Face Creation Mod

Description
THIS ADD-ON IS SUPERSEDED BY BLACK MESA CHARACTER EXPANSION AND IS NO LONGER MAINTAINED

For the sake of my own tastes I went and made some changes to Black Mesa's character manifest file, hoping to bring an additional level of variety to the Face Creation system - this includes human NPCs with both randomized and predetermined appearances. This mod was more or less made with personal preferences in mind and largely only focuses on subtle details, but if you're interested:

Changes include:
-General attempts at additional facial variety for all human NPCs
-Security guards can now spawn with or without walkie-talkies and, more importantly, protective helmets. (Additional damage resistance not included.)
-HECU Marines now all wear gloves.
-HECU Grunts, who previously only wore gas mask helmets, now tend to favor a helmet without a gas mask (similar to the Medics' but without markings); this accessory was previously unused by the Face Creation system.
-HECU Medics will now occasionally sport sunglasses.

Some "fixes" are included with this mod, including:
-Added unique, preset appearances to NPCs who previously used the default appearance due to having a blank manifest entry, such as:
-The security guard corpse at the end of Office Complex found being looted by another guard
-Both living scientists found during Apprehension [see above]
-The scientist in the security room at the end of We've Got Hostiles
-The scientist found in the ordnance storage building in Surface Tension
-Several instances of sameface in Anomalous Materials should be fixed now. These included:
-Two of the scientists in the main Development Lab (the one on the computer and the one nearby sitting on a stool, rehearsing for his meeting with Dr. Cross)
-The three scientists seen at the end of the Development Hall (two in the lab, one who walks past it)
-Two scientists seen just before the Anti-Mass Spectrometer entrance

Subtle misc changes:
-The scientist who gets headcrabbed in Unforseen Consequences now shares an appearance with the G-Man scientist from the last chapter (this change being of the virtue that they're both seen in the meeting room)
-The two HECU who ambush Freeman in Apprehension now maintain the same appearances throughout their scene.

UPDATE 1:
-Attempted more facial variety with the HECU.
-Vortigaunt slaves now have two expression presets: "angry" and "frightened".

UPDATE 2:
-Fixed the "test chamberrrrrr" scientist's glasses clipping through his ears by slightly widening his head.
-Added variety to the female scientists in Anomalous Materials, as well as an aditional female scientist variant to the Face Creation pool.
-Added facial deformations to the first three guards seen in Anom. Materials.
-Edited one of the manifest entries for compatibility with another one of my mods...

UPDATE 3:
-Added cameos for Dr. Magnusson and Breen. Credit to this guy for the original concept.

UPDATE 4:
-Removed the Breen cameo. My method of implementing him apparently caused him to appear in Questionable Ethics as a floating ragdoll.

Would something like this and BMCE be possible for HL2?

I'm wondering right now on how the Face Creation system works on randomizing faces for the Human NPCs.

Just curious, does this mod completely remove the ability to spawn the H.E.C.U with gas masks? Or does it just make it less likely to happen?

The mod looks great on paper, my only suggestion would be to make a version of it that makes the h.e.c.u. use their masks and balaclavas as it was the standard in hl1.

Pretty much. Might still update this to be a lightweight version of it though

Does BMCE render this mod obsolete?

Is it compatible with 1.0?

Please update...

The Magnusson cameo is kinda broken. His textures are still colored like normal, but the shadows are in light and dark checkers. That's... the best way I can describe it.
