@Permy134 there could be several reasons why an AI is unable to leave a federation no matter how much it wants to. If its a hegemony the fed president has all the power and not allow it. Also in wartime no member can leave a federation. And there is also a possible that maybe two members hate each other a lot, but the fed vote to kick a member out is continously declined as the other fed members like the to be kicked member too much. Even if u dont manage to get a fed to break up, at least the smear campaign leaves a lot of cohesion damage to the fed levels.

The mod is now updated to 4.0. It is now also possible to use the "prepare invasion" spy operation without needing the bodysnatcher civic.

smear campaign barely doesnt really do much for me. even after 5 campaigns in a row they are still in the federation. any idea why?

I'm grateful for this mod. In fact
vanilla spy missions were really just for roleplaying, since they consumed precious influence and had low success rates, and even if you succeeded the benefits were weak
But that's no longer the case
(although I think it's too OP that the cost of adding such a buff, even with Overdrive, is only around 50-100 energy)

@Dr. Nolegs the recovery is already increased twice as fast, as the negative opinion was increased. So in case of smear campaign it starts with the mod active at -500 and ticks down by 6,25 every month (80 months until modifier is fully gone). In base game it starts at -80 and ticks down by 0.5 each month (160 months till modifier is fully gone). Both are decaying faster with factor 1.5 if relations get improved via envoy.

smear campaign has a way higher negative opinion modifier and damages federation cohesion

-500 is utterly crippling when the AI does this on you, could you either reduce it's effectiveness, or drastically increase it's recovery?

-500 with 8-12 opinion per YEAR is just a bit much, most of the other changes are cool enough.
