The flying of the cars has always been like this, it's about the game as a whole and not a DLC.

Would be nice to have the symetric garage...
That way you could make a long garage with ramps at bothe ends.

@ffzein Its an issue with all parking garages, or more specifically, how vehicle travel the most direct distance. There is a work around with Road Anarchy (thanks for @Emiricol4Rl)

I just discovered how to fix the "flying cars" issue where they fly up to the parking spot. Use Fine Road Anarchy or similar; place a road "stub" right where the entrance will go; place the garage *over* that road stub, with the entrance lining up over the stub (which is now hidden). Because cars use the shortest path, they'll appear to drive into the entrance, and you won't see them fly up to their spot anymore.

One weird thing i noticed recently is that cars fly towards the top floor. Using airports DLC, so not sure if there is an incompatibility issue. Same goes for the other garages.

@Wr, I had noticed that too, the last time I plopped this asset.

I noticed that cars use only 10-20% of the space available in your parking lot assets. I play with realistic parking option on TM:PE and these garages are almost empty despite the fact that vehicles struggle to find parking in areas I place them. It's not a "stupid vehicle AI" issue because car parks from other creators were easily filled up with cars to 100% in the same areas

Works fine. Thank you.

Hello, bro. Thanks for sharing it but I met some missing parts (White Lines in the Parking Garage) of the mod. How should I fix it?
Baldeagle 2 Apr, 2020 @ 4:17am
I use this a lot

So I was looking at placing one of your garages in the city I'm working on when I noticed something. Your small garage holds 600 people, your medium holds 340, and your large one holds 300. Seems like you got the small and large garages backwards.

Either that or their in-game descriptions have wrong info.

Love seeing cars drive into here.

"Place the structure in an area with lots of cars already parked along the side of the road. Upgrade those roads to ones with trees or grass. Cars will now teleport to the garage."

It you use the "Move It!" mod and move parking lot/garages -- including "moving" it right to where it already is -- nearby parked cars will teleport to the lot/garage.

make it with working car parking, both actually

rlly cool if you do to see trucks and stuff parked for traffic jams to be fixed
SmokingCookie 16 Jul, 2017 @ 2:17am
@Weaver racing cars through this is entertaining :P
Weaver 1 Jul, 2017 @ 5:22am
Er, why does this provide entertainment at all? O.o
Gerishnakov 27 May, 2017 @ 7:33am
Does this building accept visitors? I don't want cims using it to fulfill entertainment needs; it is just a car park after all.

@Trendy & rocko > You're both correct. American English > Story describing both a tale and a building level. In British English Story and Storey. Pedant-ism is great but make sure you have your facts straight before launching ;)
TrendyMagic 14 Mar, 2017 @ 3:10pm
@rocko6alex Storey is the correct way to identify a level of a building or structure.
wavesssss7 3 Aug, 2016 @ 8:30pm
you spelled story wrong its story
kx 23 Feb, 2016 @ 1:37pm
One of my favorite assets thanks for this
Tarsis 20 Jan, 2016 @ 6:07pm
It seems the curved side has no collision. If we plop on a zoned area, buildings will grow into the garage.
GCVos  [author] 18 Oct, 2015 @ 1:35pm
Yeah lol, that happens with all parking lots. Peeps will always takes the shortest route to a spot, which usually means they turn into DeLoreans.
Darth Modus - God of Richards 18 Oct, 2015 @ 9:06am
@Physbook - that's just the Jetsons trying to find somewhere to park. xD
Physbook 18 Oct, 2015 @ 2:16am
found that cars will fly up to their positions.
GCVos  [author] 10 Oct, 2015 @ 11:39am
Thanks for reminding me, I had totally forgotten this one!
Finwickle 10 Oct, 2015 @ 10:39am
Will you update this with lighting? It's a bit too dark right now at night.
Scam Likely 26 Sep, 2015 @ 6:22pm
Aaaand now I have nostalgia. Great looking city, and the garage too.
Breeze 17 Sep, 2015 @ 6:52am
I like the Sunken series. Thank you.

You'll see the Sunken Mall in the screenshot below. It's SimCity 4. It's the city I made.

Looks like a good method, I was actually thinking about making some kind of sunken shopping center. But for a parking garage I imagine you would only see the entrance ramp like that.
Breeze 15 Sep, 2015 @ 4:24pm
You are good ideas. So I wanted to inform this method
Breeze 15 Sep, 2015 @ 4:21pm
The park was created when I first learned modeling. This made using the Sunken Plaza templates. This is not a problem.
I just want to know how you make in the basement. :)

GCVos  [author] 15 Sep, 2015 @ 2:59pm
Thanks! It's a cool idea and possible, but isn't the whole point of an underground garage that you don't see it?
Breeze 15 Sep, 2015 @ 9:44am
Your work is all good.
Have you ever create an underground car park?

It is possible using the Sunken Plaza templates.
GCVos  [author] 3 Sep, 2015 @ 8:58pm
Lolol, cracks in ALL zoning :D @ Agusing: Thank you, that model is rather crude though, it definitely needs an update (especially the textures) so I might revisit it at some point.
krash65 3 Sep, 2015 @ 12:36pm
Cracks in "MY" zoning? Blasphemy!!! :D
agusingnavy 3 Sep, 2015 @ 12:36pm
@GCVos, great stuff, but your best parking garage (and the best at the workshop) is the square one. If you make a 6x4 version (6x8 back to back) that would be so cool. Thanks anyway.
GCVos  [author] 3 Sep, 2015 @ 11:06am
Thank you, yeah I thought this would be the perfect type of structure to fill those cracks in your zoning. :)
krash65 3 Sep, 2015 @ 10:56am
Great idea, very innovative. I love that this can fill in some of those "lost" spaces!!!
