Why does this need to be on the server? Can't you store the effects of all the in-game food and just display it? I'm already using Food Spoil Bars and that works when only on the client, but it would be awesome to see what buffs/debuffs a dish has at a glance as well.

@Code Phoenix[WD]: Yes it should do so. The spoil time is saved within the item itself and this mod just reads the data. It doesn't matter where the item is stored.

Do you plan on updating it? Because as it stands now it is all but useless when using it with FU. Pretty much everything is unknown.

Guys, got someone an issue with this mod? I see "-" sign instead of food amount on prepared food, but at raw vegetables and fruits i can see exact amount of food.

I the past I added the support for all FU status effects and in case when an effect can not be identified it comes this message to prevent issues. That means that FU added some new effects which are unknown to Improved Food Descriptions currently.

I've ran into an issue where the spoilage time wouldn't show up on the food desc (for vanilla) and I don't know what could be interfering with it.

Have issues with this mod. After installing, there're no descriptions, and all my red apples from my fridge are gone. Perhaps it's incompatible with the mod "No Rotting Food".

Generally the mod's safe to use on preexisting save, from experience. It will NOT work with Frackin mod suite due to how their stuff was shuffled around.

Correct. Little further below is the decision made regarding FU because of the rework that FU did and it being unduly time consuming for Neo to fix.

I don't know any mods out there nor your active mod list.
Remember, Improved Food Descriptions can only handle vanilla effects and effects from mods that using vanilla effects as base. If any mod adding completely new effects I cannot know the mod where the effect is coming from.

Unknown means that the effect comes with another mod which is not defined in Improved Food Descriptions.

I meant how do i discover what food effect is good or bad, because now it doesn’t says the what the effect is instead it says “unknown”.

Nothing wrong with the decision. If anything, glad that it'll still work on base contents along with FU anyway. I guess we'll just have to figure out the effects as we go now or have someone work on the wiki and such.

Hey starbounders!
I looked into the current incompatibility problem with Frackin Universe...

It seems a lot (and I mean A LOT) of the effects are changed in the files of FU. The whole internal structure is now completely different, which means my effect handling from the past is almost obsolete for FU. The only way to fix the problem is to rework the whole lua script.

The answer is simple: Nope! I will not spend again precious hours of my life to update this incompatibility disaster with FU. In the past I tried to keep this mod up-to-date with FU but not again, not anymore.

I guess I'll remove the FU stuff entirely from Improved Food Descriptions. The benefit of this will be that you can use both mods together, without any incompatibility issues. Only the tooltips from FU items will not changed to the Improved Food Descriptions version. This mod should not be the one that completely breaks FU every time FU gets a new update.
