the issue of invisible blocks rendering upon loading effects large grid structures as well.
I have validated game files and deleted the shader cache and it still has not resolved the issue.
Unfortunately, I do not recommend this mod in its current state.

These look fantastic! Though, I do wish there was simple 1x1 small grid variants that matched the size of the standard small 1x1 window panes. The 3x3 (small grid) as the smallest makes some complicated small grid designs complicated.

I just realized, as I was looking for a different issue, that I asked the same question as like 20 other people. Idk how much people are willing to read but having a bugs section specifically for the window loading bug might help.

It's a bug with the base game that I unfortunately cannot fix on my end. It's been reported to Keen but there hasn't been much progress on it. The problem is that it's different for each user - even if I opened your savegame with the issue, the bug would not appear for me.

For some people, verifying the game's files has helped, or deleting the shader cache.

When loading a world from save window on small grid becomes invisible. Any idea why/how to fix?

That was done with the window mounted on a hinge, i.e. subgrids.

i was wondering if you ever considered making a frameless window block mod that removes the outer edges and possibly also the dirt textures from the vanilla ones, similar to the one you made for armor blocks.
building a small grid cockpit feels borderline useless as it is because so much of the view is obstructed.

as a side note i just want to express how much i enjoy your AQD collection, it covers almost all things i find lacking in the base game. absolutely brilliant and lovingly made

depending on what you removed it might still be there because dependencies are not listed in the modlist. For example if you're still running a mod that adds a research tree and depends on the research mod.
Aside from this the mod does not have any progression to it outside of the vanilla one, which I'm assuming you've turned off.

I adore the way these look, but the bounding boxes makes it hard to create practical cockpits using them - at least short of using subgrids and running scripts to allow controls still etc.
Could there perhaps be a version where the windows are cut into smaller pieces which could then allow for smaller bounding boxes and as such control seats that are a bit closer to the windows?

Unfortunately not. The bug appears differently for different players, so if I tested it on my end the same thing won't happen necessarily. It's a bug in the base game that is triggered somehow through this mod.
Keen has advised me to have people delete their shader cache and let it regenerate. Unfortunately that hasn't been entirely reliable either. But if you wanna give it a try, you'll find it in %APPDATA%\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\ - the folder is called ShaderCache2

So on my saved world. The textures go invisible upon EVERY load up.
The only fix to this is hit F5 or paint them a different color along with just replacing the blocks.

Is there a way this info can be used to fix this problem?

Yeah, unfortunately that's a limitation with the game when blocks are specific sizes.

there seems to be a symmetry bug with the 1x2 triangle, its offset by one small grid unit

I can bypass this by using copy paste but it's still annoying

It's a general problem with some blocks in mods. Been reported to Keen but nobody has found a reliable way to reproduce it so far, since it depends on the user's computer if and when it happens.

For some reason with some AQD mods (e.g. this one, the conveyor one etc) there is the problem that after quitting and restarting the game the models and textures of these mods are invisible when you load a save and the only way to 'fix' it is to grind all the blocks down and re-weld them.

Any idea what could cause this behaviour?

Best...mod...ever!!! Making Rocket Ships just got 100x more realistic! If I had money to give I would give it, it that awesome! It's the perfect size in small grid too!

That sounds like steam downloads are fucking up again. Nothing I can do on my end to fix that unfortunately. (I tested it and it works perfectly)
Try unsubscribing from the mod, then restarting steam and resubscribing. It helps in some cases.

Downloaded this and only got the 2 1×2 triangular windows regular and offset. The rest did not show up in search. Not sure how to rectify this

Ok I encountered a strange problem. I generally play offline since my internet source is crappy, so I had to manually copy my mods into a folder, so this one is called 2486269122 by default. for some reason when the folder for the mod is named 2486269122, my game can't load a world with it enabled, it can make new ones but not load them, but by changing the folder's name to AQD - Reinforced Windows, I can load up saves with it enabled

Can you add 1x1 flat invert, 2x1, 2x2, 2x3, and 3x3 flat+inverted blocks Please? I like these windows and want to use them for stations and such but larger windows end up being a spam of 1x1s and requiring armor panels to properly make airtight/attach to the grid.

It's most definitely a SE problem, yes. The issue is figuring out what triggers it to then be able to report it to Keen in a way they can investigate and fix. :-)

i believe the invisible problem is an issue with transparency in SE, i have found other mods share a similar problem of SOME not all window blocks are invisible until going very close. problem stops occuring when replacing block.
out of the ones that have problems, i use this one the most. From recent comments it seems like others are too, so fret not, im about 60% sure its an SE problem and not a mod problem

@Jawnycat: Experienced the same issue with Axe's Greeble mod. I haven't installed this mod yet but the easier (temp) fix is to recolour the block (forcing it to update, and in the case of Axe's stuff, it pops back in).

Welp, the consistent 'change to invisible on load' has stopped being consistent the second I go in with a troubleshooting mindset. First whipped up a empty creative world to test just this mod naked and no issues there, everything visible as expected no matter what.

Then created a copy of my current playthrough world in creative so I could test copy/paste, I had phased the windows out of my designs in game due to the annoyance of having to grind/weld every load so had to switch back to them; they stayed visible through save and load but strangely the first window I placed while re-adding was placed invisible.

Wish I hadn't removed the ones I had had placed when I was having the issue so I could troubleshoot this better for you. Was unable to test copy/paste on an affected grid, though I do remember them being invisible regardless of angle or distance, didn't seem to be view culling or whatever it's actually called getting confused and not rendering them.

It's likely not a mod conflict but an issue with SE itself because no aspect of the blocks I added can really cause this. They just trigger the issue in SE for some reason, most likely.

Could you see if the angle you look at it somehow makes a difference? Also, does copy + pasting the grid make any difference?

I have the same issue with blocks going invisible, tho I run a pile of mod soup so it may be a strange conflict?

On loading a world all reinforced window blocks that were placed in it, of any shape, are invisible. Newly placed blocks are fine till the next load, and grinding down a stage then welding back up un-invisibles effected blocks.

There will be an update for this which will include the 1x1 and 1x2 triangles missing from the set but I haven't started work on that yet since I decided to take a break from modding for a while to recharge.
