Anyone know of mods that are incompatible with this? got an issue with a large mod list where the initial transport ship hull is unavailable on start-up, pretty certain it's an incompatibility as loading just this mod works fine.

@The Nega Druid Yes. The game auto-assigns the computer with the highest weight. It is quite annoying but not too hard to combat since you only generally have to do it once or twice.

My only issue with this is game strips the computers I want to use even though mine are better. I wonder if its the auto-upgrade feature stripping them because it thinks the main computer is better... so annoying

Thanks so much for creating this amazing mod!!! I always have a problem with merging transport feets (guess some mods conflicting) and I tried many ways just can't figure it out. Your mod not only just solve this problem but also give me stronger transports. thanks again!

Was confused until you explained it, and agree with you that not mentioning scary "00_ship _size" might be a good idea indeed.
IMO "Overwrites transport portion of the 00_ship _size ..." might sound like overwriting a file and scare people off indeed, like you said.

I think the usual way for mods is to just say something like "overwrite following game files: ..." (not mentioning any additional files at all) and that's what I was looking for initially tbh, as wasn't sure if maybe tweaking transports might require to overwrite whole 00_ship_sizes.txt or something, which clearly isn't the case, as you explained.
Don't think I've ran across any other transport ship mods either.

Anyway, will shut up now to avoid even more confusion or having you tweak things to make things worse needlessly, sorry.

Not sure why are you so confused about it, it seems quite simple ot me XD

I updated the description so that it should be as clear as possible of what is altered, what is it going to conflict with it, and why do have to be altered.

Also, I am curious. Is there really any other mods that also change how transports work? (Not counting the one that give weapons to transports. I tried to look for them and did not see anything at all besides tons of armed transport mods.

Yeah, think it's a "dryest fact vs derived interpretation" thing, where latter indeed can be more useful than former, even though less precise.

I don't want to use the 00_ship_sizes term because many overhaul mods make changes to that, and mine only changed transport. Don't want to mislead people. Some may not even aware what is a 00_ship_sizes and may mistake it for...ship model sizes.

This mod changes transport and only transport. If you have any other mods that alter how transports function (aka all those armed transport mods), then they will conflict. Other than that, nothing to worry about. I don't think it's really that hard to understand :P

"'transport = {' portion of 00_ship_sizes via extra file" instead of "transport ship file" (not actually referring to any overwritten file) would've also been much more comprehensible for me.

transport ship file is the portion of 00_ship_sizes. I do not need to overwrite the whole ship size, only the transport one (To allow it to have a combat computer, and to make them not make of papers)

I don't think any mods really change anything about transport ship_size beside the ones that give them weapons, of which it if you use those, you probably won't be using this one.

Also, no idea what you mean by "transport ship file itself" (in addition to section_templates/transport.txt), but maybe I'm just dumb, sorry :)

I already write the overwritten file, which is the transport ship file itself and the section template. Nothing else is changed.

I kinda expected to see list of overwritten files in the "detailed list of contents" post, to see roughly what it'd be incompatible with, maybe worth adding there?
Can be checked in the zip too of course, but for those of use who are lazy too even do that... :)

this must be the most important mod ever in the creation of stellaris.
how many wars i have fought that resulted of uneeded casualities/ civilian deads/ leaders and troops. cause the damn marine core couldnt fly there transports to there targets and prolonging bombardments and the war it self. or getting blown up cause there emergency warp drive wasnt ready but there sublight could have easly outrunned the enemy fleet. sir your magical science wil save so many lives the galaxy thanks you 07.
