Has this been updated for 2.0? Is this necessary for 2.0 as there is no pre-FTL travel now for Pimitive Players 2.0?

Sounds like a mod conflict with the base mods, this only affects the civilian trade setup event chain. Any mod that also overwrites 00 eng tech will conflict and may give you FTL at start.

Trade ship designs are set to use ftl = root.owner, and I've set it so trade ships shouldn't be designed until after you have FTL, so I'm not sure what's causing the warp bug. Updated for 1.8 anyway.

Thanks for the bug report, knowing that it's warp behaving differently gives me a valuable clue. Will try to get it fixed this week, must update the base mods first.

good mod... but when you use warp FTL, the trader keep the preFTL, but the other FTL works fine

Seems I pushed this to the opposite problem, traders now get FTL even if you don't have it yet. Am working on that.
