@Wisp - Yeah, shouldn't be a problem with that.
Wisp 17 апр. в 8:20
a month late but can this be removed mid-game or nah?
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 19 март в 20:18
@GEO - Yeah, that's outside the scope of this mod but my Civil Wars mod does basically that for exclaved sectors. That aside, in this mod exclaved planets don't go away.
GE0 19 март в 18:00
I just read a little bit on your Civil War mod, not sure if that addresses the thing I was thinking of but I'll give it a try just for that reason
GE0 19 март в 11:57
Out of curiosity, would it be possible to make a version where, if there's enough resources for sustainability, to potentially just go independent instead of collapsing? Not familiar with Stellaris modding so no idea how hard it would be to code something like that.
DominateEye 28 ноем. 2024 в 5:54
Fair enough. Thanks!
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 26 ноем. 2024 в 20:14
@DominateEye - Not possible to really determine if a system can be reached via jump drive, so not something I'm willing to account for. If you want to keep an isolated system, just build a habitat in it or something.
Jamie 26 ноем. 2024 в 10:33
AI doesn't use jump drives
DominateEye 26 ноем. 2024 в 6:36
Sounds like a great idea, but as you say in the description, exclaves could be supported by empires that have jump drives. Is there any mechanic to check for this technology and stop the 15 year timer for only any empires that have that technology? If not, does that sound like a feasible addition to the mod?
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 1 окт. 2024 в 18:50
@chrisperos.com - I have run this mod hundreds of times in games and simulations and I have never seen an issue with expansion.
chrisperos.com 1 окт. 2024 в 18:07
Took me several hours to notice but this mod actually prevents the AI from expanding, particularly from attacking really small hostile fleets and exploring the galaxy. Also subsequently makes it so the galactic community doesn't form until mid-game.
Cross Dimensional Joke 28 септ. 2024 в 20:49
I apologize for taking so long to respond, I did not see the response. I was using ancient gateways from the Ancient Empires mod. I was placing them all over my territory because they seemed to be gateways that only I can access. I had a separated section of my empire containing multiple systems but no colonies that was connected via these ancient gateways, but I lost some systems despite that. If I recall correctly one of the systems I lost contained the gateway itself.
The mod also creates event systems that are isolated from the galaxy, some of which were getting removed.
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 9 септ. 2024 в 12:28
This mod does account for gateways, but maybe modded ones are weird. Theoretically it should account for those as well, though. What mod adds gateways that are acting weird?
Cross Dimensional Joke 8 септ. 2024 в 21:58
Does this mod account for gateways? I feel like gateways, which extend your influence, should also prevent exclaves from disappearing. I don't think this prevents gateway systems from disappearing, or maybe it doesn't account for modded gateways(some mod that adds gateways that act the same but they are private).
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 2 авг. 2024 в 19:28
Yeah, its based on civilian ships being able to access the system so it can be a little weird sometimes.
TheGrandN 29 юли 2024 в 12:54
It gets even funnier a few months later. So... with the loss of my defense citadel, before I can even rebuild the outpost, my enemy on the other side declares war! I've now lost about 1/4 of my systems as my fleets were on the other end of the empire because.... we have a citadel there, who'd be dumb enough to fight that? :lunar2019crylaughingpig::lunar2019crylaughingpig::lunar2019crylaughingpig: :lunar2019laughingpig:
TheGrandN 29 юли 2024 в 12:45
Have a game running here (test game actually) where I've lost 2 system directly on my border. (In both cases I had multiple intact hyperlanes with full access to the systems.) The cause seems to be the prolonged presence of those asteroids that pop up for pre-FTL societies. If the asteroid sits there for too long, I get a message saying "we don't have access ot the system" which is... funny.

Less funny on this last one though as I had just completed a citadel in the system. And it was my border defense system. Now I'm wide open for attack. AHEM. :lunar2019laughingpig: :lunar2019laughingpig:

Wrong, the AI is definitely affected. If someone else reports the same, I'll consider it a bug but last, I checked, it was working fine for the ai
黄油炖牛奶 11 юли 2024 в 2:00
But the AI is unaffected.
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 1 юли 2024 в 19:34
Yes.
JG2400 1 юли 2024 в 9:04
If I have a non-sectored wormhole that can reach a sector capital through said wormhole, will that be safe?
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 9 юни 2024 в 12:54
Hmm, that's a vanilla bug that hopefully get fixed. I'll look into a solution for that.
Aphyxia 9 юни 2024 в 5:55
This "not in a sector" thing became a hinderance. I lost some territory and a part of my territory became separate. The territory had a planet, BUT since it was within 5 systems of my capital, I couldn't make it a new sector. Didn't even take a year for me to start losing systems there.

