NOT Ironman compatible.
Khepri 6 Eki 2023 @ 14:06
Strangely, the issue only started AFTER I added your mod, and I have the mod low in the load order. It may interact with another mod, but I'm unsure what. It might be interacting with Merger of Rules, as that is the only mod that I can think of that is below this mod that could be causing problems. All other mods below this mod are patches and things like Merger of Rules and Universal Resource Patch.
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 6 Eki 2023 @ 13:03
@Khepri The names seem fine on my end, try disabling your mods one by one and see what happens?
Khepri 6 Eki 2023 @ 5:53
Hello There, that bug that was described by Silverheart97, the one with the nameless random empires? it appears to be back, at least in my case. I have the mod very low in my load order, close to the bottom just before my patches, and all the random empires of my last game were generated without names. I played that game yesterday by the way, so the mod might need to be updated to 3.9.2.
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 25 Eyl 2023 @ 15:16
@♫ Tadpole ♫ Am currently updating it to 3.9, hopefully will be done in a couple days.
♫ Tadpole ♫ 24 Eyl 2023 @ 21:33
Is this expected to have any issues with 3.9?
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 12 Nis 2023 @ 14:04
@Lavie Fixed now, thank you!
Lavie 11 Nis 2023 @ 19:52
In Fear of the Dark human Origin, this mod will cause the new human commune on the Haven to have wrong country name
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 14 Ara 2022 @ 20:34
@Silverheart97 @Peter34 This is now fixed, and the mod has been updated to 3.6.
Peter34 14 Ara 2022 @ 9:55
I noticed that bug too, and wondered if it was caused by this mod...
Silverheart97 11 Ara 2022 @ 7:01
Just as a heads up, this mod is currently causing all randomly-generated empires to generate without names. Not the end of the world, as I can just disable it for the start of the game, then exit & re-enable for the rest of the game.
WP 🥔 27 Kas 2022 @ 11:35
Yeah no problem! And it is huge. I dug in the files for this mod a few weeks back and was -amazed- how dense it is. Very impressive!
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 27 Kas 2022 @ 11:20
@Lys 🥔 Yep, I meant to update it to 3.5 but real life kinda got in the way. >_< I'll try to update this as soon as I can, but it's a big mod so it'll likely be a week or two after 3.6 releases. Sorry for the inconvenience!
WP 🥔 27 Kas 2022 @ 5:34
Skipping 3.5 in favour of 3.6?
Astra 20 Eyl 2022 @ 18:21
That was on 3.4.5, actually. Haven't gotten to test out 3.5 itself just yet. Sounds cool, though!
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 20 Eyl 2022 @ 17:51
@[SAMOSEK] I'll look into this, thanks for reporting! Do note that this hasn't been updated to 3.5 yet so there are likely some incompatibilities. The update should come in the next week or two.
Astra 20 Eyl 2022 @ 17:45
Some empires seem to be missing adjectives. Not sure what's causing that, can't exactly test it 'cause my modlist crashes the game when I try to boot with it now due to half of it being updated to 3.5 and half of it not. Is there a way to default to species name if the adjective is missing, or force the game to generate an adjective automatically like the button does for the player?
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 18 Eyl 2022 @ 23:20
@T145 It should be compatible with the current version of the game. Will have to update it to 3.5 in the coming days or weeks though.
T145 18 Eyl 2022 @ 22:35
@mzilli Is this now compatible with 3.4.4+?
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 27 Haz 2022 @ 15:48
@Gatzek Thanks for reporting this! I've deleted the line in question so there should be no conflict. It was a tiny change ("planet" instead of "Planet") so no one will likely miss it. :)
Gatzek 27 Haz 2022 @ 6:53
@mzilli great and needed job, thanks!

I only have one comment. Your files may overwrite changes made by other mods. I noticed this when using Mastery of Nature. This mod in /replace/MasterNature_Replace_l_english.yml changes the text in describe_decision_mastery_of_nature. Your mod overwrites these changes (file replace/replace_traditions_l_english.yml).

