Rocksmith is a great tool to learn guitar. Taking the formula of Guitar Hero / Rockband but with putting a real guitar in your hands. This "game" makes practicing a lot of fun and keeps you wanting more. You'll still have those rocky moments of doubt and find difficulty in pressing foward, yet with the ability to always lower the challenge or do other various activites, Rocksmith ensures that anyone can learn at their own pace.

Rocksmith isn't perfect though. Uplay is behind this great software, which means if the Ubisoft servers go down you'll run into problems. (Not sure on the extent of that)

DLC can also be price-y when it isn't on sale. I'd advise setting up a wishlist of songs that interest you and simply waiting for one of the annual Steam sales.

Has some translation errors (inexcusable ones that should be visible even if you looked through just the code) and tends to crash every now and then. THIS GAME IS PROBABLY NOT A GOOD INTRODUCTION TO FIGHTING GAMES.

HOWEVER, it's an anime fighting game that is fun and enjoyable. These problems really don't get in the way of that. Sure, you should know going in that the game's population is low and this game is definitely niche. As long as you are cool with picking up some copies for some friends or exploring to find other players, you will find some fun here.

If you know anything about Melty Blood I'll point out that this game is the spirtitual successor - and it shows. Linne is basically Shiki (best girl) and Sion is in here with some legal distinctions.

Anyway, a new version is coming out soon so either pick this up on sale or wait for the new one.

Early Access Review
Used to be a really fun and enjoyable game, but the developers quickly found themselves in a rut due to money issues and not having the playerbase or well oiled cash shop to support themselves. They went dark for a LONG time until finally being bought by the current publisher of APB Reloaded - The game that got turned to utter Pay to Win trash. (Although it wasn't all that great to begin with IMO)

I'm not sure how just how bad the pay to win got after this transfer of hands, but it has lead to the game being ported to the consoles and suffering even more by having no focus and driving away what little fan base still existed.

This game COULD have been amazing, but instead it will forever be a tragic loss. Unfortunately the options for good mechs games at this point are all either, fairly weak indie titles, games exclusive to the Playstation, or really old games. Oh and I suppose Mechwarrior Online if you want a slower paced more tactical game. Please for the love of god, someone make a solid arena mech shooter again!

EDIT: My opinion on this game has changed over time. (It happens) With the release of the sequel it turns a lot of, "I guess I can put up with this" to, "don't put up with this because it really is just bad." I'll update this review further to give a bit more clarity on how I feel now and also give a synopsis for the story because apparently the internet is only full of both a single half baked paragraph intro to the story and long ass entries on the entire routes. Thus you'll get a crappy dummy's guide to what is an overly complicated and mediocre story that gets by from waifu-bait from me so you can enjoy the sequel instead,

Old Review:
Half visual novel, half Dynasty Warriors. Fate/EXTELLA is a splendid experience for all Fate/ fans.

While the gameplay can get a bit repetitive after a while, the story does a nice job at not dragging too long. Each story line is composed of about five 30~ minute battles with visual novel sequences in between. If you don't like some or any of the main three heriones, you might have some trouble, as the main story tries to really sell you on them and your relationship with them. It also has some VERY anime-esque scenes that might make some uncomfortable. (Only convinent water baths and IMPLIED dolphins this time.)

For those that have no clue what a Dynasty Warriors game is all about, it's basically just a horde of enemies being thrown on your screen. Most are cannon fodder that won't stand a chance but there are some special units that can take a few more hits and even hit you back. Of course the real battle begins when you have to deal with enemy servants on the field, who will block and even try to unleash special moves on you. All of this occurs on a map that is broken into pieces, some worth more than others. The goal is to clear out or defend these sectors and claim them all for yourself. In addition to all that is each servant has their own level which will raise throughout your time playing the game. Increase your servant's level and you'll gain access to new moves, and if you increase their bond, more slots for passive buffs.

The cast of characters has most of the beloved cast members that fans are itching to see more of, along with most of the returning cast of characters from the EXTRA series. This gives a lot of variety in playstyles when doing side missions and free battles, but sadly isn't utilized for the main plot, which definitely doesn't help the reptitive gameplay that I pointed out.

The DLC is fair and honest for this game. Just some outfits for about a buck or two a piece. Sadly we are still missing out on some pre-order exclusives, but I'm hopeful they see the $$$ signs and include these down the line when the game has pretty much stopped selling.

The port is pretty solid. Only seen maybe one or two frame drops in my playtime so far (16.5 hours) on really HUGE hits attacking a large amount of enemies, but I suspect that had more to do with my aging hard drive than anything else. You'll be glad to get this game on PC where you can run it without a hitch if your system allows for it, unlike the Vita or Switch versions which supposedly have some dips here and there. Programs like ReShade work on it as well if you dig trying to alter how the game looks.

I recommend this to anyone that enjoys Fate/, and for the rest of you to go educate yourself and enjoy one of my favorite anime / visual novels so that you can come back to this.

Makes Artoria look like Artoria Lily if she decided to fight in her sleepwear.

Great for dedicated magazine buyers and welfare servant lovers.

Makes Jeanne look like a ridiculous magical girl with dog ears.

I dunno, I don't really understand this one.

10/10 would buy confusing outfit again.

Probably my favorite outfit for best girl because you can actually see her wearing this in combat, unlike some other DLC.

Definitely not Artoria / 10

Puts best girl into a swimsuit and adds some "interesting" boob physics.

10/10 would use unfitting outfit in combat again.