Updated. No changes made.
Who Am I? 30 окт. 2023 в 22:27
@MrFunEGUY, right.... Idk why but that flew past me when I was reading the desc dmn. Thnx and sorry for dumb question.
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 29 окт. 2023 в 21:33
Just make it a sector. As it says, sectors do not get taken away.
Who Am I? 29 окт. 2023 в 19:40
Say a planet exist in one system that is cutoff from the capital will it be able to sustain neighboring system's starbase if yes how many can it support or is it just its own starbase?
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 26 окт. 2023 в 18:43
Yeah that would do it. That will still do it if you don't have a sector capital on the other side of that choke point.
Roxanne Wolf 26 окт. 2023 в 18:35
Ah yeah, a pirate fleet set up a base at one of the chokepoints. I'll see if it works now.
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 26 окт. 2023 в 18:33
Well, if they have access to the capital, this wouldn't happen. Likely there is some hostile ship blocking a ship from safely getting from the capital to those systems. Regardless, I've just uploaded a more elegant solution that checks the system against every sector capital, which is closer to how I intended the design and is a better implementation.
Roxanne Wolf 26 окт. 2023 в 18:10
Yeah, they aren't in a sector but they are connected to the capital. For now I'll just disable it.
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 26 окт. 2023 в 18:03
If they are not in a sector, they need to be reachable via a route from your capital. There are some edge cases where this is an issue, and this sounds like one. I'll look into a more elegant solution.
Roxanne Wolf 26 окт. 2023 в 17:53
Randomly around 10 of my systems, all of which were connected to each other and were not exclaves, disappeared one after another with the message that they were not connected. Not sure why that happened, was fine for the first 80 years of the game.
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 19 окт. 2023 в 16:20
Ok, it likely was actually broken, but I believe I have fixed the issue.
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 20 септ. 2023 в 14:27
Just tested and the mod definitely appears to be working for AI. I feel that it just may take a longer time than you guys realize.
FrozenParagon 3 септ. 2023 в 13:18
pity, but... hrmm, maybe i'll try to fork that in on my own
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 1 септ. 2023 в 13:22
@FrozenParagon - Outside scope of mod, sorry.

For everyone else, this mod works with AI. I just checked. Everything is working fine.
FrozenParagon 22 авг. 2023 в 8:59
addition request: when i'm forced to make outposts in systems with remote digsites i'd love this mod to remove said outpost if the digsite is completed whenever it does it's exclave czech regardless of wheter or not there's open hyperlanes to the capital or not, but of course if it's in a sector or colonized it's fine
Magos 10 юли 2023 в 6:43
Do stargates affect this mechanic?
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 2 юли 2023 в 11:48
I'll fix it in Late August/September :)
Diamond 1 юли 2023 в 1:45
Can confirm that this longer works on AI
Bluetail 30 юни 2023 в 9:49
I would pick up this mod but if it doesn't effect AI then it doesn't make sense to pick up since I hate border gore myself but that comment saying it basically doesn't work for AI... Curious.
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 7 май 2023 в 10:57
It does. That is odd.
Doviena 7 май 2023 в 10:27
Does this not work for the AI? Had a Pre-Ftl arise and grab a system on the other side of one of mine before realizing it didnt auto close borders to it like everyone else,as I was playing an Isolationist. Closed borders, and it still owns the system over 50 years later
CTH2004 1 февр. 2023 в 11:18
fair enough
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 1 февр. 2023 в 9:15
The aesthetic aspect is that I don't like how small little one-system blobs look.

It factors in planets as well.

Don't plan to do anything with enclaves. This mod is simple, and the plan is to keep it simple.
CTH2004 1 февр. 2023 в 8:49
great on the first 2!

However, how exactly is that aestetic? Aesthetic is looks, and this seems much more than looks
Also, does it include/ factor in colonies that aren't in sectors? I.E. if I colonize a planet, but don't make a sector, it pops up as "frontier sector". Does it count that as an "enclave", or will it now stay?

Finally, just thought of this! What about vanilla "enclaves". They are basicly self-sustaining NPC stations. So, what if, assuming you have a diplomatic contract with them, that can sustain the station, the idea being that they are helping you! Just another thought!
MrFunEGUY  [автор] 1 февр. 2023 в 8:35
Yes, it factors in gateways and wormholes.

On jump drives, you're probably right, but I'm not going to change it. This is more of an aesthetic thing.
CTH2004 1 февр. 2023 в 6:52
does this factor in gateways? After all, if you have a gateway in the "enclave" system, you could send rescourses to them, even if they aren't connected via hyperlanes.

And, what about wormholes? Same thing

Finally, once you have jump drives, shouldn't this no longer happen?

Just some thoughts!
