Also instead of deleting starting army of portugal can you instead change the starting army of portugal?
I play with the 1.5x mod on, so that initial starting army will be gimped, might as well save the money.
I am close to releasing a version (save compatible) that is one file combining these mods and files into one. I just have to get the presentation screenshots and graphics squared away. Need to milk that time on the Recent tab. ;)
Fuwuvi's AIO mod adds a bunch of mercenary ashigaru. I could either add those, with slightly higher upkeep, or I could just lower the Besteiros to militia level upkeep. The word means Hunters, and they kinda suck anyway.
I am playtesting morale changes for land battles. Basically, making units fight longer and cascade break less. This is supposed to be challenging! The battle AI is not that bad in S2. Dynasties man, worst battle AI eeevvveerrr. Great game but the battle AI just blobs.
Making new units takes a little longer, and there already is a Teppo Medium Bune: the tower bune. I may make a Teppo Sengoku Bune though to be a good option for running down and actually beating Portuguese Merchant Caraval (which are still quite powerful with 25 matchlocks)
Right now I am trying to collate this into one big mod file. After that, I will have a much easier job adding and changing things.
Teppo Bunes? to the second-level Power Maker building? To get earlier access to Teppo ships Waiting for level 3 takes quite a while.
Teppo Nihon Maru and Teppo Ataka Bune. They are what they sound like.

I just checked the files, there is no reason for the sound to have stopped. Maybe have steam validate the game files,unsub and resub to the mod?
I dont know if I will ever try to fix the vocalizations...probably not. I also have tried tried tried and cannot figure out how to make the Portuguese generals and Merchants have fully Portuguese names.
I balanced it for Legendary and 12 Turns Per Year, but it there shouldnt be that much of a difference Long vs Short campaigns. Those are more affected by the economy and stuff, and that is mostly Stock FCS (except for the Portuguese).
This fist turn crash occur no matter what load order I have, it is the result of just the FCS + expanded japan combination. Furtunalty I can get over it.
Last question : is you compatch like FCS meant to be player on legendary + short campaign ?
I hadnt been using the Campaign Remaster mod. I tried with that, game crashed when I clicked on the Matsudaira/Tokugawa army nearest the Oda. A-hah! That has to be it! So I turned off the Campaign Remaster: No crash. Then I turned the Campaign Remaster back on: no crash.
So this is gonna sound odd but, you can replicate the crash? Cause I dunno...try again? Also try ending your turn without clicking on another army and try then on the 2nd turn.
If you want, give me a full list of all the mods you are using when getting the crash and I can try replicating that.
--Also Fuwuvi has the load order for my FCS Compatch and Tweaks wrong. Tweaks should be between the Compatch and the stock Field Command Sengoku. But I also flipped the order and tried to replicate the crash and didnt.
I've unchecked most of the mods, I only have FCS + expanded japan.
I am not familiar with Fuwuvi's newer list, I dont use all of those mods, but I can download that whole list and try it if I know what crash I am looking for.

every time I check the tokugawa force, the game crashes, I've uncheck every mod one by one to find the problem it's seems that the combination of FOCS + expanded portugal (or japan) is the orgin of the problem

I have put out a full battle system overhaul for Total War: Pharaoh that takes a lot of inspiration from Chewie's brilliant work on Field Command Sengoku. I think it's very fun!

Shows how important those formations are to the game engine! Shouild be fixed now.
I may have just missed a stat equalization with the FCS system.

Use this instead of the regular compatch file. Please lemme know that it all works, from what I could see the main override was from Field Command Sengoku so I just took all the diplo/prestige tables from EJP and plopped em in this.
Should be savegame compatible. Man I've been working on Pharaoh and the newer games lock savegames to need packfiles that dont corrupt savegames, it's obnoxious AF.

You will find unit stats in two main places:
db > units_tables
db > unit_stats_land_tables
I hope that is the information you need! Which settings do you want to change?
