the gravel turrets don't work at all, it dose not accept any ammunition at all can we please get a fix for it please love this mod but it dose not function or work for our early game we are using populated worlds AI enabled NPC's for active combat

Potential (temp) fix for the gatling sound crash that works for me (so far...).
navigate to Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\2655062502\Data\Scripts\CoreParts\Turrets and open LargeGatlingTurret.cs
Locate FiringSound = "ArcWepShipGatlingShot", Should be line 117.
Replace it with FiringSound = "WepTurretInteriorFire",

Hopefully the crashing stops afterwards.

Well actually it could also be updates to weaponcore, or a combination of both... At this point IO is getting old fast and unless Clockwork comes back it's just going to cause more and more problems till its completely unusable :(

@K.Hunter I've been doing some testing and i build new gatling gun and turret each time I load the game or world and it still crash when trying to shoot. I've been rebuilding them more than 50+ time and sadly I get the same crash. Now that you mention the update, I might try to go back before the update to see if it change anything.

@Smirnov yeah it seems to be happening since the latest game update(s). Logs say it's somehow sound related, and I was able to get them working without crashes on my end by deleting and rebuilding new turrets, but later on a friend of mine started crashing when the same turrets fired even though I was fine... I'd still recommend giving it a try and see if that helps

'AutoCannonTurret' causes critical failures, as mentioned below. This can be fixed by opening the mods local files and deleting all instances of 'AutoCannonTurret'.

At least, worked for me. Save file is stable and no further errors.

Is it intended that the gatiling gun ammo explodes? It makes the gatling guns do too much damage

Little help please i have WC 2.4 mod and when i place some turrets i get red error and turret disappear after 60sec

Still causes whole game crashes when trying to control the small grid autocannon turret. Also causes weaponcore to hide in a hole whenever an AI tries to use them.

I keep getting a "Critical Error" and the debug menu pops up when loading the mod, dosent seem to matter if its above or below IO any ideas on what could be the issue, trying to use it on Ares at War

@Anomoly That's easy to configure with the WC server config file. You can change things to whatever you want. :)

I enjoy to IO mod a lot, but I would really like to see an increase in range for the vanilla weapons to be more in line with other weaponcore weapon mods. i.e. autocannons to 3km, but that an easy fix to modify the config files

It's been a long time since I reported issues with this mod and things have changed on my end since then, so I have to drop an updated comment. I didn't know enough about WC back then, and I realised most (if not all) of the bugs I mentioned were likely due to WC itself and weren't specific to this mod. WC has received a ton of updates since then, but I've also just come back from a long break from the game so I'm not sure if they're all fixed. Long story short though, this is still a really good mod. The guns are very well modelled. And yes, there are a few issues still specific to this mod (like the autocannon mentioned by others) but other than that, nothing I would say gamebreaking. I should also mention that when I realised I can customise a lot of things related to the weapons and ammo using the WC configuration file, I became a lot happier :)

Yeah, small-grid autocannon turret just doesn't work and will make the whole game crash when you try to control it. Needs a hotfix.

Trying to control the small grid autocannon turret crashes the game. This is repeatable by starting a new world with camera panning, weaponcore, industrial overhaul, and this mod (ordered from bottom to top).

How come most weapons make no sound when fired? The only one with working sound so far is the vanilla gatling gun.

Also the laser weapons create a lot of explosions on impact with any blocks (but not voxels) and these are really loud.

WC appears to crash whenever I place the small autocannon turret. WC reported this modID to the screen, and I found this in the WC debug.log:

08-18-22_22-04-35-505 - PlatformCrash: AutoCannonTurret - Your block subTypeId (AutoCannonTurret) Invalid barrelPart, I am crashing now Dave.
08-18-22_22-04-35-506 - PlatformCrash: AutoCannonTurret - Platform PreInit is in an invalid state: AutoCannonTurret
08-18-22_22-04-50-300 - Logging stopped.

Steps to produce: start a new empty world, survival mode and offline, with 3 mods in the load order: WC, this Mod, and IO.

Verified all game files and re-downloaded all mods. Running the workshop fix as well. This appears to be the only weapon that has an issue.

