Works in 4.0 Biogenesis.

See my previous comment for additional details to make the mod function correctly.

@Mextorfult ⩒: far as I can tell this still works, had it stopped ?
Mextorfult ⩒ 26 Feb @ 9:40am
Create a patch so that it works in 3.14 for which you want to try it, do not test it.

just so you all know, it still works for me
ashbery76 21 Oct, 2024 @ 6:16am
Odd how these are still a miles better than the new humans models added. The cybernetic new one ones are awful
BeeKing 7 Jul, 2024 @ 5:21am
Now I have Humans1 and Humans2 as extra hard coded species.... Any way to fix it? I did load it directly afterHuman variaty
Exodus 9 May, 2024 @ 8:18pm
Works in 3.12 Machine Age.

Load directly after Human Variety in load order in order for it to function.
Danny 29 May, 2023 @ 3:33am
Bald portraits are back for me. :(
Milsika 11 May, 2023 @ 7:37am
update?
AstroCat 26 Mar, 2023 @ 6:29pm
I am an issue with a elected leader, who now looks like the old leader! He lost his appearance.
And the old leader looks the same in where he is assigned, ruler of a sector. BUT in the Leaders list he looks like new leader!

They are both totally mixed up now... any way to fix this?! It sucks for my game.
Jesus is Lord. 3 Feb, 2023 @ 6:51pm
3.6 compatible?
Deadrick  [author] 26 Dec, 2022 @ 3:24am
@jamesmanson801: sounds lik a mod load order issue. Try moving this mod after any other race mods you have.

@Pengus: They are random
Pengus 25 Dec, 2022 @ 12:04pm
coming back to stellaris hoping to find some good human portraits after paradox inexplicably made the vanilla ones ugly as sin. These look good. My only question would be if these work like normal were the phenotype is random or if its works like the old human phenotype mod where you can hard set a grouping of them
jamesmanson801 22 Dec, 2022 @ 9:45am
I get standard portraits but they look better. I dont see 30 options.
Deadrick  [author] 6 Nov, 2022 @ 6:25am
@Na!l This mod only contains the faces.
Na!l 5 Nov, 2022 @ 3:07am
Somehow I can't see and use these new hairstyles and beards event if I don't use any other mods. Only standard ones. Do You know what's the issue?
Deadrick  [author] 5 Oct, 2022 @ 5:00am
@Valjamin "Remastered NEW Human Portraits" mod has the reversed position of the new and old human portraits so that should solve the issue.

@John Shepard N7117 The clothing mod used in the portraits is Human Variety
Valjamin 3 Oct, 2022 @ 12:53pm
I think I found the root behind the problem I'm having. The base game, likely due to the 3.5 update, appears to have swapped the position of the two different species of humans, and that swap carried over to the 3.4 beta version for some reason. The Stellaris base game put the newer variant of humans first in the humanoid species type in the species creation tab, while the original variant is in the second position. This mod, (And the base game before 3.5) has the positions in the species creation tab reversed. In the potential future 3.4 legacy version, could you restore the positions of the two human species to their 3.4 locations? That should fix the problem.
John Shepherd N7117 3 Oct, 2022 @ 8:10am
Good day. I thought your mod added the clothing in the pictures you show. Yours is for faces only? If so what mod shows the clothes on the pics you have ?
Valjamin 2 Oct, 2022 @ 5:25pm
Could you elaborate more on that final statement? I don't have any mods that specifically change the hairstyles or appearance of any species except for this one. However, you could possibly check Synthetic Evolution Portraits unchanged, if that helps.
Deadrick  [author] 2 Oct, 2022 @ 12:54am
@Valjamin Strange, my "old" hairstyle mod works just fine without any changes. Maybe there is something strange with the hairmods? What are they called and I will have a look.
Valjamin 1 Oct, 2022 @ 5:39pm
Unfortunately, I'm still continuing a save from before the update, and all of the sudden, the hairstyles of both species of humans have all disappeared now. Could you add a patch to fix the issue, or a 3.4 legacy version of the mod please?
Seanr88 30 Sep, 2022 @ 6:39pm
So happy you were able to update the mod. This is one of the must have mods and I can't play Stellaris without it.

Remastered Human Portraits - Balding Hotfix - By Exodus

Agreed hopefully they will see this.
tilarium 27 Sep, 2022 @ 9:08am
That one that is I the comments that people don’t bother reading before assuming they are the only ones to ever discover a problem.

Exodus Sep 22 @ 12:46am
I found the game to be unplayable without this mod, so I created a hotfix for the current game version (3.5 Fornax).

The fix can be found here: https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2866088505
Danny 27 Sep, 2022 @ 8:13am

Lordlony 25 Sep, 2022 @ 5:35am

My guess, without actually looking at the files and the changes and such, is that it’ll be a backend thing that will allow for more customization down the road.
Lordlony 21 Sep, 2022 @ 9:51am
No idea, i only noticed the renaming in the files.
SalmonFeet 21 Sep, 2022 @ 7:18am
@Lordlony do you know why they changed the hairstyles to attachments? Did they add new "attachments" to different species? Because otherwise its kind of pointless
Lordlony 21 Sep, 2022 @ 1:13am
I had to make some changes in the interface folder for other mods, I noticed they have change mention of hair_styles to attachments for some reason. I'm assuming it has something to do with this renaming that's causing the bug.
Exodus 20 Sep, 2022 @ 11:57pm
I wonder what was changed that would cause this mod to break with 3.5/Toxoids. Interesting. Will wait for a fix.
Snyder 20 Sep, 2022 @ 9:11pm
Bald.
SalmonFeet 20 Sep, 2022 @ 5:50pm
