The Zenith of Fallen Empires 4.2.3 for Stellaris Version 3.14

Ten millennia ago, the galaxy had glimpsed apocalypse when Ascended Empires waged war and brought death to a mighty civilization. Convinced of the righteousness of this Great Crusade, each Ascended Empire pushed the limits of science, fielding massive fleets armed with new superweapons at every turn, each more dangerous than the last. Great battles were fought, leaving thousands of tomb worlds echoing through the void of space. Today, the Titan guns lay silent, their technologies not yet reimagined by the primitives who had survived the Great Crusade. Few empires would reach the pinnacle of civilization, and the lessons of the Great Crusade showed that even the mightiest can fall. For all their achievements, the Fallen Empires are now shadows of their former selves, crippled by internal fighting and apathy. Oh, they have seen war like the primitives wouldn't believe, and that is why they must stand as eternal reminders for all younger races the value of galactic peace. But the lessons of the past can be easily forgotten, even if the echoes of history haunt us still. From the shadows, a new power rises.


The Zenith of Fallen Empires celebrates its sixth anniversary with its long-awaited fourth iteration of the popular mod series. Featuring a brand-new ascension mechanic, The Zenith of Fallen Empires retraces the steps of the fallen, allowing players to rise to the pinnacle of civilization and military might, becoming an Ascended Empire – Fallen Empires in their prime, where they carve out their own sphere of influence by coercing lesser empires to their cause. In this playground of the giants, the future of the galaxy is at stake. Building on the advances made in 3.0, The Zenith of Fallen Empires now offers greater flexibility and compatibility than ever before, allowing players the freedom to choose and forge their own path in this ultimate sandbox – the story of their civilization’s rise, and fall.

Thanks for all your work over the years to keep this mod going. Its my favourite by a long way.

Just a thought for something that would be good to see in the future it would be great to be able to start as one of the standard lore fallen empires (I know you can manufacture this start already) as it could be an origin complete with history and unique challenges that come with it - but maybe with a different style of awakening event focusing on factions. Could be a fun alternative to normal games as you cant expand but you could lose more systems/tech/fleets resourse potentially due to faction infighting and you role as the player is to minimise this and bring the awakening before the crisis and originals hit.

Anyway keep up the great work

I am making a modpack with this mod as well as sandbox and megacorp and the gigastructure compat patch included, ive narrowed it down to Zenith being the culprit but whenever i load up the game it loads up fine but as soon as i push new game it hard freezes and i need to alt f4 every time. its repeatable. so as of the phoenix version Zenith is no longer working. silly paradox and their frequent updates :(

Is anyone else getting an issue with the game claiming all your former saves are now incompatible?
It's telling me my saves are from older versions (Circinus, Andromeda etc) despite them definitely not being that old

Ok here's one of many brainstorming ideas for zenith 4.0 or maybe 5.0 if that ends up happening.
Mostly integrating some sub mods as part of the main mod.
1. Zenith of fallen empires:classical ascension. With this you can keep your species metal color along with a flag color. This could be expanded upon with a situation log right in the ZOFE event chain where you pick your design and you pick the neutral design then a new option will start where you create your own style where you decide how the design goes. It would be split into two choices.You pick either the ethic design, or the species design. i really do like this mod along with ACOT and Gigastructures my trinity with mods along with fallen empires that don't really get enough attention by the devs. Keep up with the good work.#YearOfTheFallen:Blessing:

@majoryt @Clownpeace I am on 3.14 but i debugged it already, at 3.8 you got all of these so i don't understand what happened. Btw anyone ever experienced that the war goals are gone, Conquer and Humiliate only available.

@Quo I don't know which version you're on but the Sandbox ascension options are based on what Ascension Perks you already have. I only usually got Colossi after picking up Defender of the Galaxy/Galactic Contender
