This mod definitely needs a come back, The advent flamerthrower mod is nice but the void for a xcom styled light flamethrower primary is filled only with this mod.

Excuse me, but I seem to have a problem... When I attempt to run this mod, it crashes upon entering a game. Main menu works fine. Any help?

FYI It is totally possible to use this mod, Iridar's Weapon Skin Replacer and the ADVENT Flamethrower Mod to have a working version of this model in WoTC. Paste the following into the Weapon Skin Mods Config: "+WEAPON_REPLACEMENT=(ACCEPTOR_TEMPLATE=ADVENTFlamethrowerConventional, DONOR_TEMPLATE=FlamerMod_CV, COPY_DONOR_ATTACHMENTS=True, HIDE_ACCEPTOR_ATTACHMENTS=True, HIDE_DONOR_TEMPLATE=True, HIDE_DONOR_SCHEMATIC=True)
+ANIMSET_REPLACEMENT=(ACCEPTOR_TEMPLATE=ADVENTFlamethrowerConventional, DONOR_TEMPLATE=AdvPurifierFlamethrowerMP, REPLACE_WEAPON_ANIMSETS=True, REPLACE_SOLDIER_ANIMSETS=True)" and then enable all 4 mods in your launcher.

What you get is that the Conventional tier ADVENT Flamethrower usable by X-Com in that mod now has the appearance of this flamer, without having (as far as I've found thus far anyways) any buggy animations caused by this mod not originally being made for WoTC.

I'm curious if someone could combine this mod with the Advent Flamethrower mod to make a whole weapon with different appearances at different tiers.

Like with the LW SMG or the Hunter rifles from the Advent Pathfinder mod.

So I have graphically gotten this to work just fine; I have the missing fx mod, so I suspect that is necessary. However, it definitely has odd animations for WotC, at least. Too bad, because I think the way they did the flamer compared to the Advent Flamethrower means it actually counts as a weapon shot for most abilities. Plus the awesome model.

also should be noted ADVENT Armory adds the Purifier Flamethrower. might be able to swipe some code from that with the WoTC mod tools to make it not bug out like the previous commenter said it does.

Ok so i can yes this definitly works with WOTC you can equip it the model shows up how it should. However when used at least for me it shoots out blue and white grids and makes my camera go into a top down view for the rest of the mission I used the flamer on.

Oh, and I dunno if it's intentional, but it stills shows a cannon as the picture for research & costs the same as a cannon upgrade.

The animation works but at the end the soldier stays stuck for a cpl seconds with the flamethrower pointed awkwardly. There's also two identical flamers in the inventory, & two entries in Engineering to upgrade, one marked as squad upgrade and one not. The squad upgrade didnt work for me, wasted the supplies & the flamer/s didnt upgrade tiers.

hm I'm not sure what the issue could be, as far as i know its more or less stable. Would be weird if your OS caused the crash, but stranger things have happened.

So I was messing around with this since I loved the original, and whenever I try to equip the Flamer it causes the game to crash. No logs show up, no error message, it just freezes and boots me back to the desktop. I'm on Linux, so that could have something to do with it.

Hey, I'm back again. So I actually got a chance to test it and it would seem that even despite changing the values in the .ini for the flamer stats, it doesn't reflect in-game regardless cone visual matching it or not. This is regarding range and radius of the flame rather than damage as that seems to only be applied.

I'm typing this while in the middle of that mission where I had my Specialist use the flamethrower thinking that it'll reach the line of ADVENT flanking her even though the cone visual says otherwise. Nope! Didn't reach them. :) I guess I'll just to figure out how to get myself out of this mess...

im not entirely sure whats causing it, some people have been having crashes, some people havnt had any issues. Im hoping once we get the animations fixed gets that fixed for the people who are experienceing it

Ah, that's really good to know. Hopefully, that get's sorted out. Also, another thing I'm curious about. I read a bit in the comments and there's mention of crashing. I would appreciate if you could tell me what's the gist and cause of the crashes. So far, I haven't had a single crash with the mod. But I also read it has something to do with Assault's Run'n'Gun? Never used Run'n'Gun with the Flamer before.

hey ober, the range of the template doesnt change, but the range it fires does...im not sure if i can put the template range in with the other editable stats

So, I'm curious about this. While your default settings for damage, range, and cone radius is all well and good, I edited it to my personal liking (of course, not in the most cheaty way possible). However, despite having these configurations, it would appear the changes aren't reflected in-game. The flamethrowers simply remain as is per default stats.

I want to note that I have only used the Heavy Flamer only once but just by looking how minimalistic the size of its range and cone makes me believe my settings didn't stick.

who cares who is the leader, its just they can animations, and its a small fix...just put ObeliskDK or fireborn in the searchbar
