This mod is dropping sim speeds we have profiled this mod and it showed 50k ms on the instance server owners use at your own risk. Removed it and have had no issues with sim speed. We have powerful hardware.

It would be really cool if decompression sounds could be added to the game somehow
camelprince5408 13 Jul, 2024 @ 12:25pm
This mod gives me brain damage
PaladinSage 4 Jun, 2024 @ 8:03pm
please update this mod?
SellTheWorld 26 Feb, 2024 @ 9:37am
Is this mod working as intended or are there issues?
Admiral 13 Jan, 2024 @ 8:49pm
has anyone else run into an issue where opening a door in space only sends you flying once after placing? i was able to recreate it several times by removing and replacing the door?

thanks!

@Mophise Do you pressureize the room by pumping in air from the outside (by having a vent on the outside set to depressurize)? Because as far as I know, it's normal Space Engineers behavior that it creates a bubble of lower pressure around the grid. Usually, this doesn't mean much, but combined with this mod, you suddenly realize that this bubble exists. AFAIK, you can do it the other way around too: On a planet where you JUST barely can't breath, a vent set to pressurize out in the open creates a small bubble aaround the grid where you can actually breathe. If I'm not wrong about this, that's vanilla behavior.

And one more discovery: if there's no weather, a reload of the game without removing the vents fixes it, too
Mophise 8 Nov, 2023 @ 1:23pm
After some testing, it seems that pressurising a room on a planet makes the area around the room that's considered to be part of the grid looses air pressure, so you end up with a low pressure bubble around the room. To fix it, you have to remove all the vents then reload the game.

Just want to highlight Grebanton1234's comment.

When on planet, you need an airtight and pressurised room to be safe from hazardous weather. The problem that I run in to with this mod, is that it throws me out the door when I open it even though there should be equal pressure on both sides of the door (vent-pumped room / planet atmosphere)

Perhaps a planet atmosphere check, like the water mod check, would fix it?

lol. LOVE IT!

Me: Downloads mod
Me 2 seconds after opening a door in my starter base: YEET
EsuZeno 26 Jul, 2023 @ 10:23am
does it work in space or only planets?
Goose 26 Jul, 2023 @ 1:12am
the comment below mine is funny
SuqFuqMaNeets 30 Jun, 2023 @ 4:12pm
now do it under water....
Xalreth 18 May, 2023 @ 6:59pm
i had to remove this from my server becuz if a NPC ship would become depressurized it would drop my servers sim speed to 0.5 for about 10mins
TrueAvarus 1 May, 2023 @ 10:40am
Fuck yeah, weaponised airpressure
Sausage 27 Apr, 2023 @ 10:43pm
Leak finder 101, right?
Iris The CatBee 22 Apr, 2023 @ 4:36pm
This was the coolest thing SE used to have before planets. I was told by a dev that it would never be added back. Thank you!
Grebanton1234 18 Apr, 2023 @ 9:46am
Hi, I noticed that you get pulled out of the door even if the outside is a oxygen filled atmosphere. For that to happen it is enough to have an unpressurized but airtight ship. Is that something you could fix?
Rude 16 Apr, 2023 @ 10:53am
This game will never cease to amaze me...

There are some games that are plain well done. We all know SE is not one of them but it's modding capacity... it's better than Skyrim

