Performance isn't great, with plenty of visual bugs, story elements are just a slog and annoying, and default options are bizarrely bad. Not to mention the party system is also confusing to get going at first.

Still, Monster Hunter with Crossplay is nice. Not worth full price IMO and performance needs to be fixed before I could really recommend.

While not super original, featuring trading cards give this game a fresh enough spin that'll help even the most mundane retail workers with managing to find some enjoyment in it.

There's plenty of ways to play, from focusing on collecting cards, to mix-maxing money, or doing your best in making a genuine 1:1 card shop.

Just remember, no one can do the job faster than yourself.

IF YOU HAVE A FEAR OF BUGS - STAY AWAY, otherwise this works great as an exposure tool.

I recommend EDF 5, not 6. Not only does this game re-use assets from previous games (which has been seen as acceptable for a more 'budget-like' series) but now it also re-uses missions from previous games AND ITSELF - some of which are painstakingly bad to sit through as they focus too much on story.

Premise is hordes of bugs, simplistic gameplay, clunky controls, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ voice acting, and collecting item boxes.

Not a game I recommend for solo play, you will want some friends to run through this with.

Co-op still has previous games' desync issues with players locations being half way across the map at times. (Has no bearing on gameplay, more so a visual glitch.)

For veteran players? It's more of the EDF you know and love, for better or worse. Not one deserving of a full price purchase however.

Clunky *default* controls / camera, typical anime story, and last gen graphics.

Amazing customization, huge optional grind, fast paced action, and super small file size,

Custom Robo is back babyyyyy

Morkite missions in this game don't make me want to shorten my life span, so that's a plus!

Deep Rock Galactic takes a spin at turning the IP into a survivor clone. *Hence the name.* Isometric gameplay fueled by constant level-up dopamine as enemies flood your screen to try and end your run.
It's a simple and effective formula, with a few extra touches of the DRG brand. *Sadly no co-op however.*

I can definitely say this game is a lot more enjoyable to me than the original Deep Rock Galactic. The compact nature of the game means you'll always be in the mist of combat, and never too far from being lost on the cramped maps.

In its infancy, I won't be saying it beats out Holocure or Halls of Torment as my favorite survivor game. Locking overclocks behind having to level up the weapon to a certain point in a previous run feels like an unnecessary means of stretching the game's content out, and thus having to play "dead" runs.

Minor complaints would be the game not having additional control options, at least in terms of rebinding, or the ability to easily face a certain direction. (Which does affect the usefulness of some weapons.) I'm also unable to fuel my ADHD because the game halts if you click outside the window.

A 3D roguelite, similar to Risk of Rain 2.

That said, I like it more than the aforementioned title, as it takes a simpler approach to the concept with more of a focus on what makes it fun. Not only that, but there's plenty of customization in terms of difficulty.

Instead of having a character with a bunch of different abilities, you have a basic ♥♥♥♥♥ crab and a gun of your selection. While there's a good handful of guns to choose from, they all perform the task of clicking on targets with very little funny business. By the end, that gun will act vastly different from what it started off as.

In turn, the progression of power is always at the forefront and the game never feels like it scales to a point where it becomes frustrating or simply uncontrollable. (Unless you play beyond a reasonable point.)

In terms of the multiplayer - it can have a few hiccups with connectivity, however one of the best parts of this game is the fact that your run will be SAVED. You can rejoin the lobby and get right back into it on the next stage. Even if both of you crash or decide to call it quits for the day, you can pick up right back where you left off.

One of my personal qualms with Risk of Rain 2 was the personal hoarding of items when playing online. This is lessened by the upgrades mostly coming from level completion, given separately to each player, and stores. You can also drop and share loot if you feel like spreading the love.

All I wish to see changed to the game is for parkour levels to be individual and not team based. More weapons would be nice too.

I'm willing to admit I like Vtubers (!), and Hololive is easily the top of the pack in my opinion.

Regardless of all that, this little passion project that's COMPLETELY FREE - manages to surpass a lot of other games, even paid ones. If you enjoy the idea of playing as a host of unique characters as you attempt to defeat the swarms of enemies coming at you, chances are you'll find a lot to love. Just don't let the anime aesthetic stop you from giving it a fair shake.

I'm going to have a dissenting voice in the crowd here and say that Deep Rock Galactic is a "fine" game. It's not great, but it's certainly not anywhere near BAD.

