It should not do anything to interfere with that, but I couldn;t rightly say for 4.0. I am waiting until the next major gigas update where they integrate the Birch World properly into 4.0.
I don't know if there is an achievement for them, because I haven't seen either in any of my modded games, let alone an ironman achievement playthrough! Rumour is next major patch lets you select precursors, so that might happen.
My goal was to let you know about the two newish precursor chains and to get it on the development plans for the future.

I am done with dev for this for a while.
As a bonus, a while (5 year pulse) after you get the relevant ascension trait, a new archelogy site will spawn that lets you dig up the info for leviathian traits. There is a separate one for gene or machine traits, depending on your AP. (both will spawn if you are using All Ascension Paths).
The quiet little ZOFE compatibility code around a full birch has been removed until further notice. Aka I play an entire game and get to test it.
