Just curious, does this mod completely remove the ability to spawn the H.E.C.U with gas masks? Or does it just make it less likely to happen?

The mod looks great on paper, my only suggestion would be to make a version of it that makes the h.e.c.u. use their masks and balaclavas as it was the standard in hl1.

The Magnusson cameo is kinda broken. His textures are still colored like normal, but the shadows are in light and dark checkers. That's... the best way I can describe it.

This addon doesn't modify eye textures.

For some reason I'm seeing scientists with error textures for eyes. This is the only mod I have that modfies them.

Try starting a new game instead of loading a save. If you still experience a crash, try revalidating your files

I seem to have a problem when I try to load a save on black mesa the game crashes and this is whenever I am subscribed to the mod.

I mean, exactly what kind of problems have you encountered relating to Magnusson? Does he show up as an NPC or corpse after Anomalous Materials?

Yeah, before Magnusson was added it worked just fine, i think these should stay different addons.

I'll remove Breen for sure, since his addition had the unfortunate consequence of him showing up as a floating corpse in Questionable Ethics. Do you have any Magnusson-related issues though?

Isn't it insane enough that the HECU Commanders wear nothing but a beret on their heads by default? Mind you, the medics don't wear gas masks either.

So you know for sure this addon doesn't work? After installing it and following the guide to a T - that is, you edited gameinfo.txt properly and plopped the VPK right into a folder called Custom?

As far as conflicting mods go, on the other hand, check you aren't subscribed to anything that is said to modify character_manifest.txt

The only mods that come to mind are Bigger Boot's Magnusson and Breen additions, since they also replace the character manifest file.

It was mainly a personal choice (see above) that I thought added a level of uniformity and professionalism to the HECU troops. You're welcome to edit my modded manifest file to allow gloveless soldiers if you prefer that instead.