I do have to give this game some wiggle room; it is made by an indie team, and they do a pretty solid job at being fair with the DLC. - That doesn't change the amount of fun I have with the game however.

DRG is one of the few co-op games we've been lucky enough to get in recent years, and sadly it seems to fumble on being an experience that goes beyond being anything more than that. Now granted, you can play this game solo just fine with your mini-companion Bosco, but that's missing out on half the fun, anddddd that's a lot of the fun to be missing out on when there's not much to begin with.

The big gimmick to DRG is the ability to terraform your surroundings, akin to what you may have seen in something like the OG Red Faction. It's a fun little bit of the game that opens itself up (pun intended) to some chaotic situations and niche strategies. The one class you can play as, Driller, does a great job at giving you the power to say, "♥♥♥♥ it, we drill", and carve your own path to where ever you want to go. But I did say it's a gimmick... Having to use this mechanic to desperately deal with the sometimes questionable terrain generation is a pain in a half. That's not to say that the other classes don't all have their own unique way to traverse, rather that they have to get a bit more creative with their solutions. In the game's current state, they could afford to increase the mining speed, most likely making normal rocks break with one less swing without making tunnel escapes too easy to perform.

Most of the main objectives in this game get the job done. Most being fairly average "go and find this", or have an element of defending something. The two most notable to me involve Morkite. Oh... Morkite... The fun Morkite is Morkite Refinement. It involves you placing down pipelines to three different pumps. You can make all sorts of fun and unoptimized roller coasters to travel and defend. Driller being your best buddy for any tracks needing to pass through some underground tunnels. It really shows the quirky side of this game.

And then there's normal morkite expeditions. Yeah - these just suck. Go down long and elaborate tunnels in hopes of finding the minerals you need on the walls. They don't provide much of a challenge besides whatever the game normally has in store for you, and it's also the one that cares little to provide any extra assistance in finishing it up. You see, sometimes the generation of the cave can really ♥♥♥♥ you over, and you might have to do a lot of backtracking just to find a vein you might have missed. It boggles my mind that every other mission type pretty much spells out what you need to do or where you need to go. Morkite? You better hope you get a simple and straight forward cave to delve.

My final point is progression. After you've prestiged your favorite class or two and unlocked all the guns, there's still plenty more to do! - But it's not exactly fun or rewarding. The end game progression is entirely RNG based. Generally doing an extra task in select missions or doing a difficult string of missions called a "Deep Dive", you're rewarded with weapon mods and cosmetics. You have no control over which ones you get or don't get though. Part of this is likely so you don't just rush to get what you want and then - I dunno, enjoy the game however you want... Throw in the argument for getting you to experiment a little with each class and weapon, It's just not a great system and feels defeating when you get yet ANOTHER item for a class you don't even bother with. Sure, you do usually get a choice in the selection of a mod vs cosmetic, along with the class or two, but if you're chasing a certain mod to try out a particular build or just want ANY kind of mod for your favorite weapon - it can be painful.

Look, playing with friends can make anything more enjoyable, and this game isn't BAD, but man, there's a lot of little things that just make this game grow stale too quickly in my eyes. And yes, I know that mods probably exist to alleviate these issues, but games should be reviewing based on the core experience that you're intended to get.

Still, I'm extremely excited for their upcoming spin-off vampire survivor title.

Modern Warfare **3** Review:
Decent expansion pack, costs too much though, buy on sale.

Modern Warfare **2** Review:
Game is literally built on spaghetti code and just keeps making more bugs every time they patch this. Gun camos just randomly being taken off, ENTIRE GUN CUSTOMIZATION AND SELECTIONS JUST DISPPEARING AFTER REBOOT, and now I've apparently been reported for my username??? You tell me what the hell is offensive about "Geoson". (Other people have complained about the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ reporting system too.)

That's not even mentioning the fact that the majority of maps suck ass, the content is drip fed, plenty of things from previous CoDs being ripped out for no reason, the TERRIBLE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UI, and they can't even make appealing store bundles to sucker people out of money.

Nah, ♥♥♥♥ game, don't buy.

Game still not fully out, game sometimes has bug that makes things sound like bug in ear. Also sometimes I vanish to the warp but return shortly after.

No big deal. game very fun. Emperor rewards me with shiny new items. Me happy.
