THAT's how you do a third entry. Take that, The Hangover Part III!

This game feels like the devs giving it their all after all they've learnt making Halo CE and 2. It's an epic end to a trilogy with great setpieces and cool moments.

This stuff is very addicting and equally infuriating - Just like gambling, you just wanna keep trying 'till you get lucky and chase that high of absolutely smashing the game.

Ultimately, permadeath roguelikes aren't my thing... BUT this game has left an impression on me.
The meat of it is honestly pretty fun and it's a one-of-a-kind concept with a nice UI.

It's an extremely enjoyable game. Good selection of cars, good soundtrack, unique gameplay. It's even got cool competitive incentive if you got other people on your friends list topping leaderboards.

I couldn't name another game like this. Thee cop vs racer stuff is truly something to love. You can mix the vehicle combat tools at your disposal to become an unstoppable force of nature.

Little aged but a nice game nonetheless.
The multiple POV thing is cool - The narrative focus is really upped here and in contrast to the first game there's a focus on the covenant storyline actually and the story of their civilization.
I played in classic mode again but switched to remastered for the cutscenes, damn they're good.

I'm only thinking about what that ending was...

I literally grew up playing this game and in my opinion it's still one of the best games out there of its' own time. From the cars to the city, the story, everything down to the little details.

The game's pretty good, though it hasn't aged too gracefully and it's kinda repetitive with questionable level design. But I guess we all start somewhere.

The game seems alright, but it's grossly falsely advertised.
It's just not some martial arts game. Instead, this has turned out to be a roguelike in disguise - except you cannot return to a level being any better, you just gotta keep replaying it with the same stats as before 'till you're lucky enough not to die as much so you can progress to the next level without being too old.

And that honestly wouldn't be a problem, but the parry and dodge windows are so pixel perfect you may as well need to tag this as rhythm game. As punishment for missing any, you can get wiped out in two hits by a random enemy.


Seriously, why is advertising a game as it really is so complicated for devs?

It's somewhat fun and uniquely stylistic

However, the game's over reliance on completing challenges within a level rather than simply finishing the level as a means to progress makes very little sense plot wise and turns the game sour quick.
The random unbalanced difficulty spike doesn't help. It turned from fun high paced skating shooter action to trying to dodge every single thing aiming at you from across the map - and not ever having enough firepower to dispatch said enemies quick enough.
