FOR KARL!
paulo 13. apr. kl. 16.42
Thanks for answering my question.
Malthus  [skaper] 12. apr. kl. 23.52
Yeah, works fine in the current version.
paulo 12. apr. kl. 15.44
Is this compatible with the 3.14?
UltraCorps 20. feb. kl. 10.37
Woo! thanks alot for the fix!
Malthus  [skaper] 19. feb. kl. 8.27
@UltraCorps This is truly embarrassing, but the reason it didn't work on my end was a mixup with the descriptorfile i was using for testing... It should now work again in the current version. The new dwarves will still be done later this year. Until then have fun again with the old portraits here :)
UltraCorps 22. jan. kl. 1.50
Great, i'll just be happy if it'd blow the vanilla ones out of the water
Malthus  [skaper] 21. jan. kl. 23.17
@UltraCorps Just wanted to let you know, that the plan is to make an improved version based on the vanilla dwarven portrait - no tattoos, new female face, better beards and hairstyles, new clothes. If everything goes according to plan, this will be done before the end of this year.

FOR ROCK AND STONE
UltraCorps 25. okt. 2024 kl. 13.27
I'll love to hear of progress on it if any is eventually made
Malthus  [skaper] 25. okt. 2024 kl. 7.24
I've tried today to fix it, to get it back into working order, but it doesn't work. If it was one of the normal portraits it shouldn't be an issue, but I can't figure out what I have to do with these non animated ones

I think at some point I'll let derega do a complete rework of the portraits to have it more in line with vanilla and animated, but that'll have to wait until the other projects are done.
UltraCorps 25. okt. 2024 kl. 5.36
The fact this is unusable in the current version of stellaris sucks, loved these portraits and always thought they were better than what base stellaris has
Breksus 28. okt. 2022 kl. 14.43
can pls update this mod for 3.5 this mod not run
Malthus  [skaper] 5. aug. 2022 kl. 22.25
I guess it happens when you bash two rocks together and some smaller part breaks off, or so the scholars say.
benzodiazepacetaminoprofen 5. aug. 2022 kl. 20.39
how are dwarf babys made?
Durandal 13. mai 2022 kl. 19.56
Because Paradox that's why xD
k1ttensausage 13. mai 2022 kl. 17.23
Had to fiddle with it, but i got it to work again, not sure why things just break sometimes.
k1ttensausage 13. mai 2022 kl. 17.11
Yeah it says it's missing the descriptor file since the update, ill try messing around with it some more.
Malthus  [skaper] 13. mai 2022 kl. 4.55
It works for me though. Please check if it is your launcher that fails to download the modfiles correctly.
k1ttensausage 13. mai 2022 kl. 1.08
pretty sure the overlord patch broke this mod, the mod launcher doesn't recognize it anymore.
Durandal 10. mai 2022 kl. 13.45
Nice, didn't expect that
Malthus  [skaper] 10. mai 2022 kl. 8.43
Challenge accepted.

But honestly I was quite lazy with updating this mod. In my defense though it did still work without any visible issues when I just tested it.
I fixed a small errorlog entry related to the namelist and set the species class to randomized = no. So however the issue with no name empires would be fixed, they shouldn't be created anymore in the first place.
Durandal 9. mai 2022 kl. 15.33
To anyone asking, no this is not up to date, the author has not updated this since 2019. You can safely assume it will not be updated again
pookeypookey86 23. mars 2022 kl. 13.30
is this updated for 3.3
Grendain 8. jan. 2021 kl. 9.39
Pls update for 2.2.8.1
Tristessa 29. juli 2020 kl. 9.31
I know the game already has dwarves, but look how cool these clothes are.
Tristessa 29. juli 2020 kl. 9.23
These are great, but they seem to bare the "no name" problem. Without the ability to generate random names, these guys will be generated by the AI at random as nameless entities. I wish someone could fix this for these guys, as the models are great I would love to play with Squats in my galaxy.
morkelebdwyer 4. mai 2020 kl. 11.22
says it's not compatible with current verne patch, so can't use dwarves
MakeLoveNotWar 4. apr. 2020 kl. 8.49
does this work with we are all dudes here
Ace The Aviator 22. des. 2019 kl. 11.31
Update?

Durandal 2. juni 2019 kl. 10.19
I wish someone would offer to animate these lol
paulo 26. mai 2018 kl. 18.14
And what about an update for the 2.1.0?
Malthus  [skaper] 27. feb. 2018 kl. 13.15
Updated to 2.0 and also finally got rid of the heir problem only displaying a male dwarf.
LI PARMIGIANA 5. jan. 2018 kl. 15.40
UDPATED! PLS!
paulo 1. jan. 2018 kl. 8.46
Now we have a Space Dwarve species in the Humanoid Species Pack, we need of mod with only Dwarven Names.
Malthus  [skaper] 22. des. 2017 kl. 15.55
Yeah i have noticed that too, but could not find the cause of it unfortunately.
d.kall 22. des. 2017 kl. 15.41
Found a bug. Heirs for empires using your set of dwarf portraits always use the white bearded male portrait regardless of gender.
Malthus  [skaper] 19. des. 2017 kl. 12.29
Yeah saw the portrait, looking good on its own, but it lacks customization, just one hair/beard style for both genders and the armors look not dwarfy enough for my taste. Just sad that the original creator of these portraits here is not working on them anymore.
Usersekhmet 19. des. 2017 kl. 12.25
paradox stole your idea
Malthus  [skaper] 27. nov. 2017 kl. 11.10
They actually looked good, just a bit too high on the screen in my opinion and they should have some more dwarfy clothes and armors, but you can't have everything i guess ;)
Malthus  [skaper] 27. nov. 2017 kl. 8.39
I just tested it again and everything is fine for me.
Malthus  [skaper] 25. nov. 2017 kl. 10.10
Hmm they didn't look like this the last time i started the game. My guess would be another mod causes this. Can you try it with just this mod and see if the result is the same?
Malthus  [skaper] 8. nov. 2017 kl. 21.44
Ah thank you, I totally missed that entry. Should be working as intended now.
Darrien 8. nov. 2017 kl. 14.13
If you want them to show up in game and not be randomized empires you have to use non_randomized_portraits = {}
Malthus  [skaper] 8. nov. 2017 kl. 8.29
Ok should work now, but there is a drawback. They might also show up as random generated aliens with these portraits which I did not want. But randomized = no also seems to deactivate custom empires that are set to force spawn...
Malthus  [skaper] 8. nov. 2017 kl. 8.10
Tested it and got the same result. Have to look into it and see if I can find out, why it does not work on forcespawn.
coffinbag 7. nov. 2017 kl. 23.17
Much like r34p3r, for some reason when you make a custom species for the dwarves, but you do not play as them, they do not spawn in the galaxy.
MemeMagikal 22. okt. 2017 kl. 10.00
For some reason my custom dwarf empire won't show up in games.
Malthus  [skaper] 17. okt. 2017 kl. 0.46
You are right, the dummyfiles for other languages were missing, putting them in right now.
