My friend, the author of the Galactic Imperium Origins, once had a greate plan to create a mod about the conflict between the galactic emperor and the revolutionaries attempting to overthrow him, filled with blood, conspiracy, ideals, and sacrifices. I am very sorry that the version supported by that mod is stopped at v3.8, and he is no longer free enough to continue updating that mod.
I am considering taking it over for maintenance.

Let's be honest. Those who use this mod are already the elite of Stellaris, who like increased complexity and immersion in political intrigue. Therefore, the more complex the system of struggle for power, the more interesting it will be.

@AltoidsMaximus Haha, for players who want to challenge themselves, building a centralized imperium is no longer as easy as before.
However, the parameters I set have not undergone sufficient large-scale testing. You are welcome to provide feedback after actual gameplay!

Making the emperor far more difficult would be an amazing edition. It usually baffle me that I make more and more centralized positions as the Emperor but everybody seems to be happy... I imagine certain styles of governments like authoritarian+xenophilific might be more interested while xenophobe empires might be more against a centralized emperor. Those things can be added to increase the realism of a possible galactic civil war.

@Tribuno That's a good idea, a difficulty option will be prepared for you to make AI more inclined to vote against the establishment of imperium, and the opinion modifier "dictator" who votes against it will be more severe. In addition, AI will use espionage operations more aggressively to weaken the imperium. Is this good enough?

I would like the mod to be more difficult. The Emperor does not need to make life easier, it is necessary that there are conspirators, traitors, and traitors around. Forming an empire should be very difficult and it is necessary that all 10 favors from each state are used and the level of relations is at a high level

Galactic Expo bar is bugged in the same way as the House of Representatives was. It's not crashing the game, just isn't progressing in any way.

I have identified a bug that prevented the automatic deployment of the envoy from truly producing results, and I will promptly fix it. In addition, I will adjust the parameters to make unfriendly AI less willing to oppose the emperor.

@GnoSiS Since the Galactic Paragons version, envoys sent to the community have been replaced by delegates, and in that version, AI would not send their delegates to strengthen or weaken the imperial authority. Therefore, I designed a system that automatically strengthens or weakens the imperial authority.
Hover over the strengthen or weaken authority buttons in the Imperium interface to see a list of countries currently performing this action. If it displays as 'Country Name: (2)', it means the country is using the vanilla action. If it shows 'Country Name: (2/4)', it means the country is performing an automated action.
"2" is the actual investment of a country in strengthening or weakening the authority, depending on the country's opinion towards the emperor (the willingness to strengthen authority increases by 1 every +60, the willingness to weaken authority increases by 1 every -20); "4" is the country's delegate skill, which is the upper limit of action effect.

Hmm its drawing the imperial authority support envoy count, from the community assigned official as per his effective level...
But it's impossible to keep authority up against even a few opponents. this has no scaling or relation to envoys or diplomatic weight. So it's easy to become emperor with weight but impossible to maintain authority with just an official, even if he's level 10.
Oh boy... just add a documentation note for this

Also the number of delegates? where does it come from? The interface states I have 5, but It doesn't match my officials 8, nor does it match the envoys 11. And both of these were not assigned or they were doing other stuff.

@GnoSiS Can you provide a more detailed description of the problem you encountered?
Is the expected effect calculated based on delegate's skill not synchronized with the numbers displayed on the interface? (For example, the strengthen value will be added onto the display value after clicking "Cancel Strengthen".)
I think I used a complex set of calculations to ensure that the display effect is consistent with the actual effect.

@alfharobby Well...separating this mechanism into subsystems is not a good idea for me, I guess... From a coding perspective, it is very troublesome, and many players using this mod will suddenly find their imperial governance situation has disappeared, resulting in save data corruption.
But I will try to improve AI and give AI Emperor a cheating bonus that is enabled by default (which can be turned off in the settings).

However, you can have a try. Although both mods may have some features that won't work, I don't think there will be serious compatibility issues.
