@MichalPl111 Cash Register is not my mod, but I pretty sure there is a medieval version of it, so without electricity.
MichalPl111 21 Jun @ 6:36am
Can you make cash register work without electricy? or a variant called "cash counter"
Adamas  [author] 26 May @ 11:20pm
@salt miner that sounds like a mod conflict would help if there would be an error message
Adamas  [author] 26 May @ 11:19pm
@Kenny only hospitality guests use the store
Adamas  [author] 26 May @ 11:19pm
@WeAI I noted down the bug in will have a look
salt miner 25 May @ 11:07am
doesnt work, guests just haul the item infront of the cash register and leave
Kennyzaiix 11 May @ 9:01pm
Was it possible to have pass by traveller to buy in store without guest bed?
WeAI 7 May @ 7:18am
The restaurant mod seems unaffected,
WeAI 7 May @ 7:17am
Wait, I seem to have noticed that the number of items that the cash register can display is limited. I used a stacking mod, so one compartment stores over 2000 pieces of meat, which seems to take up most of the cash register's detection capabilities. The cash register only displays a few items. When I marked this shelf as not allowed, the cash register displayed items from other rooms normally.
So is there a chance to get a fix for this bug?
WeAI 7 May @ 7:09am
The range of the cash register seems to be ineffective, and the items on the storage rack in the adjacent room will not be detected
Haperski 1 May @ 5:28pm
My dude, have you seen the steamdb charts ?
The active player base for Rimworld keeps going up the older it gets, and it peaks around once every 15 months for some reason.
Adamas  [author] 1 May @ 10:04am
Hey Rimworld is almost 7 years old, why do I get more subscribes on my mods everyday? Anyway, sounds like a few nice enhancements I can put into storefront. I'll see when I get around implementing them.
:D 26 Apr @ 1:32am
Is there a way to automatically open the shop only when visitors are present?
Haperski 23 Apr @ 1:28am
Woah, Why do I just found out about this mod ??

Is it possible to make a patch with Vanilla Trading Expanded so that when guests don't have enough physical money they can wire it directly to the banks from Vanilla Trading Expanded ?
Orion  [author] 11 Apr @ 10:32am
If noone shows up you can invite factions via comms console as a last resort. Happy groups come back sooner.
Toxickun☢Von☣︎Volkov 11 Apr @ 6:10am
Sorry if this has already been mentioned before. But what can i do to get more visitors/guests
Or is having one entire room full of beds not a good way to attract more guests;
WebSurfer420 #TF2 18 Feb @ 2:17pm
dude why tf wont these retailers just sell shit on their own SEPARATE ASSIGNED registers?
Martin_Rage 15 Feb @ 7:23am
I am getting these errors when visitors are trying to buy from a pawn on duty.

I have a question, can I set the selling price? Also, it seems that visitors still prefer to use their original consumption methods rather than using cash registers for payment (I have already opened a store)
Adamas  [author] 11 Dec, 2024 @ 12:34pm
@Safety Commissioner in the work tab, you should see a new work type called "Selling", you have make sure you have that ticked for the pawn to be able to assign it.
Safety Commissioner 10 Dec, 2024 @ 5:38am
How do i assign workers? it says they are not capable, i cannot find anywhere what the requirements are, i have seen several comments asking this ignored, What is the answer buh
Adamas  [author] 16 Nov, 2024 @ 10:07pm
Its safe to remove. Just close the store first to be sure no pawns are doing any shopping or standing by.
jkuk3 16 Nov, 2024 @ 1:35pm
Is it safe to remove this mod from an existing save? btw great mods you create.
aef8234 5 Nov, 2024 @ 12:26pm
So I think I figured out the incompatibility reason with SoS2, it's that whatever worktype registers give creates a cascading error because of how SoS2 does ship "launches" (I think minifying everything and then just putting them in a new map, saving almost everything about the pawns/buildings) meaning that the shifts are transferred but the actual "shop" and cash register isn't.