Amazing mod and amazing work
DrBossWatson 15 Apr, 2023 @ 8:12pm
This was working well before the update now I get pushed in the wrong direction. On a dedicated server.
XXL9001 15 Apr, 2023 @ 4:19pm
this would be a fun mod if not for the depressurization bug...
FolkpunkFerret 14 Apr, 2023 @ 10:22am
Very fun mod only issue is getting my ears blown out by my friend who forgets to depressize the airlocks 10/10
Visentinel 24 Mar, 2023 @ 1:37pm
there must be something wrong with my test station, its working correctly on a ship... nevermind.
Visentinel 24 Mar, 2023 @ 1:34pm
lol its pushing me in the wrong direction, im been sent inwards aswell as floating objects.
In Space !
Sypress 20 Mar, 2023 @ 2:50am
Been having some DS issues where our sim speed would plummet below 0.5. Ran the profiler on Torch and discovered that 'DangerousDecompression' was eating up 65ms of sim time per frame for some reason. No idea why.
{ZET} Inflitor 18 Mar, 2023 @ 9:22am
When used on earth it dosent realise that outside and inside atmospheres are equal and kill evrybody when opening a door....
.MemeMan 14 Mar, 2023 @ 9:29am
This caused my cockpits to endlessly decompress when powered, I do not know why, I removed this and only this from my load order and the issue did not show.
Z3ROXxtrem 11 Mar, 2023 @ 1:04pm
I dont know how to set have an Hangar 8 x 8 x 10, 5 air vent , set to depressuraize before open hangar door.... and i get projected 180m away like a .001kg puppet... have make the /dreset and try some different setting and allways the same result
Thomas_Aquinus-Solaris 10 Mar, 2023 @ 7:50am
Finally we can flush insubordinate clones out of the airlock
Splendid!
LoneShadow084 7 Mar, 2023 @ 10:34am
Yaaay. More Realistic-ish destruction for my worlds now.
Jakaria  [author] 28 Feb, 2023 @ 3:33pm
Fixed the crash. Not able to reproduce the performance issue.
Tiberius 27 Feb, 2023 @ 5:36pm
@ Jakaria just making you aware that this mod causes issues on dedicated servers. It crashes the server when a decompression event happens, or lags it out to the point of forcing a restart.
FireFox 22 Feb, 2023 @ 11:00pm
In other words it works like the first time they introduced oxygen and air tightness. No idea why they removed it.
Straxxie 21 Feb, 2023 @ 1:04pm
its the fact that i mentioned a few months ago that we needed a mod like this, and low and behold, it pops up a few months later, thank you for this, now I can watch the enemies ship be torn in half by physics :)
Abisius Xarvenius Carbensius 15 Feb, 2023 @ 10:51am
is anyone else havin probs with performance while using it?
i have a difference of 1.00 simspeed without and 0.85 with it in use.

atm iam trying to figure out why that happens.
Starkye 6 Feb, 2023 @ 10:32am
The mod is a great concept, but brings too many apparently unrelated problems. as someone else said this mod caused that when an NPC ship came near to my base (apparently) the game bugged out so much that drills didnt work and if i tried to exit it froze without saving. Removing the mod fixed all issues and brought back a lot of TPS
SolarFlare1234 5 Feb, 2023 @ 1:16pm
one of the three greatest crimes keen has committed was removing this feature in the first place
shumbalion 3 Feb, 2023 @ 12:12am
I'm seeing conflicts with a lot of in game scripts, where they just start to fail to run correctly in the programming block. At one point picking up hand drilled ore was also near impossible. Its a fresh world, removing this mod fixed all my issues right away so.. Reading other comments suggests its just stressing the games system a little to much and making issues. This also lines up with what I have experienced from overloading the game before. I hope you can fix <3
Big-Boi5564 2 Feb, 2023 @ 3:00pm
Why isn’t this in the base game. That’s how depressurization works irl, right?
weberspy 30 Jan, 2023 @ 7:39pm
I feel like this is backwards right now, when I open a door it pushes me back, even if both sides are vacuums, this only seems to happen in vacuumed rooms as well.
Jakaria  [author] 30 Jan, 2023 @ 7:05pm
I was able to reproduce it, working on a fix
I sawed your boat in half! 30 Jan, 2023 @ 6:42pm
yes, I have been having crashes with this mod as well, seems to happen when placing blocks in a pressurized room, or when placing a block that turns a room from depressurized to pressurized. not EVERY time but its happened 3 times within an hour.

however, I have had no crashes with the actual depressurization event itself which is nice
Storm 30 Jan, 2023 @ 6:27am
I agree, the game should definitely work like this!

Unfortunately getting some crash bug in there somewhere. Got it placing an Armored Conveyor Block ( from that mod ).
Exception occurred: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

THIS SHOULD BE IN THE DEFAULT GAME i think
=WW= Rebel 28 Jan, 2023 @ 8:47am
I love it how this is a mod of the removed feature the game had

back in the day we had decompression mechanics. if you were in a door or near a door and opened it, you'd be pulled out depending on the pressure and size of the room
BloodyMad 27 Jan, 2023 @ 12:36pm
For some reason, the mod causes my game to drop my frame rate. . . Imma remove a few mods and see if it'll help but yeah. Love this mod tho, one of my favorites!
Starprime 27 Jan, 2023 @ 8:31am
i love this
