no, i dont plan on making a version that has no organics, it makes sense to have organics for a consumable item

trees are complicated, its beyond my ability to make anything come from trees, but voxels can be restored with the trash cleanup settings

So to get organics I need to mine grassy areas? Wouldn't it be better to make it come from trees to avoid bloating save files from terrain deformation?

yeah it does sound like another version of this is needed, i forgot that many people can just go overkill with the assemblers n solar/wind power n just make a ton of those zone chips, i will upload one without them shortly :)

I think what they are concerned with is the same thing I am concerned with.

I love the idea of this mod EXCEPT I don't want all players able to produce zone chips. Those are special, as they grant immunity from damage for an entire hour. Sure, it takes an hour to make one, but I can also just have a dozen assemblers all working on them at once to mitigate that problem.

May I take this mod, remove zone chips, and reupload it to the workshop? I would credit you for the original mod, of course.

i dont get what you are after, an admin can just spawn in anything, if you want a mod that lets admin produce things and normal players not able to, then thats unfair, no one will make that mod. If it is for admin purposes, just spawn it in using the admin's creative tools

I am glad that "Organics" can use also yours and from mod "Daily Need Survival Kit".
In URL really a mistake (therefore removed the message) though as I remember, it conducted on the correct page. I removed the message that someone by mistake did not get where it is not necessary.
If to whom it is interesting - mod DN will be one of the first if to enter in search of mods of "Daily Need".

i can have a think on the re-balance for one, but it will just be too easy to make them, and a consumable item really should require something like Organics, partly as they are disposable, unless you want to heal yourself with something made of high amounts of metals :P

well the point was, having medkits and powerkits craftable from originally not being craftable, have to have something kinda big added to the process. if i make Organics craftable from ice and stone, people just simply dont need to mine for Organics... the medkit needs gravel and ice in the process anyway...

yeah thats beyond the scope of this simple mod, requires Organics to start with, requires another block, more models, an item for an in between stage etc
Organics was originally to come from grass, is why the organics item and icon already exists in vanilla, they just have no use for it and so didnt allow it to be gained in any way.

How about a recipe/machine that use stone+ice to "grow" organics? Maybe needing to be in the sun or consuming power and emitting light (like a beacon) to represent the "cultivation"?

some of the grass types spawn Organics when you mine it, i will make it clearer at the top :)

skins do not affect gameplay, they are purely aesthetic :)

money is easy to come by even at low level you can get millions of SC easy by doing contracts

i say they should have been craftable in vanilla, anyway its not a cheat, when these items can cost even more to buy, or just require effort to get them yourself :P

the only thing it might override is the amount of organics that comes from the grasses that i altered, Grass, Grass_02, Woods_Grass, Rocks_Grass for earthlike, and AlienGreenGrass, AlienRocksGrass for Alien planet, i will remove the Grass_02 to make it more compatible :)
