UPDATE 20220622


BSW has been updated to match the Stellaris 3.44.

Automatic exploration/building, regeneration balacne adjustment, etc. have all been applied.


Starbases gain basic regeneration.



All starbases, including outposts, are equipped with a 'Starbase Damage Control' component by default.
This component is an A slot component that gives 0.1% hull/armor/shield regeneration per day.
Like all other regenerations, this regeneration will always work during combat.

This will increase the basic combat capability of the starbase closer to the displayed milpower.
It will also prevent starbases from getting too strong early in the game, while making large starbases stronger after mid-game.


Starbases gain additional regeneration through weapon modules.



Starbases will get an additional A slot per battery/missile/hangar module, and thus additional regeneration.
In the end, a starbase with all modules filled with weapon modules will be able to get a total of +0.7% hull/armor/shield regeneration.

This will widen the difference in the actual combat power of starbases with weapons and starbases for civilian purposes.
Again, this will also prevent starbases that don't care about defense from becoming too strong, and will make battle-only starbases in key locations stronger according to their stature.


Now all starbases will be designed fairly.

The Starbase does not use any other A-slot components - the shield condenser, auxiliary fire control, and regenerative hull tissue. Instead, only the 'Starbase Damage Control' components described above are used.

In this way, the unfairness in which the true combat power of randomly created starbases differs significantly will be resolved.

This version of BSW can also be used for existing saves, but new games are recommended.

Since it won't make a fatal error, it can be used for existing saves, but since the vanilla Stellaris has also been patched, it is recommended to start a new game.

1. AI empires will also consider the proportion of enemy or rival ships when constructing their fleet.
If the enemy is a large-ship-oriented fleet, they will increase the proportion of ships that are equipped with L-slot weapons, missiles or strikecrafts in the fleet.
If the enemy is a small-ship-oriented fleet, they will increase the proportion of ships with S/M-slot weapons in the fleet.
If a player builds a battleship/cruiser spam fleet or a corvette/destroyer spam fleet, the AI ​​empire will respond as well.
2. AI empires will use a bit more self-destructive corvettes and assault boarding corvettes.
3. AI ​​Empires will organize point-defense ships into their fleet when the Gray Tempest appears. Previously, only the Prethoryn Scourge was considered among cosmic situations.
