I am pleased to say, at a generic science icon was added in 3.8 and I have included it below the other science icons.
It wasn't because that wasn't in the text images. It might be now with the leadership changes so I will have a look.
If you don't fancy finding invisible characters, hit the random name option that will completely replace it, then re enter your preferred name.
Great mod by the way. It really helps me easily see planet specializations I use (energy, food, etc.)
Acting as intended or bug?
Issue: while trying add a "target" prefix icon (4th from the bottom), planet name return to blank and rename dialogue become unreachable.
Solution: reopen this planet again, don't click anything, ~ to call the console, type following codes:
effect set_name = name
then press enter, now the planet can be rename again.

I had missed the original mod completely and this revival will help me immensely in remembering which specialized planets have which specialization.
