1. save the game
2. enable "development mode" checkbox
3. enable "god mode"
4. resurect the dead pawn
5. set to statue in the selection menu
6. DO NOT SAVE THE GAME, instead, load the old save
Now the dead pawn will be in the archive list
You can now make statues of your held entities, so give that shambler a try, if you still have them
This will probably be the last update I make for Rimworld 1.5, unless there are bugs to fix.
@seobongzu
Thank you very much for the pedestal textures, they look way better than mine. I incorporated them into this mod.

I use a function called "SpawnedColonyMutantsPlayerControlled". Either Shamblers aren't mutants or your shambler isn't under your control. I guess. I haven't played a whole lot of Anomaly.
@Reisen
So you only want the texture to be reloaded or also the meta information?
I have looked into reloading textures, but have some confusing results where the reloaded texture isn't reliably applied, at least to existing statues, so no guarantee. You might have to just restart your game for it to be loaded.
I also wrote down that I want to do multi-pawn sculptures, but that's very far off. I don't even have a concept of a plan yet.
@ everyone who wants grand statues: They work theoretically, but they need a bit of code to work satisfactoy. As I'm currently taking a break from Rimworld, progress will be slow.
Weapons on statues are also still on my ToDo-list, but are more in the 2026 territory 😅
Could you add a button to refresh the archive?
I'd like to be able to edit the rendered pawn texture externally, after making 2 snapshots and merging the two pawn images onto a single statue.
Statue graphic is copied from pawn the moment you click the button, so dead pawns are a challenge. I added a text to the mod description. I hope that helps or is at least informative.
@Duckpower2017: thanks, though I have to say I do like Statue of Colonist's system, as it was customizable after the fact and had less risk of running your PC out of (V)RAM. And had basically none of the downsides my implementation has. But it requires more knowledge of RimWorld's rendering system than I currently have, especially if you consider mods that change pawns' appearacne, so that's what you get 😜
Anmial statues are also planned but also kinda depend on improving how statues are actually displayed.
Thank you for this magic
