If you ever found a fix let me know. A good mod to test this sort of melee action pause issue is with Duke Nukem Squadmate mod where you can get him as a covert mission. When you do his knuckle duster or similar attack, it pauses for like 6seconds or more.

Could be some other issue affecting this. I've recently rebuilt my xcom2 lwotc loadout and will be testing again after many fixes and optimizations done.

@Makk: I remember those issues when I was playing the game almost vanilla briefly after release, just very few visual mods I used back then...though they've definitely become more over time. Might either be just general amount of mods(RAM footprint) or just that it's more often happening in WOTC maybe.
Mind you, I had a pretty bad computer back then though, just 8GB of RAM even.

@Dragon32 So what mods could raise this issue? Is that even a old bug in vanilla game? I don't recall many situation like this one when I enter the game years ago... Thanks.

The visualiser can get out of step, troopers falling through floors before the fuel tank blows up and the like. This mod is trying to reduce soft locks, not the occasional purely visual hiccup.

Enemies die before my soldiers' overwatch animation complete, is that a knowing issue?

Would you mind if you can update this for Undying Loyalty dark event?
I had a soldier killed an Advent trooper with overwatch shot, then undying loyalty triggered.
However, the corpse needs to slowly drop dead to the ground, before doing the undead reanimation animation.

@Dragon32 I am already using that mod (and lots of rapid fire soldiers). The slash lag is usually the worst upon the first (wakashi's lighning) slash of the mission. Just now I counted out a full 26 second lockup that I thought was a crash, but it wasn't.

Not a lock-up, but does anyone get large lag in between ordering a slash to when the unit soldier moving?

This is a godsend. You literally can't use soldiers with Multi-Overwatch perks without this mod, thank you for this critical bugfix.

I've heard of people having problems with the Lost & Abandoned mission when running the original Lifetime Stats mod (although I never did). If you're using that try switching to Rusty's Redux version.

Yeah, apparently false alarm. Got the tips it could be this mod, and the cutscene with "escort skirmisher" played after I disabled this mod. Started a new game without it, and then same problem but now on first act, "escort Reaper". Weird...........

@aredenrare: I used this mod recently on a fresh campaign and the cutscene did play for me. It's possible that there's some weird mod conflict going, making the cutscene not play on your end.

Quick message. This mod made cinematic cutscreens not playing. In the first escort skirmisher mission, you may get stuck. I deactivated the mod, and everything went as normal.

Still getting some lock ups, especially with enemies like Bio Vipers (exploding on death) and perks like Close Combat Specialist.

There still seems to be a lockup when an unit dies from overwatch fire with the "undying loyalty" dark event and spawns a zombie

Is there any chance this mod is affecting the cinematic lockups on the Skirmisher's Justice and Wrath abilities? I'm wondering because for some reason, both of those skills will lockup for roughly 30 seconds, and often, especially in the case of Wrath, the Skirmisher will not be in the proper spot next to its target.
If the mod isn't affecting these two skills, does anyone know why this bug is happening? Thanks. :)

I think it was some sort of conflict between 2 reveal animations. You see her "shimmer" when she is running in to swrod while stealthed, and she is revealed during the melee animation.
However, taking damage also reveals her, so it probably tried to play 2 overlaping animations and got hung up.

Maybe, hard to say, probably too late to test now, but if you use `X2DebugVisualizer` at the console you can see if some visualization is currently running (ie, do you see a tree/flow chart kind of thing in the overlay or not!)

Had a weird bug where the assassin ran into a mine while invisible (trying to move in to sword strike my soldier) and the game soft locked and I had to reload a save.
Is that the same kind of issue as this, or is it something else?

Experienced lockup with the Rifleman class during Hold The Line with this modenabled. Lockup was not resolved after several minutes and the client had to be restarted.

I had problems (would cause lockups) with this mod when I tried to add it mid-campaign and I had to remove it on that playthrough.

But it seems to work fine when added to a new campaign.

To confirm the exact perks, have the infiltrator class's close combat specialist against an opposing elite (Yes, must be ELITE) Salarian. Move into each other's proximity, and the glitch will happen.

Have to confirm with Rtma. Any enemies that have similar close combat reaction shot passive, such as the salarian enemy mod, will result in a lockup if another opposing unit has a close combat passive reaction shot triggered at the same time. Unfortunately, the problem persists even with this mod installed.

If you aren't using the alternative mod launcher try it out, might sort out the issue, other than that it seems like your mod of "Additional Enemy Perks" might be the cause of the issue. Good luck!

I don't know where to post this or what's responsible but since this deals with Overwatch related mechanics I'll give this a try, my game keeps getting stuck in a close Quarters shot that doesn't fire, was wondering what one can do about this?

I use the AML already and it didn’t flag any conflictions with this mod and any others. I am running 106 in total though, mainly qol.

I’ll use the guides and see if they throwbup anything.

Possibly a conflicting class override. Grab the Alternate Mod Launcher which should identify.

Hi, I am running WoTC on a HP Envy with windows 10 64 bit that has a NVidia MX150 GPU. If I use this mod the GPU only uses 50% processing power and the game slows concidrably. All the other mods I run are fine.
