Not sure if this is because of a conflict or what.
Then, I researched Stellarite (ACOT), and the same FE got pissed at me. After that, my game performance tanked, locking up every few in-game days. My best guess is the FE was trying to declare war, and the spoofed federation prevented it and the game didn't know how to reconcile it. Every save file I had after researching Stellarite was ruined and the one from before was still functional.
Moral of the story, be careful who you backstab, and why.
The tradition trees seem all very good and feel like they would make for some crazy empires interactions. ^^
Just take a look at the store page, you'll see how many complaints they're getting right now.
Encountered the same bug and verifying game files is what fixed the issue for me personally.
It's also one of the steps Paradox recommends.
But even if it was due to my mod, I wouldn't even know how to fix that. Especially because it's working just fine on my end. It's not like I'm overwriting any game files here.
I do agree that it could be the new DLC just being weird :D and sometimes just not working.
Let me know if anything seems broken!
Additionally, I've slightly overhauled the Galactic Solidarity Resolutions as well as the Social Commonwealth and the Intergalactic Soviet Federations.
The way I played was to federate early and anyone that would not federate change their ethics through war then either invite them or vasalize. Because of this I got to a tier 5 common wealth only to have it replaced by a tier 1 intergalactic soviet. It would be nice to have the galactic soviet start at the same level or even 1 less than the proposer's federation because it felt like a downgrade.
It would be nice if much the rest of the traditions they had a little bit of flavor text rather than just the mechanical benefits.
Thank you for your work this has quickly become one of my must haves.
