StrayHALO_MAN 2.2.2021 klo 21.31
How would I get this to only work for the Argonian race but not any vanilla ones?
Matt Freeman 14.1.2019 klo 12.13
V No it only makes the default races have this ship if you want a non default race to have this ship you can always make a character with this ship then swap it out with the character you want to have this ship
DJ_Indominus 23.12.2018 klo 15.47

LordDragon_309 5.12.2018 klo 17.18

LazySpaceRaptor 8.7.2017 klo 16.29
Cool mod, and I want to use it, but not having different models for the tiers kinda bums. Maybe it will have individual tier models in the future, but idk
Amily 8.7.2017 klo 0.16
Late on clearing up questions, but the obviouse ones right now. You can make this for diffrent races if you know how. It will not ruin your cheracter if you delet the mod: however, you will have to delet your ship world for that cheracter or else it will keep the ship from this mod. If you do change this for another race, just follow the steps to change the collor of it as well.
If you make it for a different race, link it or whatever ship you use to the origonal mod.
warmainiac 27.6.2017 klo 16.06
is this mod compatable with race mods? i mean their is like 9 ships yet vanilla has 7 races
Mommy♂ Astolfo 18.6.2017 klo 21.23
So can one make this for a custom race? I wanna set this up for Vespoids.
Wizard of Woe 22.5.2017 klo 16.34
alright thanks man
Knox  [tekijä] 22.5.2017 klo 14.36
Changing ship colors requires unpacking the mod (the guide still works fine) and switching around the image files within the ship's races folders. Unfortunately there is no easier way to do this, but afterwards repack the mod and place it into your mods folder instead of Steam workshop's default location.
Wizard of Woe 20.5.2017 klo 19.59
Hey Knox, I was looking on the forums about this and havent seen anyway to change the color of the frigate, by anychance would you happen to have a link to a tutorial on how to change the color or perhaps just a brief explanation (Or an in depth one)? I tried the guide you linked to but from 2014 and probably using a different version of windows than I am.
Knox  [tekijä] 14.5.2017 klo 22.22
The mod will change a player's ship only when upgrading the ship to a new tier. If you got rid of the mod, your ship will be missing and must be upgraded to return it to one of the vanilla ships.

For a pre-existing character, you must upgrade your ship to a new tier to be able to override your old ship and get a new one via mod. Be sure to pack up any furniture and items from your old ship, otherwise they may become lost during this transition.

This is unfortunately the way how all Starbound ship mods work, it's usually best just to use a new ship mod for a new character, and stick to that without changing things.
refocused 12.5.2017 klo 15.05
if i downloaded it, and then got rid of the mod would it delete my charas?
Cozy Pie 6.5.2017 klo 15.35
Question: I am new to ship mods. Will I be able to apply this ship mod to my pre-created characters, or will I have to create a new character to use the Advanced Frigate?
warmainiac 14.4.2017 klo 16.49
is this mod compatable with race mods that add in NON vanilla races?
CookedNeko- 6.4.2017 klo 13.26
Any other mod like this? I like the design and everything but I kinda need more space > . <
Rathlon Tobias Riverwind 13.3.2017 klo 16.08
I think the best way of using this mod is to get it off the community forums.
This way you can pick what color you want to use.
I for one will go orange, seeing that there is no magenta color.

Knox  [tekijä] 14.1.2017 klo 20.55
@CobraCommando you can unpack the mod, delete the race folders you don't want to use, and then re-pack
CobraCommando 14.1.2017 klo 11.18
Can you make it so i can jest have the frigate enabled for jest a few specific races so i can keep my old ship on some games and use the frigate of others?
-=LCS=- nevermelt. 12.1.2017 klo 18.37
How come I can only use the first room still?
Pyr 11.1.2017 klo 16.04
is there a way to make it for modded races?
Rhendox 28.12.2016 klo 21.12
The mod worked after I erased everything in my SHIPWORLD file, so if anybody is having issues making this mod work, move all of your furniture onto a planet and then wipe the contents of the SHIPWORLD file. I haven't discovered any side effects, but if I find any I'll make sure to warn you guys.
cynicaleden 25.12.2016 klo 11.20
i tried that method cmd either "could not find path" or "c:program files is not an executible, batch file, etc."
Knox  [tekijä] 25.12.2016 klo 8.42
There is a link in the description to a packing/unpacking guide.
cynicaleden 24.12.2016 klo 23.37