It's not just the animation actually. They really do fire and will damage other grids in their way unless they are quickly turned off (turning off & back on again fixes them... lol) . And since I left that last comment, unfortunately light lasers have started doing it too on some grids.

Oddly enough it doesn't seem to happen with all grids and I don't know if it's a coincidence but it seems grids with just a few lasers seem to never have this problem, while grids with more lasers seem to almost always (sooner or later) get this issue. It seems it might not always show up the first few times around, but it will eventually surface. And after it happens to a grid once, it seems it will always happen again each time they fire after that.

I'm having the same issue as K.Hunter & Brommas; the point defense turret laser impact animation plays after the laser has stopped firing, and the animation persists until I fire the laser manually (at the sky, so it doesn't generate a new persistent animation on the ground)

Have a new issue where if using the "correct" load order, the Vanilla Railgun will not work, it shows as a conveyor block.... Only work around i have found is to move the Load order so that WC loads last (top of list SP, Bottom Dedicated) Tested on both.

Having an issue where my lock and load turrets are firing at a spot on the ground after destroying a target. I have resolved this by turning the turrets on an off after the threat is gone. Any one else having this issue ?

ngl @Clockwork168, as a ship builder, i really appreciate how much you update and keep updated your Industrial Overhaul mods. Keep up the great work, it really makes my job 1000% easier to keep a lot of these corporate builds up to date. :)

I've fiddled with how this module replaces the vanilla autocannon turret, should hopefully help solve any problems with them

Either this mod or IO is causing autocannons to crash WC and make most of the vanilla weapons inoperable, I've checked and double checked and it comes down to your mods, any suggestions? Proper load order, no other mod conflicts, everything done correctly. Still doesn't work. Halp pls :(

Hrm... so after some testing, I can run the vanilla wc weapon replacer + weaponcore and control the autocannon turret no issue. It seems to be either something with this replacer and/or industrial overhaul that is causing the CTD.

Clockwork - out of curiosity, is the Autocannon CTD a problem with WC itself, or would it be related to this mod? Logfiles are pretty sparse on info unfortunately.

Updated for game version 1.200
New vanilla weapons have been added to the replacement, and the damage of PD lasers has been increased.

As a note; the way Keen set up the Autocannon Turret means it doesn't play well with Weaponcore. I've had to replace it with a new version, so you may have to rebuild any existing Autocannon turrets for Weaponcore functionality

The point defence lasers are still the only lasers that can shoot meteors and missiles, and they still suck. Honestly, I've been forced to play with meteors off ever since L&L became a thing. I'm really grateful we have WeaponCore integration now, but PD lasers really need to be tested against meteors and buffed accordingly. They're really just expensive and worthless right now. I'm not even sure if they work correctly, because half the time they don't fire at all at things supposedly within their range & angle.

I REALLY want those dome shaped laser turrets (been looking for a simple laser turret like that forever in SE) but do I also really need to install the Industrial overall? I mostly putter around in creative, so I'm not worried about having to craft ammo or anything like that. I just want to be able to slap the turret on and have it work.

You know, had I seen the warning at the top of the description, I would've traded out the WC vanilla mod for this one, instead of trying to force them to work together. Turns out, this one and the other actually do work together, but a file in the CoreSystems folder or something tends to throw errors right on booting into the world. That'll teach me to read the description warnings.

Removed this mod and added the mod "Weaponcore Vanilla Replacer", the missile turret accepts the 200mm missiles in the inventory and fires them. So the problem really is with your mod :( I will revert to your mod because I really like the other guns. But man, the Missile Turrets... :steamsad:

The weapons of your mod are great! Would love to see a fix for the missile turrets. Could fix a lot of NPC interactions! Thanks!

I can't produce ammo for Missile Turrets(Tried munitions factory AND mod comp. assembler). Seems like they use 200mm missile containers, but they don't shoot it (in the item description it even lists only the handhelds as capable of using it)

Even had problems before with drones spawning with missile turrets and being incapable of shooting them(They were using the 200mm missile containers on inventory, so I tought it was the wrong ammo and the drone BP was wrong and removed the mod).

Now that i'm trying to build those turrets in my base, I think it might be this mod, it's the only one that should replace vanilla ones with weaponcore compatibilities...
