UPDATE 20250514

With the introduction of Deep Space Fortresses, the vanilla Stellaris issue where ships endlessly circle without being able to approach the enemy has become more common during battles.
While the previous version of BSB mostly addressed this issue, the new version of BSB now fully resolves it.

UPDATE 20250508

Updated for the Stellaris 4.0 Phoenix Update.

1. Ship roles can now be selected via the Default Combat Computers even without unlocking combat computer technologies.

2. Now apply BSB's improved ship behaviors, including the Sniper Combat Computers, to space creatures and bio-ships as well.

3. A new modifier for strikecraft durability has been introduced, allowing me to remove the previous changes to PD weapons related to repeatable technologies. This improves mod compatibility, and when used together with Balanced Repeatable Techs, strike craft will now scale with repeatable techs that enhance ship hull, armor, and shields, helping to resolve balance issues.

4. Fixes some combat computer script errors[forum.paradoxplaza.com] in vanilla Stellaris.

5. Fixed the issue where the order of combat computers got scrambled in ESC NEXT. Make sure to load ESC NEXT above BSB in your mod load order.

UPDATE 20250325

Updated for Stellaris v3.14.15926 update.

Due to a bug in Stellaris 3.14.15926[forum.paradoxplaza.com], AI ships rarely use A slot components. This could not be fixed with modding.
I hope the Devs fixes this issue quickly.

Fixes the order of combat computers in ESC NEXT being mixed up.
You need to place ESC NEXT above and BSB below in the mod loading order.