The current solution I've been doing involves deleting all the shifts and then the register itself but it isn't perfect. Is there a way for you to kind of do something like that when a ship launches?
jodywhiteholz 3 Nov, 2024 @ 5:27am
Ihave just finshed my storefront and pressed open with the cash register but when i tried to assign a colonist it said "doesnt do this kind of work" for everyone but none of them have the lack of social. does anybody know whats wrong?
xVALERAx 18 Sep, 2024 @ 9:52am
Was ment to ask if social impact does have a bonus on selling quantity?
Adamas  [author] 5 Sep, 2024 @ 11:39am
@Zensay, the radius is configurable on the cash register
@Bic, it is inside the cash register, there should be hauling job to haul silver from the register to a free storage area for silver from time to time.
Bic 4 Sep, 2024 @ 4:30pm
Where does the money spawn? i only get that i sell the item but my silver storage is still the same as before, i have watched it a couple of transations but it does just not spawn for me. I more or less give the stuff away
Aerosalvo 2 Sep, 2024 @ 1:55pm
Is the radius in which customers buy stuff configurable in mod settings?
Adamas  [author] 31 Jul, 2024 @ 11:17am
@Johnny Silverman - should be fine to add, at least no reports of weird stuff when adding midgame
@Remor - just visitors, the ones from Hospitality
@JoeOwnage - you are welcome.
JoeOwnage 31 Jul, 2024 @ 9:52am
This is free content, AI art is fine. Thanks for the mod Adamas.
Remor 10 Jul, 2024 @ 10:54pm
So u can only sell items to visitors? or do caravans also buy things?
Johnny Silverman 5 Jul, 2024 @ 4:23am
Safe to install mid-playthrough? Pretty sure adding jobs is safe but removing is absolutely not, but just want to make sure
Geneva 5 Jul, 2024 @ 2:02am
why would you even care about AI generated pictures lol. as if your opinion had any value on the internet
Devsona 4 Jul, 2024 @ 7:17am
Yea, this is exactly what AI art is perfect for. Small little thumbnails on hobby projects that would just have no graphics at all otherwise.
Braincell 2 Jul, 2024 @ 9:06pm
Tbh AI art for small things like a thumbnail for a mod is not a problem
ked 14 Jun, 2024 @ 7:13pm
@adamas That would be great to see. Whenever I see AI art used for a mod it just makes me sad, so having the community send their own screenshots would be awesome.
Adamas  [author] 12 Jun, 2024 @ 12:45pm
@FrozMossFren since I hardly play Rimworld myself, other than dev mode playtesting and suck at building anything nice to look at, I will do a little shout out to the fans out there :) If anybody has in-game screenshots of a store/shop please send them to me via discord !
⚛🐱FractalMischief🐱⚛ 12 Jun, 2024 @ 6:06am
Probs a fine mod, can't believe no one's complaining abt what LOOKS like AI art tho. Absolutely repulsive; use a real image to represent the mod.
Sándwich #BringBackQuickPlay 11 Jun, 2024 @ 8:29pm
can i make a Gun store now?
✪Kurosendo 27 May, 2024 @ 12:37pm
thanks. time to be rich :emotxxl4:
Bird 27 May, 2024 @ 12:33pm
@adamas hey that's awesome!! thanks very much for fixing it! My sanity is saved :)
Adamas  [author] 27 May, 2024 @ 12:24pm
Should be better in the new update. It was an obvious bug  The selling price calculation used the base market value of the item without stats. Not the calculated market value taking into account the quality.
Cruel Moose 26 May, 2024 @ 9:08pm
yeah values seem way off. Pawn with Social 20 sells a grand marble statue legendary for around $1000ish where any trader will pay $3000ish
Adamas  [author] 25 May, 2024 @ 11:23pm
Hmm, does not sound right. I will look into it
✪Kurosendo 25 May, 2024 @ 7:05am
Why do my guests buy so many items so cheaply? I had a masterwork cloth cloak with a market value of 444 silver, but the guest bought it for 195 silver. My active staff has 16 social skills.
Adamas  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 11:59am
Prices are determined mostly by the social skill of the pawn selling. Next update you'll be given more info on the cashier window about what price items roughly will sell which will help.
donut 14 May, 2024 @ 12:53pm
How are the prices determined? Recently a 9500 credit item was sold at a store front for 177 credits.
Beto 6 May, 2024 @ 5:23pm
My pawns can buy from the store or only guests?
Adamas  [author] 2 May, 2024 @ 10:36am
Selling animals does not work. Storefront works with the cash register, which has a radius. Everything withing this radius will show up as for sale.
The shopping zone of Hospitality just works as before and does not affect storefront or vice versa.
