It's been a year since this was updated, will someone just take it and update it?

I doubt the mod author cares whether someone does that or not, as they don't seem to care enough to update the mod or tell people it's ok to update ti themselves

@adamsrealm, I fixed the ringworld problem. A lot of people were having it. Here's a link:

If you're interested, feel free to grab everything there and credit me (or don't, that's fine too), and integrate it into your mod. Everything you need as both a player and modder to build multiple full-sized clean looking ringworlds in a binary/trinary system is in here, so enjoy.

@russell_conklin: You can't do that with full sized ringworlds.
This mod uses the habitat as a code base with a different model that is scaled to fit around the planet it's built over.

These ringworlds cannot be built around stars.

(PS. vanilla ringworlds don't work in multi star system anyways)

@Fervid Dragon: I'm trying to make a trinary system with three ruined ringworlds in it, but the ringworlds face the center of the system rather than facing the star they orbit. You seem to be the only person who has (sort of) solved this problem. How did you manage to get your ringworld segments to face in the correct direction?

This mod conflicts with "Ascendency Ringworlds" It causes planetary ringworlds to disappear when terraformed.

Terraforming the planetary ring worlds causes them to disappear visually.

I'm not sure on the mod conflict though...

Does anyone know how to change the look o the ring world? An example being if you look at the Asari Civ mod which has it's own graphical style including the look of the ringworld............is there a way to change the look of the planetary ringworld to match that?

@adamsrealm I only use Real Space but noticed that the Ringworlds aren't even there physically, just the label and the functionality.

I just got enough resources and have never built a megastructure in this save file.

Is there a known problem with this mod and Planetary Diversity, Immersive Galaxy or Beautiful Universe? I can build the Planetary rings and use them but visually they are not there (or seem to be to small to see).

@Ancient Gatekeeper: I haven't been experiencing this issue, I'll test it in my current game and compare notes. You and I seem share a sinilar taste in mods xD

@Mangrubber: While I feel your desire for this too, and you actually used to be able to back in, I think it was the 1.8 or 1.9 version of this mod, that's just too broken for 2.2. The AI already can't/doesn't use these, or any habitats for that matter.

Letting the player effectively create a Dyson Swarm fitting quadrillions of people in a single system, populating literally every rock with a size 16 hab just a level of obsurdity that cannot be compinsated for. You would easily go from new empire start to stronger than a Fallen empire by raw resource output alone because of these rings having default districts, and you can just turn your normal planets into Ecuminopili.

I do understand the appeal, but I think we need a non-stupid AI before we push that boulder down the ramp.

Poking around in the "planetary_ringworlds_classes.txt" file for the mod, the culprit seems to be that the Hivering is missing the "ideal = yes" flag, like the regular planetary ringworld, ringworld city, and machine ringworld do. I think this is causing the Hivering to default to 0% habitability.
