One of my favourite mods!! Civilians actually stand a chance now and doing retaliation missions are less painful.

this moving slow away from danger seems a modconflict, try using load order by modving this mod out of the workshop so it loads last. You have to unsubscribe after and set the alternate mod manager a new modfile entry, so its shows this mod. best you use google for that. You have to refresh xcom inis after that aswell

Yes, I was testing my LWOTC modjam with this mod and it causes crashes everytime at the end of Faceless Spy missions. However, you can work around by saving the game before the last hit, since when you load the game after the crash it works normally.

Civilians walk VERY SLOWLY when moving away from danger. Is there a fix for this?

For the 15 mobility it's true they don't have guns or gear but they also don't have military physical fitness training

So far I've had no issues. Civilians run away from danger and ADVENT actually has to pursue them. Awesome.

There might be a bug with this mod and Yellow Alert 2.0
as in when a soldier runs up towards a civilian in say a Advent city during a covert mission (rescuing a vip from a advent vehicle) and has them run away it would loop back to the aliens turn for every turn.
is their a problem on your side?

Ah yes I love when advent swings a sword at a defenseless civilian and they calmly walk away. Advent can’t do anything about it! Great civilian empowerment mod. All jokes aside they don’t stand in the line of fire as much so thumbs up from me

@Methusselah I would agree, except I think that the Eldars would chip them to keep control, but seperate from the normal system. An especially observant soldier might notice that advent isnt going after that person as much as they could be. Otherwise, fantastic mod per usual MrShadow!:steamthumbsup:

Like the mod except for one big mistake: Advent/Aliens should not be shooting at hidden faceless. Why? Because they are all chipped and connected, as the story outlines.

Good mod. I love how civilians act realistically now making it easy- and hard for both sides. There should be the rare civilian that just freezes and huddles on the spot though, even if they might get shot.

maybe for basegame, but with AI-to-AI activation on in Yellow Alert I feel like you need this to have a chance of saving enough civilians before the ayys kill them all

Does this not make the civilians actually.. RUN? Sometimes when civilians get spooked, they take FOREVER to "run away". I was hoping this actually made them RUN and that process would go faster.

Removing the easy to hit thing from Civilians is so nice for those haven missions... Also, I'm not sure if it's this mod or the Militia overhaul mod I'm using that does this, but the Warlock seems less prone to sending psi zombie suicide bombers to blow up all the civilians now. That used to drive me nuts, he would kill 4-5 civilians per turn sometimes by himself.

Don't know why this wasn't in the base game. Especially with mods Retaliations can be unbearable because of the mix of EasyToHit civilians and the fact they just sit there and die.

Really sucks when you have a group of civilians and you have to wait for 2+ min for each one to slowly move a few squares EVERY TIME an alien or militia unit does anything. And they usually just move back and forth, possible to code it so they actually run away from a battle?

@MrShadowCX my civvies are also just walking casually away, often with a significant delay before anything happens. They can be seen yelling as they just stroll off. Any option to light a fire under their butts?

Firstly, an excellent and needed mod idea., but currently having issues with it. I'm not sure what this is conflicting with, but after some troubleshooting it seems this is causing crash on mission load. Looked through these comments and someone mentioned community highlander may have had conflicts previously? Mod launcher does not show any conflicts though with my current list. The only other thing I have that may alter civs would be perhaps Covert Infiltration? Not sure but not seeing anything else on my current mod list that seems to mention civs changes in particular. Anyone that has any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated.

any idea if this mod has the unintended side effect of making the aliens shoot at more civilians during their turn? the retaliation strikes where you have to save both groups of resistance fighters have become almost impossible, as even unencountered pods will have every member shoot at a civilian in one turn. I have seen upwards of 12 shots at civilians in one turn, with half of them hitting and killing, which means about 3 turns after engagement, the mission is failed. the standard retaliation missions seem fine, as you can individually save enough pretty early on in the mission.

no idea if this mod would have that kind of effect, but I have a very long mod list and just looking to narrow it down.

That other mod doesn't touch civilians as far as I can tell (militia are a separate unit), and the two mods share an author, so I don't see why they should conflict...

Hi, I've noticed you gave a gun to VIPs:

Is it just a cosmetic change, or should I be worried about "Subdue" targets shooting back? Sorry if it's already been asked, I haven't actually played with the mod yet.

+1 to make people actually run during the gunfights. Often civilians are just strolling around like everything is fine, what annoyingly slows down the turns. :S

You mean the Retaliation missions in the resistance havens? ADVENT aren't having any problems shooting everyone in my game :)
