can you make a mod that would add just the animals from genetic rim and all patches but they will spawn like normal animals or through events or not spawn at all but obtainable from traders and therefore this mod won't require alpha animals or genetic rim

Ture, i have several, they roam a large area and they are rather slow on the move.

The issue I have observed more often is that if you have a lot of Beetlefleet and only a couple places where they can get kibble, they'll be reserved almost constantly, and they will starve. They are weird because they eat meat but can't hunt for prey much due to their size

Does anyone else have issues with beetlefleets suffering from malnutrition?
I have lots of animals and got their needs covered, yet beetlefleets seem to refuse the provided food and prefer to fall unconscious.

OK I have some possible info to assist. When my caravan returned and offloaded the mechanoid corpses most were extracted but the Phalanxes were not so I assumed that it was just the AA mechanoids that were bugged and went over to the machining table to set them to be shredded but because I only wanted the corpses that were not working with the extraction to be shredded I went into the details only to realise that the machining table has 2 entry's for all of the mechanoids that are not added by VFE : Mechanoids 1 set has mod tags with the Show mod designators tags and 1 set of either corpses without the tags or for some vanilla mechanoids a VFE: Mechanoids tag and the mechanoids spawned by the total war VFE: Mechanoids faction seem to be in this no tag group and as such are different enough to not be compatable with the Genetic extraction table. The table has both versions of the vanilla mechanoids but just not the AA version without tags.

Not exactly sure where to post this bug but I am getting issues with the Genetic extraction table and AA specific mechanoids where despite having the option for them to be extracted its just saying 'Need material' even though there is an accessible Aura corpse sitting in storage. Will update once my caravan gets back with a set of mechanoid corpses a few of which are AA on whether its all AA mechanoids or just that specific Aura corpse.

i'm having a bug where i cant extract alpha dna form anything, the characters just get stuck in a constant loop of extracting, then running around the table, and attempting to extract again

What is the right mod order to make sure that the process to extract genes is completed? i have the same issue as biggus dickus below.

can you add a paragon (golden!) Ave .... you could make it fly (ignoring movement costs and moving faster than the others or taking the mechanaic like some other mods of acting like a food fuelled drop pod) .... or add some geneticly modifed Ave like a thrumbo Ave?

the animal gets put on the table the process is completed and then nothing happens. its only the alpha animals and ive tried it on a new world as well. the megafauna patch works just fine

And then, that's it. This mod doesn't add any code at all, it uses the vanilla bills system. All Alpha Animals' corpses should appear in the ingredients list of the bill in the Genetic Extraction Table.

If they don't, you have a catastrophic clusterfuck that will probably affect vanilla workbenches too.

For anyone getting the red settings error, this is a harmless error, caused by the game not updating the settings file after a change in the code. Can be easily fixed by going to:

C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config

And deleting Mod_GeneticRim_GeneticRim_Mod.xml
