I THINK PAYING MODDERS FOR THEIR WORK IS A GREAT IDEA.
WHY? Because it takes a lot of work to create an awesome mod. Not only that, it would open a much wider door to personal request. Motivate good modders to become better so that they can create even more amazing things...after all, a painter needs paint, brushes and canvas!

However, many mods are unstable and that would create havoc for the author and/or Steam...that being said, one can only assume that it would end up like on ebay; where a persons reputation determines their success.

I donate on the Nexus.
Go paid mods!

Keep up the great work : )

If you have not read Bethesdas bolg about this please do. It was not about being greedy, but rewarding modders which Bethesda instead named "developers" for the years of work and dedication. A chance to make this little "hobby" of ours into something more. I don't want to incite a debate here simlpy responding to you John. I'm in the forums if any wish to discuss this with me please find me there.

@JOHNSMITH11 I also feel forcing people to suddenly pay for a mod that was previously free is wrong. Unless you could provide enough new content to justify the price of a paid version but never a the sacrifice of the free user. look at how many phone apps have a free trial version, and a paid version with more features. I do see how doing this to an already existing community would not work. Hopefully with future games this can be given a fair shot. Sadly I feel the protest will be just as strong. People boasting about winning will surely be back, my only hope is if they have enough time to mature before then.

Personally, I think that it's a little weird to have mods be free for almost 5 years and then just making it to where you have to buy some of them... but If you make a mod that you think is good enough to sell, I think you should have every right to do it :)

@JOHNSMITH11 Cool idea, Sadly I will not be posting anything new for a while. I will not take anything down as that is not fair to the good people who have been kind to me. I will keep modding for myself. But I feel so betrayed by the users who protested my right to sell my artwork that I see no reason to share anything I make with them.

Dear UberSmaug, I was wondering if you've considered making a Werewolf variant of this sword. I love the Mirror-Like texture on the blade, and I love the way you made the hilt of the sword look, but I was curious if you could make a variant that has a wolf on the hilt instead of a lion.
UberSmaug  [author] 25 Apr, 2015 @ 12:38pm
@Deal with it, Bruh! Thanks, if you decide to go ahead with your own project I would be happy to advise and give you feedback. Best of luck Bruh.
Dwombol 25 Apr, 2015 @ 11:37am
ok thx btw great mod
UberSmaug  [author] 25 Apr, 2015 @ 10:38am
@Deal with it, Bruh! um so you want to hack up my work and twist it???? Im gonna have to kindly ask that you don't do that. If you want to make your own diamond armor thats fine, but don't be lazy, make it yourself, make it different, and make it good.
Dwombol 25 Apr, 2015 @ 2:42am
by that i mean using things like tthe interlocking plate forms with a slight twist of design
Dwombol 25 Apr, 2015 @ 2:41am
i sketched a paper of it but i don't know how to show paper on steam as screenshot
Dwombol 25 Apr, 2015 @ 2:41am
such as taking a couple of the aesthetic designs from the diamond armor
UberSmaug  [author] 24 Apr, 2015 @ 9:55pm
@Deal with it, Bruh! How do you mean?
Dwombol 22 Apr, 2015 @ 8:34pm
ubersmaug may i use your armor design idea for a mod i wanna make?
concretemonk 2 Apr, 2015 @ 1:11am
Hey man, thx alot for the info and your timely reply
UberSmaug  [author] 1 Apr, 2015 @ 1:09pm
@concretemonk no hircine quest does not need to be activated. The sword is on a weapon rack on a landing as you go up the stairs just before the area where the oath blade is. Stay to the right as you enter.
concretemonk 31 Mar, 2015 @ 11:43pm
ok i looked for the sword in bloated man's grotto but i can't find it. does the hircine quest need to be activated in order to get it? because i know that if you go in to the grotto before the quest is runnig, you find the oath blade, but won't during the hircine quest.
Korppilainen 26 Feb, 2015 @ 7:34pm

UberSmaug  [author] 22 May, 2014 @ 6:35pm
@[91st] Audiate [Nr.24] Its on a small landing at the top of a fight of stairs just before the stone fort/cortyard section.

nerevar 20 May, 2014 @ 4:14pm
What CheWin said. I made a character based around this sword, and now that I'm trying to find it (months after I first subscribed) I can't find the thing. Help?
Combat Unit: Medicae 16 May, 2014 @ 1:28pm
ok i found it
Combat Unit: Medicae 16 May, 2014 @ 1:26pm
can anyone say me where i find it in the bloated man's grotto
UberSmaug  [author] 1 May, 2014 @ 12:41pm
@brennandeutsch97 I know, I was just being a smart-ass, I had to double check the spelling myself cuz it did seem odd, but Deutschmann is a German surname.
Shipmate 1 May, 2014 @ 12:09pm
@UberSmaug interesting fact to know im super into ancient swords and other weapons but i never said it was named after me
UberSmaug  [author] 24 Apr, 2014 @ 2:11pm
@brennandeutsch97 sorry to say but the sword is not named after you, but the artist Joseph Deutschmann, attributed with carving the hilt of the real world sword that this is modeled after. http://www.metmuseum.org/collections/search-the-collections/22914
Shipmate 24 Apr, 2014 @ 1:25pm
spelled dutchman wrong lolz deutsch means german in the germanic language and it actually happens to be my last name
Jaron Kitsune 11 Apr, 2014 @ 2:43am
Hmm, this actually looks like a sword a merchant who knows how to defend themself might have... I think I'll slap this in my favorites because I've had a merchant character sitting in the back of my mind for a time now.
Curia II 9 Apr, 2014 @ 6:49pm
personally i enjoy it when mod makers place the item in a specific location or make it only findable through a quest since it feels cheap to be able to craft these weapons, apart from things from othergames those i dont care about.
BamBOOZLE 9 Apr, 2014 @ 12:31pm
This is great, but can you make it craftable?
Duke Feariarch 8 Apr, 2014 @ 1:54pm

UberSmaug  [author] 6 Apr, 2014 @ 2:26pm
@swaglord68 That is from my diamond smithing series. You can find it in my collection above the description. I've got every type of weapon, light and heavy armors, even enchanted arrows and bolts in there too.
knight sirhaxalot 6 Apr, 2014 @ 12:06pm
