some puzzle or whatnot, at this point i hit the uninstall button. this has nothing in common with the awesome "uplink" aside from the starting room

Ran into a problem where level transitions wouldn't work. Wasn't that big of a deal from fd01 to 02 and 02 to 03, but then after 03 the map isn't called fd04 - or maybe the subscription didn't download it all fully, so I had nothing to load next and got a little blue balled

Wery cool map with good visuals and music , it's very good conveys atmosphere of Half-Life but diffinetly not Half-Life : Uplink . It's to big , boring , tangled , less interactive that supposed to be and dont have secrets and action moments . I feel a bit dissapointed after played it

This is a very well made mod, I can't speak on how good it reflects on the original Uplink.
For a solo mod this is very well done, The soundscapes, music and generally overall feel is great.

As you already allude to, regarding predating Xen/engine update, some portions of the maps of a distinct Source mod vibe.
What I mean by this is that certain corridors are a bit sparse on details or have the details placed in a not very "integrated" way.
Hard to describe but Black Mesa (as of today) somehow manages to largely avoid this.

Obviously, I don't think it's fair to critique this mod displacements portions of the maps.
Not everyone has the involved pipeline like the Crowbar collective has.

This mod at large, for the price of free, is a great experience,
not to mention the historical retrospective of the HL demo is invaluable like Black Mesa itself or Hazard Course mod.

Splendid work, thank you for letting us experience Half-Life Uplink again or for the first time.
