It's fun, for a while. Just like an Anno game, this game is fun as long as you are learning how to play, what to do, how to do it. But once you know how to get profitable towns and cities, it just becomes rather tedious, doing the same thing over and over again.

22cans and Peter M. are now on the same list as Ea and Ubisoft for me. Actually, they are leading that list.

If you know the whole "godus" scam, then you know not to buy this(or godus itself).
If you don't know about it, then believe all these negative reviews. We didn't even buy the game, we got it from 22cans.
I hope this game brings them 0 profit and teaches the people in command over at the 22cans offices how not to do things.

Minecraft, without textures, without community and without fun.

Don't buy this. If you want to play it, buy Planetary Annihilation: TITANS instead. It's a standalone with e few TITAN units added to. Apparently they couldn't just give us the few extra units. They had to make it standalone so the people who already own the original can buy another game, just for a few extra units. This is why we can't have nice things.

EDIT 2: It is now 2019, 3 years after my initial review. The game is now playable while having shadowplay active. An option to upgrade for regular owners of 'planetary annihilation' has also been added. I have played another few matches and the game did not crash. I'm dissapointed that it had to take this long before the devs did the obvious thing, but I'm happy that they did. Hence, I will change my recommendation of the game to "positive".

EDIT: It is now 2018, 2 years after my previous review. I have played another few matches. Before the first match I had to figure out why the game crashed when I started a match. After I disabled shadowplay, which aparently caused the crash, I started playing.

Unfortunately I experienced another crash after a match or 3. At first sight the game hasn't changed, though. The only difference I've found is that it now also crashes, which it didn't previously. Still don't recommend.

Basically, if you already own Planetary Annihilation, you're paying 10€ (now that it's on sale) for a few extra units.
If you don't already have the original then this is a good purchase. I don't see why it's not just a cheap unit DLC for the original because basically IT IS!

Fun game, both for playing stealthy and going loud. Runs smooth, friendly community.

Fun multiplayer. If you liked Don't Starve you'll surely like Don't Starve Together!
It's a little easier because you can harvest a lot more resources. It's also a little more fun because you can get revived when you die so the world isn't instantly lost when you die.

If you already owned DS on steam when DST was released, you'll have received DST for free so give it a try ;)

I was looking for something with the combat system in games like Wasteland2. Unfortunately the combat is quite slow and unvaried. It might become better later in the game but I can't force myself to play further than the first few days before I realise I'm not really having fun. I was have tried to like it, but I don't, it misses that special something.