cynicaleden 24.12.2016 klo 23.05
i couldn't get the files to unpack would you mind posting the process please i've been trying for the last six hours to no avail
Knox  [tekijä] 24.12.2016 klo 12.17
I would say first, make sure you're properly packing/unpacking the player file into a .json before editing, then convert it back. Directly trying to edit the player files will corrupt the file. A long time ago I read a nifty guide on how this works, but unfortunately I can't seem to find it again.

If this isn't the case, then there's probably some other line of text that needs to be changed resulting in conflicting information, making the player unloadable (rather than corrupt). One way to test this is to create a new player, and attempt to edit his ship to tier 4 or 5 at the start of the game, working your way backwards. But again, I don't have enough experience with this and I'm only guessing at this point.
Rhendox 24.12.2016 klo 11.20
I've gotten around to opening and editing it, but I've noticed that some of the file is not acutal text. I'm using Notepad ++, and those parts show up as, for example, DLE, BEL, ACK, BS, etc. I've found that those are command codes, and the string that I find next to "shipLevel" is EOT DLE BEL, which reads "end of text," "data link escape," and "bell." Data Link Escape basically commands whatever is after it to be raw data instead of another command, and therefore I presume BEL would stand for 7, and both it's hex and decimal values equal to 7. Once I tried to set it to anything but BEL, like ACK, which would be 6, the player would simply not load. Only BEL works to load the player. Do you know if something is wrong here?
Knox  [tekijä] 23.12.2016 klo 21.46
This is a tricky situation, one that I can't help with. Your starbound player stores its ship files seperately from the game's files, so the mod itself cannot change your player's ship without initiating a ship upgrade. The only way I see this being possible is to somehow edit your player's files to go back down a ship tier, then try upgrading to the new ship. However, it's a bit risky editing player files in the first place, but it should be possible.

You would essentially need to backup your starbound player file, then convert it to a .json, which you'll then be able to edit directly in a text editor, without corrupting the file. In the end, it's all trial and error at that point, but it definitely should work.
Rhendox 23.12.2016 klo 18.37
So I just installed this mod, with my ship being the maximum vanilla tier. I cleared out all of the furniture before getting the mod, but once I started up the game with the mod installed, the ship remained the same. I believe this is due to me not upgrading it, and because I already have it at the maximum tier, I cannot upgrade it further. Can you help?
Knox  [tekijä] 27.11.2016 klo 19.16
@AnonymousReject I can answer any questions you might have about editing the mod, feel free to add me on Steam.
KiberVolk 26.11.2016 klo 12.59
@Knox, could you show me how to do the renaming of it so I can get this to work for the Felin Race? Please and thank you!
Hesspresso 15.11.2016 klo 23.23
@Duskstrike
If you're still having difficulties, let me know. I've got the glitch varient frigate working with the Umbreon race, so if you want a few tips I'll gladly help.
Neire 13.11.2016 klo 5.43
@Duskstrike It's not immediately obvious, but getting these ships to work with mods may be really hard due to mod load order; local mods load before workshop mods, so if your race has a custom ship, the previous ship you had setup would get overwritten.

There are some ways to force mods to load after others, but I haven't managed to get them to work. Basically, I would recommend unpacking your race mod, deleting their ships folder and then unpacking this mod and renaming the ships folders and files.
Duskstrike 12.11.2016 klo 22.17
i may be an idiot or something.. i could not get it to work for the life of me. i've learned how to unpak and pak files for the first time though
