The game genuinly feels like a port. The graphics make you suspect it's from 2012, due to the use of the same engine they used for Far Cry 3 (although some improvements have been implemented). You have to mess in your files in order to get rid of the mouse acceleration. The story is bland. Ubisoft doesn't get pc gamers don't "hold" keys for action, we're used to a simple press to open a door.

Anyway, after playing for a few hours I didn't really have any real fun. Now, on the second day, the game doesn't even launch anymore. Judging on previous experiences with Ubisofts support I'm guessing I should fix this myself if I ever want to play it again. Their support usually suggest little more than "install latest drivers, reinstall, reboot pc" wich everyone obviously tries before contacting support.

Ubisoft is going down the wrong path imo. Too bad, the game sure had potential.

Didn't like the saints row series a lot before I played this. 100% it :p
Could be a bit harder though, especially when you have all superpowers.

Fun for a while. Nice artstyle.
Random map generation and the story mode has to be found in the random generated "main" map.

Squadbased turnbased tactics with base management in between missions.
Very good cocktail.

Cover system is sometimes a bit weird be no other complaints. Replay value is huge. Different starting continents, many research items, unlockeable through research but also things like capturing an alien alive give extra research options.
Soldier loadouts are editable with what you have in base(can buy stuff/make from alien alloys). Also units gain ranks and with each rank a new skill. The skill has to be chosen out of 2 options.

Buy. Satelites.

Great game! Did need some work to get rid of mouse acceleration, even though there's an option for it in the menu.

Enjoyed it a lot. Don't expect to spend 12 hours before you reach the end but it's a very memorable 12 hours, also some replay value due to upgradeable weapons system. Setting is amazing, the '80s vision of the present day.

True to it's roots, W:TNO is one hell of a single player fps experience.
Nice graphics, a linear world with a very open feel to it, different timelines increase replay value, hidden objects, secrets etc.
I also love how there not too much holding hands. Don't know what to do? Check the journal.

I feared this would be yet another example of how an old franchise comes to die. With one last turd of code and a punch in the face(and wallet) of anyone who used to play it. But it's not. It's wonderfull.

Spend hour upon hour playing this game a few years ago and still enjoy it every once in a while. Easy to learn how to play, but it takes a rather long time to know every trick and every "good spot" for infected to spawn in versus mode. This doesn't do in on the fun though, you can play even as a fresh noob and enjoy yourself for hours on end.

I advice strongly that you do NOT buy this game.
It is the most linear game there is, survival elements only go as far as "eat to get stamina", wich isn't survival imo.
At first startup there was a bug that wouldn't even let you change resolution. Contacting Ubisoft for support resulted in weeks of the most noob support I ever encountered. "Did you restart the game?" "Have you tried deleting and reinstalling".

Once I finally got it to work in a proper resolution(with NO useful help from Ubisoft what-so-ever) I really wanted to play and like it, but oh the horrible controls and game mechanics. Not to mention the still horrible graphics on max settings.

Do yourself a favour and buy something else. Seriously.

The game is not worth being calles a game. It's one of the most notorious EA titles out there. Complete abandonware. They even tried to woo us with a free copy of Godus Wars.
Short history: The game was mediocre at best. It only went downhill after that. Trying to sell a mobile game as a pc god game title. Just look at the other reviews. They let down everyone...

Do yourself a favour and wait this one out. There's so many things they have to get rid of and implement to make anyone think this is even a game. atm it's just a mobile game. And a crappy one at that.