Could you think about renaming the files so that they load before everyone else?
Omicron 3 Haz 2022 @ 7:51
I came to report a bug, but it looks like you are aware. Thank you for your work! :)
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 30 May 2022 @ 14:24
In case anyone's wondering, I do plan to update this to 3.4, but since that update broke a lot of localisation I'm waiting until the next bugfix patch (3.4.4) before getting started. So it'll likely be a while, sorry.
Defrost40kSMAH 17 May 2022 @ 19:16
roger roger
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 17 May 2022 @ 16:25
@Defrost40kSMAH This mod only changes English localisation, so it likely won't do anything in that case.
Defrost40kSMAH 16 May 2022 @ 23:03
so, will this mod fix typos localisation "description_dialogue_here_01a" if you play anything but english settings? Or it just fixes it for english settings?
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 5 Mar 2022 @ 21:04
@WP Not a lot, just went through the updated localisation text in 3.3 and made corrections as needed.
WP 🥔 5 Mar 2022 @ 19:22
Yay update! What changed?
Okabe Rintaro 28 Şub 2022 @ 0:25
understandable, have a nice dealing with PDX monkeycode
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 27 Şub 2022 @ 14:09
@ksChris Update is coming, likely in the next week or so. Been a bit busy irl.
Okabe Rintaro 27 Şub 2022 @ 5:39
update?
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 14 Eki 2021 @ 15:24
@SBlack No, it's still included in the 01_planetary_deposits file.
SBlack 14 Eki 2021 @ 15:06
Wasn't that thing where different planet types have different resources removed a while ago?
Timrath 14 Eki 2021 @ 15:06
Thank you once again!
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 14 Eki 2021 @ 13:52
Updated to 3.1. Sorry for the long wait!
Råb!d 28 Haz 2021 @ 19:52
You are a man and/or woman after my own heart. Nice job!
Timrath 24 Nis 2021 @ 14:34
Thanks for the update!
Timrath 19 Nis 2021 @ 10:18
Thank you!
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 19 Nis 2021 @ 10:17
@Timrath Not yet, but hopefully in the next week or so.
Timrath 19 Nis 2021 @ 9:22
Is this compatible with 3.0?
Armok 20 Şub 2021 @ 21:33
huh, guess It's back to hunting down whatever mod touches the vanilla namelists then, this was the most obvious candidate out of all of the mods...
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 20 Şub 2021 @ 21:25
@Armok Nope, namelists are untouched.
Armok 19 Şub 2021 @ 22:06
does this mod overwrite namelists perchance?
anaphysik 17 May 2020 @ 17:24
I actually did like most of the Fallen/Awakened Empire name additions, I just thought that they should be *additions*, *not replacements*. AFAIK, parts is flexible like that, isn't it? It's not like there's a strict limit on the number of entries, right?

(Expansion of them would in general be extra good since there's so few and they show up almost every game. E.g. "Orthodoxy" for awakened spiritualists.)

And if you did want to add some "subtle" FP names, some references may be the way to go, e.g. the "Path of Now and Forever" (from Star Control).
anaphysik 17 May 2020 @ 11:53
"trying to present themselves as a legitimate government, even to their own citizens"

On the contrary, it actually makes sense - note that the Fanatic Purifiers derive legitimacy from the very fact that they are providing their citizens a means of mass murdering all other lifeforms. FP is not *actually* like real-world genocidal governments, because FPs have ZERO use for external diplomacy - they deal only in internal affairs, and that overriding affair is murder-of-not-them. They really are more like omnicidal/edgelord cults :P.

(Alternatively, it could make sense because, in the absence of real diplomatic contact, the OTHER empires would create the commonly-used names for the empire, and they would obviously not use 'diplomatic' ones.)
mzilli  [yaratıcı] 17 May 2020 @ 10:23
@anaphysik I removed the Purifier list because it's very difficult to swallow the idea of a group earnestly calling themselves "Death Bringers" or "Slaughterers" while simultaneously trying to present themselves as a legitimate government, even to their own citizens. With this mod, Purifiers now have a "proper" government name while still being just as xenocidal as before. As for the rest, I can't actually remember why I did most of them, lol. Will fix them after work, along with the typo you mentioned. Thank you for the feedback!
anaphysik 16 May 2020 @ 23:37
Typo in mzilli_localisation_l_english.yml: for both FEUDAL_REALM_TO_NON_01_NEUTRAL_GREETING & FEUDAL_REALM_TO_NON_02_NEUTRAL_GREETING, "semi-independant" instead of "semi-independent"
anaphysik 16 May 2020 @ 22:30
[continued from previous comment]

7) similarly, on the awakened xenophilic FE list, "Peacekeepers" was changed to "Hedony" -- this one I have a bigger problem with than the others (which would generally be good additions, just not replacements) since "Hedony" isn't a standard English word (it's probably a reference to a Star Trek episode) AND since its implied meaning (government built around the value of hedonism) doesn't fit anyway for a generic xenophilic FE. However, there are overtly hedonistic fallen empires (which can be xenophilic, xenophobic, or materialist) for which the term would be appropriate, if it's possible to check for that.
8) similarly, on the awakened spiritualist FE list, "Fanatics" is replaced by "Axiom" -- which doesn't even fit
9) awakened machine FE list is missing "Custodian_Process" entry
anaphysik 16 May 2020 @ 22:30
The edited 00_empire_names.txt has a bunch of mistakes/omissions/undocumented-changes in it:

1) missing the ENTIRE purifiers name list
2) missing the "Company" entry from the megacorp list
3) missing the "Horde", "Devourers", and "Raveners" entries from the devouring swarm list
4) on the xenophobic fallen empire list, "Remnant" and "Vestige" entries are replaced by "Crucible" and "Supremacy" (couldn't these just be added to the list, rather than replacing existing entries?)
5) similarly, on the materialist FE list, "Chroniclers" was changed to "Preservers"
6) similarly, on the awakened xenophobic FE list, "Reclaimers" and "Reconquerors" were changed to "Imperium" and "Resurgency"

[continued in next comment]

@Syfe Not sure, sorry.
